    I get what you are saying about the exhaust, but I would love a closer look, and explanation of how you did it. I would like to do the exact same.

      Hi Logan. I can definitely do that. Would you be able to message me on face book message?

      @@gillsnbillsoutdoors612 I don't have Facebook just Instagram, but I'd like to do the same exhaust with mine, I'm sure others would like a closer look on TH-cam as well. Thanks

    This would probably be the last machine to go through the ice.Very light footprint,and does not have to be registered in WI(so far).I have the sport model on order,which seems to be nice with the heated grips.

      We are waiting on our sport model to! We have had our snowdog on 2” of ice not that I recommend that but it is possible.

    Bro, im in utah. I wanna hit up some places up in the moutians.... may be steeper access that what you showed in the video. You think that machine would have an issue on a log road covered in snow with a bit of grade?

    • @gillsnbillsoutdoors612
      @gillsnbillsoutdoors612  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess it depends on the load.. we have run on some pretty steep stuff but we also added a seat up front under the cover so if we need more traction I jump up front and traction isn’t an issue then

    curious about the differences between the husky product line and the snowdog. . Probably a tough question, but if someone knows, love to hear what you have to say.

    I just picked up an older model. I had to do a bit of work as it had been sitting for a while. I can’t wait to get out and give it a try. Thanks for the review

    I was hoping to see your handle modifications up close and what is your height? Helps to know if I would need to do the same. Also, do you have heat grips under those sleeves

    • @gillsnbillsoutdoors612
      @gillsnbillsoutdoors612  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      All we did we cut 2x4 blocks to keep the handle bars from going all the way down. The handle bar limits out on the 2x4 which makes driving while standing much easier. We are both 6 foot 2” felt like we had to bend over allot with out the 2x4.. also no heated grips that wasn’t an option on the original models

      Thanks for replying. I kept seeing people operating them and they did always look hunched over. I have bad joints and some replaced, would you say operating this is on the extreme of a work out or it’s just something you get used too. I ask, because I have wanted one for years and have been hesitant. Thanks again

    hey was wondering what's the range in miles you get pulling 3 sleds worth of gear on a tank of gas?
    i'm thinking of ordering myself the twin track version instead of a snow sled as I'm not interested in going fast ~ thanks

      To be honestly I fill up in the morning and run around all day with our train and have plenty of gas by the end of the day.. have never run out in a single days use. Never honestly kept track of miles

    Assume you also have a rope start or comes factory with yours? How does it steer on only an inch or two of snow or maybe better question is if you have to exert a lot of muscle or strenght throughout the day leaning/pulling handle bars to steer? Do you need a clean sorta groomed trail or forest floor or is it able to traverse over say 1 foot diameter fallen logs/trees or sorta mogals in the woods whether rocks or clumps of debris? Late ice or say 45 degree air temps have you experienced any overheating issues or ability to run the lake 7-8 miles at a time without stopping? Reverse you activate at the chain case I assume. Chain drive? Does it have a belt or a clutch? What fluids other than engine oil? Air cooled right? Any trouble loading on a tilt bed or steeper ramp? Could you load in the back of a pick up with a traditional snowmobile or atv ramp or is that too much incline for the snowdog? Thanks for your post, I'm intrigued. Would love to see one in person or try one. One more question............at it's max towing capacity or max load of around 400 lbs. does the motor simply not have the power and get boggy or does the track spin out like a car stuck in snow?

    • @gillsnbillsoutdoors612
      @gillsnbillsoutdoors612  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does have pull start. It does take some upper body strength to muscle it around. Have gone over many of fallen trees.. no problems sleds are more of the problem they like to hang up on the logs. Warmer weather it will over heat take the cover off and that helps allot revers is a lever with cable on handle bar. I load mine in and out of a trailer no problems honestly and we have towed well over 400 pounds and of course she slows down but does it pretty dang good we have had 3 adults 2 kids 3 shacks and a extra sled and threw lots of slush and she manages

      Awesome. That’s not an option we have. Also I don’t mind buying something when it actually works every time I have it out.. I’d rather not be stuck on the ice with some home made bucket of bolts.
