That Kora music was amazing. Fun fact: the Kora has 21 strings - 3 sets of 7 - that are symbolic to West African culture; there are 7 strings for the past, 7 strings for the present, and 7 strings for the future. It doesn't fit into any one category of musical instrument, so it's classified as a "double-bridge-harp-lute". Imho the most gifted Kora player I have ever heard is Toumani Diabaté, who I saw in concert in 2017 in sort of a "super group" tour with his son Sidiki Diabaté (a very talented singer) and singer/songwriter/actress Fatoumata Diawara.
I would definitely love to see you do a full day at a park utilising genie plus from 7am. Its probably best to do MK with that park having more rides. If you do go in an afternoon it's best to keep refreshing because random earlier times do pop up
Molly from allears refreshes the lightning lane availability window and sometimes a closer time might pop up. Kinda like restaurant reservations. Just keep checking often.
I was there last week and my AK day was my best day. I got there about 10 min. into early entry for hotel guests and walked on Navi. Safari didn't open until 8 so by the time I got over to it, it was just a walk on. It was a cool morning and all the animals were out and active, the lion was roaring, the baby rhino was out jumping and playing. Those were the only two rides I rode, I walked the trails like Tim, stopped and looked at all the little exhibits around everywhere, watched the bird show and Lion King. It was the best day.
Africa is my favorite, not only for the music, but also the artists. I love seeing traditional artwork like the wood carvers. Have a couple of the carved animal masks in my home ❤️
Just wanted to say a quick thank you to you guys. I started watching back in 2015/2016 when I was 10-11 and had a major Disney obsession. Since then, my interests have changed a lot, but no matter what I can always come back to this channel and feel the same peace and joy I felt back when I was 10 watching it after school. Thanks so much, god bless!
Tim talking about the water buffalos: "They're just underwater, hanging out, sniffing butts" 🤣🤣 And the hippos: "look at that butt!" Tim is so reserved in his later filming career that he really takes me by delightful surprise when he says things like this. Keep it coming Tim 😁
The hippo story Tim is probably a "just so story" that my Mom would read to us when i was little, now 68 and they are out of favor. Wonderful story thank you for sharing!
Everyone says the key to genie + is to keep refreshing to get new times. even if you take 20 minutes its worth it. they also say if you are going later in the day still make your first choice at 7am (for later in the day) and keep staking LLs when you are able to book more every 2 hours. hope it helps!
I have a video from only a few years ago of the musician playing the string instrument in Africa, I am very delighted to see he is still playing his amazing music at Animal Kingdom!
Tim- Have you tried stacking LL with Genie +? Make your first pick at 7ish am but for a late afternoon time (something popular that goes quick), then make another 2hr after park open, then another 2hr later. Make them all for evening as close together as possible then head to park around 4/5pm. This worked well for us at MK and EPCOT
I was at animal kingdom last week and we ended up having a private tour, it was only my family and the guide!! All of the members of staff were amazed that it had never happened before, it was a really cool experience. I can’t remember the guide we had but he was really good and he gave us a great experience!!
Just so you know -- that drop off on the right side of the lightening lane is for the handicapped / needs assistance loading -- that's where the truck loads as well. We used with my folks who need a walked and the cast members helped us out by sending us through that section and on to the truck.
Kilamanjaro Safari, and Maharjah Jungle Trek (the tigers, IF they're out), and Gorilla Falls are 3 of my fave things in AK! And I adore otters - there used to be a family of them living along the Sassagoula in OKW, and i'd love to sit there and watch them. I wish they would have been at AK while I was still going regularly, I would have loved to have seen them there. I also enjoy meeting the different CM's from around the world in AK, and at AKL - always so welcoming, gracious, and eager to tell you about their home countries! Disney cupcakes ALWAYS have WAY too much icing, and it's always WAY too sweet! I remember that story line with the bridge, and te poachers, and Little Red. I rarely saw lions on the safari, and if I did, they were almost always female, and sleeping. :) Wow - the hippo story is pretty intense, and kind of violet, especially for a family park! Socially distanced hugs to the 3 of you from New Jersey. Stay strong, stay positive, stay healthy!
The 1st time I went on the safari I heard thunder over the Savannah and I thought man Disney has that theme down! Then I got off the ride and all the cast members were running like mad to cover stuff up and within 10 minute It was an absolute cloud burst.
I cant believe you've never been to pizzafari, we loved it there and it was good value. So tasty 😊 animal kingdom was our favourite park by a long shot!
lol I’ve eaten at pizzafari many times and every time it’s just average Disney pizza but I also feel like Tim has eaten there before like is that just me lol I feel like I remember him eating there before
I love when you take us on a walk! The babies are too cute. Check Molly’s videos on AllEars - she has great videos on how to make the most of Genie and they helped us have an amazing trip. I would love to see you do a resort guest experience with Genie. Thanks for all you do :)
The hippo story is an old Anansi tale from Africa. Those stories were brought over to America and are the same source of the brer Rabbit/Fox/Bear tales that you see at splash mountain.
When I bought Genie+ I booked my first ride of the day at 7a.m. but for the afternoon. i was then able to book another ride 2 hrs after park open & every 2 hrs after that. i stacked all of mine for late afternoon as my teens liked to sleep in & it worked well for us.
