Thanks so much for these videos! My only note would be a suggestion to be a little more informational when switching between exercises. My neck is mostly cocked sideways to follow you on the screen. Also, if you could start each exercise telling how many springs you’re using, that would be great too. You almost always do, but I fell behind quite a few times
Hi there - thank you so much for your feedback. I suspect that when I didn't mention springs I was in some non-talkable exercise ha ha ... I have noticed when the exercises get harder I get more silent. Please know that the more exercises in the workout - on the Reformer and Mat - does assume that you are familiar with the order of the exercises... the more exercises the more the pace must increase so the video is not too long... But yes, I strive to talk enough that you don't have to look at the screen as you describe. Thank you for watching and working out with me :) xox
Andrea Maida Hi! Thanks for responding. I also have a request! I have been practicing classic Pilates for over 10 years with a private instructor. It’s been so difficult to quarantine without it, so I splurged on an aeroPilates machine, a magic circle, inflatable ball, and that’s it! I try to improvise when you use props (long box, pole, etc.). I am wondering if you can make a “prop less” video? I hope it isn’t too much to ask ☺️ You are my favorite TH-cam instructor so far!
Hi there - thanks so much for watching and for your high praise on my YT videos :) it totally made my day! So let's talk about the Reformer first - that's awesome that you've gotten yourself an aeroPilates Reformer for your home - it is great to have our apparatus with us while in quarantine I agree. The box (used for both Long box and Short Box exercises) and a pole are integral parts of the Reformer repertoire, and not really in the prop category. I looked up the aeroPilates apparatus and it looks like the box and pole are sold separately. It is available a couple of places - Check out this link for it www.walmart.com/ip/Stamina-Aeropilates-Box-Pole-compliment-your-Pilates-Reformer-workout/17463881 You will get so much benefit out of the exercises which use the box/pole - which is why I recommend :) Please know I am not an expert on your particular Reformer, but I thought you would be able to figure out if this box goes with your machine. All that being said - I will add some prop-less videos and Magic Circle stuff to my filming list - thanks for the suggestion. And keep up the good work. The Pilates exercises have been a godsend in this time of Covid. We have to be able to control something, right? Even if it only our muscles LOL... xo
Hi Willy, Thanks for watching and for reaching out here with your question. On my Balanced Body Contrology Reformer there are 4 springs all with the same tension. The classical Reformers do not use colored springs - here's a link to a document with all the classical spring settings for the Reformer - check it out here www.pilatesandrea.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/ReformerPostListFinal.pdf I hope this will help to answer your question. xox
More 30 min workouts please! 💪
Yes! More 30 minute workouts coming soon :) Thanks for watching xo
Thanks so much! Studio is opening next week on a limited basis, and I needed a refresh.
Great to hear! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts here with us. Stay safe out there :) xo
