I did a leadership/ service learning program for at risk youth who already got in real trouble and it was their last chance and yea they resisted us. They feel like nobody care so they gave up so early. Once we got to em they just like that because everybody else around is liked that. We asked who know someone who been shot and all of em raised they hands and that’s what they chose to do a project to change. We can’t keep dismissing em and writing em off We gotta step up and keep pushing. I’ve been involved in community development for 7 years man they really out here lost and they are kids still developing. Everybody on that type of time - guess I gotta be But a lot of em really don’t want that…I too- got discouraged but that doesn’t help our people We gotta keep tryna save em I was on crutches from getting shot during a lot of this time And they kind of leaned towards me and figured they could do something else.:.when we couldn’t come back and keep working with em it devastated em And me too.