When we went to Disney years ago the safari ride used to be a ride where you were trying to catch the elephant poachers. It was alot of fun. They pretended to get stuck on the bridge and it was like we were starting to fall through. I don't know why they stopped that. Maybe it was too scary for some? I did find some videos on it. Ha I wrote that comment before I saw your fun fact about the bridge!
Hey Tim thanks flying AK park flag, it is my fav park too! What was that suspension bridge over the animals, can you do that some time as looked so cool! Shout out to Jenn for amazing editing with Tim’s story.
Tim, you really need to learn to refresh multiple times for lightening lanes. Times will pop up randomly that are earlier and you are truly not getting the most out of your purchase. I've always been able to pull an earlier time.
I enjoyed Animal Kingdom so much when we visited in December. We had a great time and the wait times were pretty short, which was a bonus! The baby animals were very cute ☺️ thanks for sharing
Thank you so much Tim, Jen, and Jackson so much for all the wonderful videos you do for all of us. I've been watching for 7yrs now. My almost 6yr old grandson has been watching since he was born and his 2yr old brother and 7month old brother watch with us now. We just found out the boys' mommy is pregnant again. So Little Earl, Odinn, and Little Frank say hi. Love the videos
On my spring break trip in March we had genie + for twos days at MK and HS/EPCOT. MK we rope dropped space mountain and then rode 12 other rides that day with 10 of them with lighting land reservations. HS we rope dropped tower of terror and alien swirling then used LL for the rest of toy story land. We went to Epcot for the rest of the day and used LL at multiple rides and almost had a LL for ratatouille but it sold out while trying to get one around 3pm.
Hey Tim and Jenn! There is a children’s cartoon series called Tinga Tinga and it’s a bright and beautiful cartoon series that tells African tales about animals. Similar to the hippo story you read out.
Thanks Trackers. Don't think I will make it to Disney this year so I live through you guys. Thanks for all you do. Also love watching Jackson grow up. My son will be 20 so watching Jackson reminds me of my son at those ages. Again thanks for all you do 🤩
Great video, I just want to say we just finished a 10 day stay and didn’t use genie + at all. We got on all the rides, some twice! Why not try a rope drop day NO genie at all!! Worked for us!! ❤️
Tim and Jen, we love your channel, "So Informative" been watching for a long time. Thanks for provided us with such great content on "what's happening" at Disney. Looking forward to watching your new video's and seeing you and your family having fun!
the views of the animals you got were so cool to see, I've been 18 times and the most up close I've gotten to any of the ak animals was when I was like 3 & a tiger stopped in front of the glass, pic photo
If you’re looking for Genie+ recommendations, try booking the first one at 7am and using the 2 hr rule to stack a few for the afternoon. This works for regular genie+ not the individual purchase ones. Might help stretch your purchase a little bit
I know it's been mentioned a lot...BUT!@ youre doing it wrong! For Genie + you need to keep refreshing!! Just because it gives you 545pm doesn't mean that's all available! Refresh..times change! Refresh throughout the day! Many varying times pop up!! It's not just one try & oh well nothing is left. They come available at random times throughout the day so don't give up. 😅 I hope you guys get the hang of it! It can be really beneficial as you saw from Safari. Anyways! Thanks for the video! Ps - I remember the 'broken' bridge !!
Thank you for sharing this and a special thank you to Jenn for editing these vlogs I know it takes a lot of time to prepare one of these and taking care of Jackson you both are amazing
Darn! Me and my sister keep missing you. Yesterday we were at Epcot and then Magic Kingdom. Hope you are enjoying your days at the parks. Today (28th April) we are at Magic Kingdom then tomorrow (29th April) were at Islands of Adventure. Fingers crossed we see you haha :)
Walking through that aviary on Jungle Trek a few years ago, a bird pooped on my head much too the amusement of my husband and sons - I was not very amused! 😂
Tim you need to buy Genie+ at 7am. Book your first LL. Even if you're booking your first LL for 3pm, 2 hours after park opening you can book another one (ie 9am opening you can stack LL #2 at 11am, then stack LL #3 at 1pm etc...)
Haven’t been to animal kingdom for about 10 years but i remember the bridge scared the heck out of me i thought it was actually breaking back when it did it’s little show
Thanks for the video! I hope to get to that park some day if I get over to Florida. Hippos are actually one of the most deadly animals to man in Africa...yikes!
Omg! Don’t pass on it! Tim really hasn’t learned how to use it. Please don’t go by what he says! I hate paying for it, but it saved us so much time once we got a good understanding of how and when to use it! Seriously, do some more research! 😉
Tim, you've got to try stacking your lightning lanes early in the morning so they're ready for you when you get to the park later. Log on at 7-8am and pick a LL for a ride that has its earliest time about when you plan to arrive. (Probably Navi River at AK), then wait your 120 minutes and book your next LL for when you'll be at the park. Keep doing that until you get there and you will end up with 3-4 LL reservations all in a row and you can knock them all out in a few hours.
Question, i cannot get to the park until 530pm since I work 8-5 and have pixie dust pass. If I am going tomorrow from 5-9, how would that work with stacking LL? If I pick one at 7am, then I can get another at 9, then 11, etc? or only 2
Don't you have to be actually IN the park to be able to book a LL?! If not, that sucks bc then people would be booking LL and not using them making it impossible for others to get LL reservations. 😒
Hey everyone! Thanks for hanging out with me today at Animal Kingdom! I hope you enjoyed seeing all the animals and all the fun animal facts! Here are some more fun Animal Kingdom vids that I really like and thought you might like to see them too! Thanks for watching and we'll see you tomorrow!

