What an amazing way to start season 3. The new set is incredible, the decision that you are going to be the main host is terrific. Gives yourself, George and Lisa the best opportunity to make a success of the podcast! Ali and Lily on the episode, what a treat. I do not watch big brother but have heard of them. Great to get to know them. You are such a natural interviewer. Sending positivity to you all! 🩵✨️🎙🎧
@@VintageBabyOx It made perfect sense inside the house lol. Explain why it didn’t make sense WITHIN the house? the hierarchy was never meant for OUTSIDE the house lol, why would it? Use critical thinking, please.
Marcello's last night argument with Ali was predetermined and part of his game plan. I think he thought that the general public loved him and agreed with his stances, so by attacking the strongest person in the house, and someone that he probably thought the general public wouldn't like too, would give viewers a final sense of "ah, he's finally done it" thereforing giving him a reason to be crowned the winner. Whereas in reality, it just made him look bitter and hungry for the limelight.
18:14 FYI rosie was the one that asked the question and marcello just answered it. yes he probably waffled on for too long but he really got all the flack in that situation
I love these two💕🫶🏼 Lily is such a cutie and so funny bless her heart. Very glad Ali looked out for her in there. I felt protective of Lily from behind a screen never mind if I was in that environment with her. Not everyone will have the same view but I 100% get it, she’s so endearing and has such an innocence about her, I just hope she holds onto it as she gets abit older. Life can be cruel and she has such a beautiful carefree mind set that most people would love. She’s so full of life and I don’t know why anyone would want to take that sense from someone so pure.
The amount of microagressions targeted at “the core” in this podcast is honestly kind of scary. These people haven’t really done anything to Ali but you would think they ran over her cat with the way the interviewer is talking. And I would love to know what you mean by “the core’s values” cause none of them shared the same values at all. The only thing they all had in common was that they were working class, all intercity young people and all POC (besides Thomas). That’s literally it. Hanah and Khaled were both Muslims but that doesn’t mean they share the same values either. Like Wtf. Hanah is literally a hardline Corbyn supporter and Marcello is a trump supporter yet they still managed to get along. Khaled only ever spoke about his home country so is he saying. He disagrees with Khaled’s views because he is pro-Palestinian. Like Wtf are these wild accusations being thrown at all the POC contestants? When we had people like Nathan and Sarah who said WAY worse?
Micro aggression, what? Literally shut up. The core group put themselves above everyone else, they literally named themselves the core🤣 the values they are talking about has nothing to do with them being Muslim or anything else like that, it’s the way they were operating around the house that they didn’t agree with, as well as the other 52% that voted Ali to win. They grouped together and the only person they lost from their group from start to end was Khaled in week five? All because Marcelo saw him as a potential winner so didn’t save him. sick of people acting like they didn’t have benefits in the house they certainly did and they know it, they for real named themselves the core group 🤣 get a grip.
Hanah was the only one with any sense of fairness, loyalty and friendship. Which is why I wished she’d had branched out more. I think daze leaving was detrimental for Hanah, again, guess who voted daze? The core. Look at how Segun treated Hanah? She’s said she will never have anything to do with him now, Marcelo not saving Khaled even at her made him head of house, just because he knew he could win. That is the kind of values they are talking about. They had a lot of power within the house but realistically people didn’t respect their values as much as they thought.
@LucyAnna7384 They naturally gravitated towards each other & they did have some shared values + life experiences which is fine. The divide started after the Ali/Khaled fall out. Ali (when she mentioned the group)/Martha (during her argument with Hanah) did display micro aggressions. Ali's group dropped like flies because Martha was two faced & tried to vilify Hanah + Dean was whiny & went overboard with Sarah. I'm sure a lot of people wanted Nathan & Sarah out after their Stop the gloats joke or because of Nathan's comments throughout.
@LucyAnna7384 The wasn’t a “core” when Daze got voted out. They only formed that AFTER Daze’s eviction. And it was only Segun, who was friend’s with Daze, who voted for her. Daze wasn’t friends with anyone else from that “core”.
@LucyAnna7384 What do you mean by “literally shut up” why should I be quiet about obvious microagressions thrown at people who haven’t done anything to deserve it.
Same! She reminds me of a stronger version of myself. Well and calmer and less hyper so I guess I’m her and Lily mixed together. ❤ she was my favourite from the start!
There’s a reason she received flack for the way she treated Khaled. Just because you’ve always rooted for her doesn’t mean you should defend every one of her actions - the way she treated some poc members in the house was awful.
@@doyouknowwhoiam873 Did you even watch the show? The shift happened after Ali walked in on an upset Hanah & Khaled talking in the store room. He asked her to leave so the two of them could resolve the issue and they did. Ali said she saw him in a different light because of that probably due to her saviour complex. It did not involve her yet she wanted to attack his character by saying she could have told other housemates therefore wanting to change other housemates perception of him. Hanah didn't appreciate that & it affected Ali's relationship with the group after. It's okay to be an Ali Stan whilst also acknowledging where she messed up, nobody is perfect.
@@VintageBabyOxthat is true. But a lot of things are also taken out of context because it has been edited into 45 minutes. So they could be having a conversation that last 15 minutes but we only see like a minute of that. Sure she went about things in a way she shouldn’t, but she did not know that at the time. She explains that on another podcast. And she never hated khaled. I don’t think she had ANY bad intention with what she did, I just don’t think she realised the extent of her actions. But she has said that since looking back, she could have dealt with it better.
It's weird that the host said Khaled's issue with Ali stemmed from him having a crush on her. The source being Emma when in the drinking game Marcello drank & said he had a crush on her from day one + Khaled didn't. Emma was also in storage with Marcello on day one & likely got them mixed up. I remember Khaled complementing Ali, Rosie & Hanah on their beauty during the show but it's one thing to find someone attractive but it doesn't necessarily mean they actually want to be with them or are their type.
Of course you’ll always agree with Ali. Aside from Marcello being very nasty with his words and behaviour, what exactly did “the core” do to you? They weren’t the only group in the house, but Ali had a big problem with a group with majority of POC. Have you considered why Khaled may have come off as too nice instead of just calling him fake and inauthentic? It’s just weird to be honest considering you considered Lily as a fragile 20y/o who is like a daughter to you but not give that same grace to others who are just as young.
Love these two. There’s a reason they are the most followed on social media and Ali had an overwhelming victory. Good or bad they were both authentic. Not trying to be pretentious. Hannah was as fake as the Louis Vuitton bags in Liverpool Street market with her performative tantrums. Khaled tried to appear good but Ali clocked him. Segun was a fence sitter. Marcelo was himself. But we preferred Ali. Simple.
Hanah was funny although didn’t like ‘the core’ and Izaaz was a fence sitter as well, what’s wrong with that??. Not wanting to choose sides, that’s actually a great thing

@LucyAnna7384 i think the name is from it being their core group of friends in the house, but referring to it as the core was dumb lol. and only segun really had an obligation about disclosing his vote to daze since they had an agreement on that note, how about Martha talking about everyone, including her group of friends at some point, or Dean throwing Ali under the bus and then acting like nothing happened, or every one of Lily‘s friends (except Ali actually) talking about her and going along with complaints being made about her I still don’t see how their values were questionable or wrong.
