Balsa USA 1917 Fokker D8 build & test flight. I built this after getting sick as a test and also as therapy. I hope you like it as much as i enjoyed building it.
Thanks Jason it was a long fun build and watching as it took off down the runway and finally got airborne. It was the scariest and the nicest feeling at the time I was awestruck watching it fly. Lands and flys just like a real 1917 era plane. Heavy on the throttle at all times

Its a nice slow flyer but you need to be very careful on the landing, has a tendency to nose over on landing like the real one. I sold mine but actually thinking of buying this again or the Balsa USA DR1 tri-wing. I don't think you have to much problem with building it, I built mine after a stroke just to see if I could still build.
I did but it got corrupted and lost it. It's a shame that plane flew so well and very scale like. Even the landings were realistic with it even wanting to nose over on landing.
Hi Jim, I built this plane after my strokes and it took me about a 1.5 years. It was my therapy and made me fight to complete it. I'm glad you like it and I'm working on a few others right now that will be flying within a week or two.

The kit was $249 when I bought it off of an RC community site had over a thousand into it by the time it was done.