Love all your videos!!!!! 🤠👍🏻
TIM SURE HAD A WILD TIME!
OTTERS ARE MY FAVOURITE!! Thank you for including them! 💚

That’s a really cool instrument 😱👍🏻
We really enjoyed it! Any chance you recognize the song?
Thank you for the information. That was really beautiful. I was marveling at that instrument and musician.
I would definitely love to see you do a full day at a park utilising genie plus from 7am. Its probably best to do MK with that park having more rides.

Anyone else notice that when Tim entered the lightning lane at 12:47, it was also 12:47 in the video? That's great editing!
I know that prices at theme parks are always higher, but still seeing prices for some of those things is like...woof. 😬
I’ve been obsessed with you guys recently!! I love watching Jackson grow up and how you guys include us in so much!
Molly from allears refreshes the lightning lane availability window and sometimes a closer time might pop up. Kinda like restaurant reservations. Just keep checking often.
Came here looking for fellow Molly fans! Wonder what she would say about Tim’s sudden admiration of pillow pizza!
I'm thinking Tim needs to watch some Molly videos for some lessons. Lol
I was there last week and my AK day was my best day. I got there about 10 min. into early entry for hotel guests and walked on Navi. Tim just going in to check on the animals is so wholesome ☺️☺️
Tim really said “it’s not that hot outside, it’s 81°”
i wish-
it was 63° out today and i thought it was nice out lol
I know. 😂(I don’t like 81 though.)
at 63 I'd need a sweatshirt 😬
I'm in Arizona... temperatures in the 80s are late winter/early spring! Florida has it even worse due to the humidity.
After a stressful day this is just what I needed! Thank you for taking me away! This video like all your video's you bring me happiness!!😇
This comment says it all!!!! :)
I MISS THE ANIMALS!
When Tim said "50 dollars!?!? Oh for the 50th 😏" I cackled
I like Tim’s justification of the 50 dollar 50th tumbler. “OH! 50, for the 50th! Hm!”
I love videos like this when you do things you don’t normally do!!!
golden weavers yaasss i stan those guys i could truly watch them for HOURS lol
Tim talking about the water buffalos:
"They're just underwater, hanging out, sniffing butts" 🤣🤣
And the hippos: "look at that butt!"
Tim is so reserved in his later filming career that he really takes me by delightful surprise when he says things like this. Keep it coming Tim 😁
thank you Tim I enjoy animal kingdom love that baby gorilla 🦍 so cute
I love a relaxing AK day with all the adorable animals
Perfect voiceover for the meerkat:
“Look at this distinguished gentleman! Yes, look at the way he is sitting, yes.”
The hippo story Tim is probably a "just so story" that my Mom would read to us when i was little, now 68 and they are out of favor. Wonderful story thank you for sharing!
wowww what a wild story about the hippos
I love seeing the baby animals.
"I miss the animals..." Lost it😆

That flamingo cupcake was pretty impressive looking. Loved seeing all the animals and neat musicians.
Oh that flamingo is so pretty! Love my pink birds 🦩 drink looks great too. Glad you are enjoying the animals.
Thankyou Tim for the video amazing looking at the animals and the drink you had looked great 👍🏻

