- Pinag-aaralan ng kampo ni presumptive President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. ang panukalang buhayin ang Bataan nuclear power plant. Aniya, nag-alok ng tulong ang South Korean government sa Pilipinas para busisiin ang planta upang masimulan na ang proseso nito.

Not sure why will they, since they are just electric distributor. BNPP operation just means there is more electrical supply, they will actually benefit as well si CE there will be more supply for consumers and less issues will arise from the lack of supply.

It is of utmost imperative na magawan ng solusyon ang nalalapit n crisis ng bansa sa kuryente, ang problema ang isang planta kahit maliit ay umaabot ng at least 3 years before completion. Lahat ng paraan, lahat ng maaaring solusyon, di lang sa supply kundi dahil n rin sa mataas n singil ay tignan at suriin mabuti para sa kapakanan ng buong bansa. Our country is one of the highest cost of electricity in the world. It is one of the reasons why investors hesitates to invest in our country. If NBPP will decrease the energy prices, then it should be definitely a go! I hope that it will be owned by government. Also one of the laws they should look up to is the law that states "power producing entity should be privately owned". That is one of the changes they made during during the 1987 revision of our constitution.

For industries and manufacturing to thrive… infrastructure, cheap energy, resource of raw materials & low taxes on trade/tariffs. A strong median of exchange(Piso) is needed… money is the fruit of your labor, what is the value of Labor, your Purchasing power..? it should be good as gold(gold backed currency).

🇵🇭💕🇵🇭 l am a proud Filipino, through and through, though I am living here in the western world for a long long time. On the issue of Nuclear Energy, the cons ( disadvantages) far outweighs the pros (advantages). While it's true that it can be a source of cheaper electricity, it is highly dangerous as well and various factors must be studied very carefully to know if the Philippines is really ready to operate such. Madaling sabihin na buksan Yan para magkaroon Ng murang electricity but kailangan usisahin Muna Ng husto. Here are some of the issues of concerns : 1) operation of such plants can be very expensive in reality and only Richer nations can afford to do so, 2) the radioactive wastes disposal . If facilities are not properly taken cared at, it will turn the area ( Bataan & other surrounding areas) become hazardously radioactive for hundred and hundreds of years, 3) communities living nearby are exposed to radioactivity and can be prone to various types of cancers, 4) Natural catastrophies. We are one of the countries in the so called Pacific Ring of Fire and having such can be risky/deadly. The Philippines is not a highly advanced country and we do not have yet the strong capability to tackle these kinds of problems when such arises. Take the the Fukushima incident in Japan as an example. To this day, that area is still radioactive and will remain so for the next hundred of years, 5) Human error. Take again the Chernobyl incident as an example. It was known to have been caused by a single human error. The effect was deadly and catastrophic that even today, the city of Chernobyl is highly radioactive and shall remain so for the next thousands of years.
Again, para sa ikabubuti Ng ating Bansa, kailangan pag-aralan Muna Ng husto Bago buksan ang Bataan Nuclear Power plant, leave no stone unturned, kahit na nandyan pa yan. It's so easy to say na maganda Yan Nuclear Power plant para magkaroon ng murang electricity, pero ito ay Isang mabigat na bagay na kailangan usisahin Ng husto dahil Ang consequences nito kapag may kaunting pagkakamali lang sa operasyon nito ay malagim na catastrophic scenario due to radioactivity, which will linger on for the next several hundreds of years. In totality, to open the Bataan Nuclear Power plant is like "jumping out of the frying pan into the fire". It'll be far better for our country to invest more in other safer sources of renewable energy.
T.y. for these very very important points. Look at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine. Up now, decades after the disaster, still is radioactive. A nuclear power plant in Luzon will render the seas on Bataan at risk of radioactive contamination...marine life as well as the farms.
Good observation and must be studied further on this matter. Finding other source of renewable source is a top priority but it is difficult to do of providing a more than a filipino household nationwide.
