- Another Gun Sounds video, but today we have a comparison of the old gun sounds (before 9.2) and new gun sounds that are coming in update 9.2. Decided to make another video, to try and compare these sounds, and because I forgot to include sniper mode last time.

Decided to do another video about these sounds, where I compare both old and new ones. Also included sniper mode, since I forgot last time.
I'm slowly starting to like this sounds, because at first I didn't really like them, probably because I was used to the new ones for so long.

Dude the 152mm and 183mm sounded so cool before. I remember wanting to get the Su-152 just because it had that amazing sound

I don't mind the smaller caliber guns, I think they sounds quite nice. But the big caliber like the 152mm just sounds terrible compared the old ones.

Lol you feel like more accurate sounds are worse than less accurate sounds.
I think the higher caliber guns need a bit more tweaking. Something that makes them sound powerful and something you would fear to hear on the battlefield as you can hear the echo of the roar.

The lower tier is welcome, but not impressed with the "152" sound, it's been ruined imo. The 28 defender is one of my favorites to play, one of the reasons is the sound. Now it sounds just like the others. Not impressed
That's why I don't understand the hype around this update, all new sounds are the same besides small guns
Nothing sad and yeah I know the 152, 28 DF,FV183 other with the same sound like fv and defender it sounds magestic but 28 defender hasn’t been in one of the videos so we’re not sure if defenders have same or different gun sounds
@@dogdoesntbite8685 if the 183 changes then it's safe to assume the rest will. Under the impression all the sounds will change, but we'll see
There is already mods that change sounds to old ones (Still nothing for 28 tho)
the original 152mm cannon sound has that special ring to it, I feel like they should just work on making the vanilla sounds more detailed for it instead of making a completely new one.
That ring is my favourite part. Very iconic

I think one thing severely missing in all calibers, the big ones especially, is the echo. The echo really gives you a fell of how big and loud th guns are, and without them they just seem so much weaker.

The big calibers are really disappointing. Im gonna miss the 122 sounds. I love that one
I like hearing the shell canister making that ping noise after it leaves the breech, it sounds muffled and more quiet.
Gosh, I forgot how weak the new sounds were till WG updated them again!
There should be a way to switch between these sounds. That 152 mm sound was one of the reasons I wanted the E100
I'm in the middle because I like the old sounds but I also like the new sounds they sound more realistic than the old one's

I feel the same, at first I didn't like them, but I'm pretty sure I will get used to them when 9.2 comes out.
i think that with some small work on the SFX folder, older and newer sound can be mixed together, so for example you can have the new ones on small caliber guns (wich sounds better) and the old ones on large caliber guns (exept on the 183, the fact that it has a special sound is lovely)

Man, I will Miss the Old 183mm gun sound 😭 it was very good . but the rest of the sounds needed a change a long time ago.

I never really knew why people disliked the new gun sounds, after watching this video, I would prefer the old ones, especially large calibers as they sound more menacing. E.g. the shot in 2:00 has that echo that sounds like thunder while the new version 2:15 is much less intimidating.
Change is not bad but small details like empty shells hitting the ground in zoom mode is almost nonexistent in the new one which made me sad but it is what it is
The old 122m is gold, I miss them
For the 183 the new spund is better but it lacks the power the old one has the new sound could be better if they kept the sound if the shell being ejected and falling and hitting the floor
Well I mean it is more accurate as 183mm rounds don't have shells.
New gun sound are actually nice except the 122 and 152 sounds. The 122 doesn't feel as powerful but it still sounds nice but the 152 just feels like it's a 75mm or something. The old 152 sound is powerful and when I hear it I would fear getting hit by it

the old 94 mm gun sounds so nice
I love the old zoom mode sound because the sounds from inside is like a lot of metal is banging and clinging which is realistic. It feels like the gun breach is moving and open after firing the gun

I feel like wargaming nailed the lower caliber sounds. As for 100+ mm sounds they could use some work still
I think they will improve the sounds soon since it's still a test
I just started playing again after 1 year and when I heard the new sounds for the big guns i was like nooooooo cause i really liked them, especially the 152 and higher, their sounds reminds me of a thunder like you striked your enemy with a thunder of immense power, it was so satisfying to hear that when you hit someone :(

Maybe you should do another one comparing with and without the muzzel brakes cause they both produce different sounds as well
the new 122mm outside sounds more like a future gun than a 1950's 122mm tank cannon

I’m not sure why they hate the sound of the Shell bubbling around inside the tank but I love it
I think there need to be a specific volume for just the gun sounds and it goes up to 200% because the current one is just not loud enough. And by giving the gun sound a specific volume for just the gun sounds, everyone can experiment with how loud they want it to be.

the 152 sound is like... the same as the tier 1 pew pew cannons. just like a little piff sound... needs more of a *boom* behind it if you know what I mean,
Old such a good old days the derps super derp in old sound but now they look like sneezing derp
Personally I find that the sound of the ejection of the shell after the shooting is less impactful with the new sounds than with the old ones
I reckon the ideal scenario is
50mm: Revert back to old gun sounds for arcade shooting and use new gun sounds for the ADS sounds
This is like war thunder 1.89 vs 1.91 sound (lots of sound changed on that update)
Previous r so much better I don’t like that they pretty much removed the clanking and pinging of the shells being ejected in sniper mode 👎🏻

The higher capiber guns such as 152mm lack echo. The echo makes it sound more powerful

I'm not sure that I like how they made the zoomed-in sounds the same as zoomed out sounds, especially the small caliber machine guns

New sound of the higher caliber like my 120mm cannon sounds like a pressure tube released some air. But im all into realistic sounds . So i will stay on the realistic side. Fyi i've never been close or inside a tank firing a live shell before to idk the real sound would feel like.

For me, the change in the update may just be from the dull fart of the old version to the loud fart, the sound is still not big, the sense of space is insufficient, and it does not sound as if the cannon sound of the old version is more refined.... Who knows Well, maybe it will perform well in actual combat