Otherwise genie + is kinda trash, hard to get more than 2 LLs with daytime use
Y’all have the best content currently!
Love the safari, always great to do , love animal kingdom so much to do and see !
Aww! I have a picture of that 7 year old gorilla when it was just a few months old when I was there doing the college program :)
Pizzafari garlic knots are the best thing ever. The breadsticks suck but the garlic knot are delicious

THE SITAR GUY IS BACK!!!!!!!! YEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!
Animal Kingdom is my favorite park! Great food and great vibes!
those kids one the safari were so cute reminded me of when my little brothers were still little
Get a cupcake from sprinkles at Disney Springs!!!
Good to see entertainment is coming back x
The Butterfinger cupcake years ago at the place behind Brown Derby was the best cupcake at Disney!
I enjoyed this video so much! Loved all the animals and music.
Animal kingdom is in my opinion the best Disney world theme park.
I agree! It's a favorite of ours too!
The 1st time I went on the safari I heard thunder over the Savannah and I thought man Disney has that theme down! Then I got off the ride and all the cast members were running like mad to cover stuff up and within 10 minute It was an absolute cloud burst.
Lol; when fantasy and reality intersect?
I cant believe you've never been to pizzafari, we loved it there and it was good value. So tasty 😊 animal kingdom was our favourite park by a long shot!

Love the video! So fun to see such a relaxing and educational video from a Disney Park. :) You got some fantastic animal coverage! Thanks!
Yay! Love the videos
Tim bought a Tesla just so he could park at the charging banks which are right by Preferred Parking 😆
“where did that come from? why is it here?”😂😂😂
Tim, Lightning Lane is definitely a much better deal if you start at 7am.
Always enjoy a trip out to Animal Kingdom. Thanks Tim.
You should to the Animal Trek with Jenn. It is so much fun and you learn a lot!
I love when you take us on a walk! The babies are too cute. Check Molly’s videos on AllEars - she has great videos on how to make the most of Genie and they helped us have an amazing trip. I would love to see you do a resort guest experience with Genie. Thanks for all you do :)

Love you all!!! Thank you both for all the hard work you do!!!!
The hippo story is an old Anansi tale from Africa. Those stories were brought over to America and are the same source of the brer Rabbit/Fox/Bear tales that you see at splash mountain.
I’m in Florida when I was on the way to animal kingdom I watched this video and it helped me and my family thank you
Thanks for taking us to AK, it's the best! Love seeing all the animals. That cupcake looked beautiful.
They freeze food & treats in the ice to give the otters something to play with. It’s to stimulate them - keep them from being bored.
When I bought Genie+ I booked my first ride of the day at 7a.m. but for the afternoon. i was then able to book another ride 2 hrs after park open & every 2 hrs after that. i stacked all of mine for late afternoon as my teens liked to sleep in & it worked well for us.

Thank you so much Tim, Jen, and Jackson so much for all the wonderful videos you do for all of us. I've been watching for 7yrs now. 😳 I can't believe Disney has that story posted about the other animals lighting a hippo on fire.... doesn't seem very MAGICAL TO ME
If you’re looking for Genie+ recommendations, try booking the first one at 7am and using the 2 hr rule to stack a few for the afternoon. This works for regular genie+ not the individual purchase ones. Might help stretch your purchase a little bit

Walking through that aviary on Jungle Trek a few years ago, a bird pooped on my head much too the amusement of my husband and sons - I was not very amused! 😂
😊 That bird you saw looks like a miniature peacock.
There’s an even younger Gorilla there. We saw her last week, she’s 9months old and super adorable.
Tim you cracked me up water buffalo sniffing butt x
The purple flower tree is called "Jacaranda" native to most part of Latin America especially Mexico
A HURRICANE OF JACARANDAAA-AAA-AAAA-AAA
OMG, the giraffe skull looks like a dragon!
Great, fun vlog! Lightning lane and genie plus both seem to be underperforming.
Tim has no luck with lightning lane. We are coming in June and I think we may pass on LL.
Omg! Don’t pass on it! Tim really hasn’t learned how to use it. Please don’t go by what he says! I hate paying for it, but it saved us so much time once we got a good understanding of how and when to use it! Seriously, do some more research! 😉
It’s amazing, Catfish can get huge, bigger than people.
love the music...beautiful

Question, i cannot get to the park until 530pm since I work 8-5 and have pixie dust pass. If I am going tomorrow from 5-9, how would that work with stacking LL? If I pick one at 7am, then I can get another at 9, then 11, etc? or only 2
I scream this every video! I loved seeing the animals though.
Don't you have to be actually IN the park to be able to book a LL?! If not, that sucks bc then people would be booking LL and not using them making it impossible for others to get LL reservations. 😒
@@rebeccaheuer3255 only in Disneyland. In Disney Works you can book at 7am from wherever you are.
