@@anveshb7667 Yes, the lyrics indeed is the king! The rhyme and rhythm in the words is outstanding....all the while keeping the soulful meaning in the poetry! Even with the sad passing of the Sitaram Sastry, it's so refreshing to see Krishna Kanth, Ananth Sriram, Karunakar Adigarla, Rehman etc keeping the Telugu poetry in the stratosphere!
Bollywood unfortunately lacks the depth and soul in its poetry.....because most of the lyricists are merely showing off their Urdu prowess....liberally borrowing Arabic/Persian words/sentiments....that doesn't really connect with Indianness at all. Given that Telugu is 80% Sanskrit, every word & phrase from the the vast vocabulary uniquely embellishes the Indian emotion and sentiment.
In short Bollywood songs are like eating Baklava and falalel....as delightful as they maybe.....they're not Jalebi and Samosa!
