Fun Fact: Not only do Deinos cause the Fracture/Bleed debuff from their Giga Bite, but they also take 50% reduced damage to the head while having similar HP to a Rex making them SIGNIFICANTLY better soakers than the Rex while also being able to just melt bosses with their Giga Bites. Also you can 1v1 the Ice Titan with a Deino and, if you have a massive army of Deinos, you can melt the wandering King Titan.
You forgot to mention that the Deinosuchus bleed debuff works on bosses, which does percent damage and also makes the Deinos do bonus damage to their target, plus that they have the tail swipe attack which does a lot of damage AND that they can be used underwater indefinitely for Moder and water caves. Easily the best boss dino overall.
i think the allo is underrated for boss fights with its pack buff and attack speed and being similar size to theri it better for tek cave and etc my opinion
Spinos are so underrated, they are my best pick for megatherium because they have high dps so they shred it quicker than a rex, they also do better than you think against brood mother
@GraviPenguin I love the Spino and tried using them and as someone who doesn’t like breeding at all they did ok against beta but rexes did much better idk why wildcard made spinos health so much worse than the Rex it makes no sense. It would make Spino one of best creatures in the game especially for someone doing a no flyers play through cause their travelling capability is amazing
Ark would benefit a lot from an underwater version of the Yutyrannus, imagine going through the water caves better able to deal with the insane leveled creatures you bump into
Please note that using feather raptors can cause lose of engrams. If the boss dies to bleed instead of an actual melee attack, you will not get credit. Normally with several feather raptors this will not happen as if they swarm, they will normally get melee as the last hit. BUT, if it dies to bleed, it will not count as you or your dino killing it.
we had great luck on my server with santa gifts getting dreadnoughtus from them, we are currently breeding them towards a million hp, they are absolutely insane
This list needs serious readjustment and fleshing out on reasoning because its either lacking on some or downright incorrect on others. Spino is top 6 with Megalosaurus beating it out because as long as its night time, have fun speed running the boss. One of uses make dinos weak bosses because they arent going to be used 100% Charch is probably top 7 because its heavily used for end game stuff outclassing the giga most often than not as a solo player. Deinosuchus is definitely No. 1 with it being Rex Theri Yuty, the pig is not required if you know what youre doing.
I've used deinosuchus for boss fights and may I just say using them is amazing? I first use them in the center on normal difficulty just to see if I can handle it. So I use six of them, and they obliterated the bosses in the center and four days ago, i've used them to fight the broodmother on normal difficulty, they almost died, but they succeeded. And i'm creating a high level one i'm going to be using them. It's a fight in the island and scorched Earth. Maybe extinction, I know you can't take them in aberration, but I love using them. Let me know what creatures I should send in to help them
Hey bro. Can you do a video on your ark settings for single player? I'm doing single player for the first time and it's a good bit different from PVP/PvE. Keep up the good work dude! For console. ASE please.
you said that the deinonychus is the only dino that can bleed out bosses but aparently the deinosuchus does that to.His giga bite gives enemies a smilar bleed debuff called broken bones, where a creature gets i think 5% of its health drained over 15 seconds,if it moves tho.The 30k damage in the dragon fight come from the bleed i guess and not the actual gigabite, cuz you can see the dragon flying(so moving wich triggers broken bones) and there he gets these 30k damage ticks
So do herbivores automatically eat the veggie cakes if they are in their inventory? Or do they have to be force fed? And will they only eat 1 at a time or will they just eat them all at once?
Do you know how to counter titans if someone tries to raid you with them? Turrets don’t see them on survivors/tames but they do on all targets. Aside from this a deathwall still gets crushed against one. What tames would you recommend to counter one?
The actual creatures on the list is like 6-7/10. It’s pretty ok but the number placement is everywhere. Mosa shouldn’t really be on the list since there’s only one water boss atm, Titans shouldn’t be in to begin with, not having shadowmane should be a crime itself, you would always want giga over carcha for any Titan related boss fight (except desert), all flyers/climbers should be lowered because they can’t go into most fights, and you forgot deinonychus on the list and that it’s the only creature you can apply bleed to bosses but the fact it’s bleed is incredibly potent. And that’s just to name a few things. Not trying to be mean but the list could be better
@@toadboy4 Ik I bred up some good spinos for tek cave once and found out they can’t fit but the carchar can which is the most stupid thing I’ve ever seen
@ yeah, they need to fix the Carchar hitbox, or make it so Spinos can fit, or both! My very first Island playthrough which I did solo, I had bred up some Spinos and found out they didn’t fit, so then I just decided to use the “ghost” command to get them in, and then I found out that they don’t even get teleported by the teleporter in there! Does Wildcard have something against the Spino?! They even nerfed them in Ascended, and they were already worse than the Rex!
@ wait what I didn’t even know that they did that cause I don’t play Asa much cause ase better only reason I play ascended is cause of the mods if it didn’t have mods it be irrelevant to me. Like what though nerfing spinos is crazy they should either buff them to being as good as rexes or only a bit worse with hp like a 1000 hp difference which is not that much. Or nerf the rexes to be only just as good as the spinos which make then the bosses even harder
@@Gingerninjawinja I wouldn’t play either Ark without mods personally. But yeah Spinos have always had 700 health even since launch which has always confused me. I would think they would be tankier but less damaging than Rexes, but they are much less tanky and now do less damage. The thing they nerfed on them is their attack speed is SIGNIFICANTLY slower. And I mean significantly! It’s almost HALF! And yet they didn’t nerf the Megalos at all, so megalos went from being the better option in Aberration to the only option in Aberration for Rockwell I really hope they buff the Spino at some point, or nerf the Rex and Megalo (at least the Ab variant) but they probably won’t
@ yeah I agree hope they do change the Spino or Rex and megalo cause spinos are one of my favourite tames in ark but they just not viable. I hope wildcard at least put in Jurassic mods in Asa which would make me play the game and like have two versions where one is balanced for vanilla so I can use the Jurassic park Spino in boss battles without being op and then the other version is like the og one if it makes sense
Ps5 ASA and on the island my tamed Dino’s are disappearing completely kill logs not showing a death and tracker system isn’t able to find them but the tribe log does mark they were tamed WHY ! ! I lost a good stego and spino and a lovely hyenadon that resembles my real life dog 😅
Well you can use Veggie Cakes on Theris, plus they’re herbivores so they don’t take extra damage from the dragon which does extra to carnivores like the Rex

Helpful video! I am gearing up to take on my first set of bosses. Started playing 5 weeks ago. Thanks for the tips!
I've played over 800hr on ASE and 200hr on ASA. Never fought a boss. I've been thinking about it recently. This video might be a sign 👍
If you have friends you play with I recommend doing a full play through of the island. Fighting the overseer for the first time is so fun

I wonder if this will be nerfed at any point. Thyla's are not allowed in bossfights for that reason

The dreadnoughtus can target the gamma king titan. The other difficulties it can’t
The Deinosuchus has bleed on the giga bite and if the Dino moves they start taking bleed damage but if it’s standing still it will take nothing
