you can buy a true color auto darkening module under 100 bucks with a visor like 133x114 mm big, and you'll be blown by it's field of view and true color, plus it's adaptive, it saves time, Time equals money
Two reasons I've never bought the larger lenses and auto dark.. I have A.D.D. big time.. I need to focus just in front of me. I don't need to be seeing anything outside of that with light glaring off of it.. and 2, I've used auto dark before and it's a good way to get your eyes burn.. if not by law cell or irregular calibration.
I was at a buddy of mines house earlier. It was his grandfathers home til he passed away. Anyhow he was a welder, as am i. One was on his ole welding hood, i put it in the sun and it looked phenomenal. Asked my buddy if i could have it, not realizing what i was holding. Now here i am😂 sorry to my buddy.
@@thepineappler3370 i told him and he's cool (get it) with me having it. All i can say is God is good bc ive got some weld tests to take this coming week and im absolutely stoked to get to use it.
@@thepineappler3370 i heard that, denham springs area me. Ill probably bring it to tom waters at some point and see if they can shape it up to a fresher condition. It's not terrible but it's seen some years.
I had 3 AO lenses Shade 10 , 11, and 12 , bought them new from all supply in baton Rouge. And I've better hunting for replacements of equal quality ever since I broke my shade 11😢
Just landed one for $400. QC on my last job had one that his grandpaw got from when they quit making them. Apparently, the old man got a box of them right before they stopped making them. It's a shade 10. Yup, been welding 21 years and it's gotta be the the easiest on the eyes and clearest lens I've used. I think I may grab one more if I can.
Looks really nice… im a fairly new welder (4 yrs)… just now started getting into solid lenses. I appreciate them a lot more than autodark now
Oh absolutely.. I have AD lenses but just can't use them for anything unless I'm gonna be tacking all day..

Hey, how would you clean one of these? Just super soft cloth and distilled water? Thanks
I use nothing but dish soap and warm water
