Had to go look-up how I built him! I went with 5 Undead Warlock levels and 15 Glamour Bard levels. Built for Charisma synergy because, IMO, Deku is a protagonist and goody good boy. Also, VERY unwise, dude ate hair one time.
Surprisingly, I'm currently playing a character using the pairing of Astral Self and Stars Circle, went full Star theme with an Astral Elf and damn it's fun. Earth Tremor is perhaps my favourite spell to use since it's literally you punch the ground to quake around you, it's also one of the sleeper combinations for multi-classing in my opin.
Recently did a build for this character as well that I think also works, but we did have to bend the rules a little. For one, Blood Hunter. You do damage to yourself, and more damage to your enemies, which I think is very fitting. For your Blood Curse, not many are that thematically appropriate, but blood curse of binding can be a good black whip The 2 rule bends come in at 2nd level. For one, asking if you can use the Unarmed Fighting style from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything as your fighting style choice. It's not listed in the Blood Hunter class, but that class did come out before TCoE, so my DM allowed it. Basically, lets you punch for a d6 or a d8 if your hands are empty The other rule bend is allowing your Crimson Rite to work on Unarmed Strikes, rather than it requiring specifically a weapon. My DM thought this was cool, so he allowed it. For your first Crimson Rite, take the one with lightning damage, if nothing else but for the visual effect. You can eventually get a crimson rite that does thunder damage later, which i think is more appropriate Then go with the Profane Soul subclass at 3rd to grab warlock cantrips lightning lure and thunderclap, spells like Expeditious Retreat and Arms of Hadar. From there just keep grabbing spells like borrowed knowledge, shatter, hold person, fly, thunderstep, and elemental bane (to increase your thunder damage).
I love this build so much, and I can’t wait to play as a character who definitely is or isn’t Deku! Also, would you consider doing another Deku build for the 2024 rules? World Tree Barbarian seems just perfect for Deku, at least if you multiclass before level 14. Maybe into Shadow Monk or Battle Master Fighter? Then again, Elements Monk could probably do something with a couple levels into Warlock or Ranger. Either way, please keep doing what you’re doing.
Tough was actually for the second build, I still used feat for Magic Initiate to get Thorn Whip for Black Whip from the Druid Spell List. But with the new muticlass there was an additional ability score improvement, so that is possible, which I definitely considered, but instead I just used the extra 2 points for DEX
@@dndbuilds At least the last time i was watching him, i just didn't really like how he seemed really passive aggressive with his audience/comments section.
@@1manApocalypse_CP oh that's a shame, I feel like interacting with the audience is such a big part of this platform, and I've always really enjoyed it. Although I will admit I have had to build some thicker skin against a few of the hateful comments. Lol. Put the majority of them have been great and positive and just make me want to do more videos
I've had plenty of requests for asta, I just need to prepare my ears for the constant screaming from the anime when I'm doing the editing for all the clips I'll have to find lol
@@dndbuilds I don't know if I got used to it or if the actor eventually learned how to scream in speaking volume, but it's not that bad after the few first episodes
@@dndbuilds I considered that, but it's the ghouls durability that's making it tough. I also considered Celestial warlock pact of the blade to make him more durable and just flavor a whip to be the kagune
@@barilisk7114 as long as you put a decent amount into dexterity with armor of shadows you'll have an armor class of close to 18 which isn't too bad, plus the tentacle from fathomless warlock can block a portion of damage making you more durable, and there is an invocation which will allow you to cast false life on yourself at will essentially giving you some temporary hit points to constantly shield yourself, if you want to go that route

Now there are 4 Dekus.
Weird question: how did you get a sponsor from a collage?
You can also use the Tattoo of Coiling Grasp to gain Black Whip. Great video.
Oh that would be awesome!!! Those magic tattoos are hard to come by, so I almost never think of them. Thanks!!!
@@dndbuilds absolutely fair, the only reason I even brought it up is because I use it for my character specifically to emulate Black Whip.

Thanks for taking the time to make one of my favorite anime heros not just once but three times seriously thanks
I was happy to do it, I freaking love this show
Amen to that

Aside from hoping that you'll do Asta soon, I'm wondering if you might be able to do multi-builds based on the protagonists of Assassin's Creed
That might be pretty straight forward, but I definitely will at some point
@@dndbuilds Well they'd all have a lot in common, but I was thinking like comparing the leads from 2, 3, and 4 to Origins, odyssey, and valhalla

Honestly with the third build I would swap out tough for alert to cover danger sense.

Have you ever done a nastu or the full metal alchemist?
Not yet, but I plan to do both
Could you make Little Red Riding Hood for Dungeons & Dragons?
I have some ideas, but I'm curious as to what you'll come up with.
Is there a particular version of her that you would be thinking of? Because that's a story that's been told a lot of different ways
This build fits perfectly but can you do a madara build
Bugbear monk rouge multiclass 10 plus
Range that's op
You should definitely check out my Luffy from One Piece build then lol
Red Bugbear?
5th level allowing to attack Twice as a bonus action seems a bit rude.
Monks just get that as a nice little perk, attack twice as an action at 5th level, and twice as a bonus action thanks to flurry of blows
@@dndbuilds Oh so not just Twice the character?
@@zachmcmullen2741 lol I see what you did there... I forgot about the villain named Twice... Totally went over my head initially

Hey look, a channel that makes characters into D&D builds that didn't just devolve into toxicity like Tulok.
I've seen a couple of Tuloks videos, I didn't know anything about it getting toxic, maybe I'm out of the loop. What happened?

Hey, any chance you could do an All Might build?
Now that we have Deku, all we need is Asta from black clover! I have my own if you'd like to see

No we don't need garbage builds
Sweet build, I wonder if you could design Ken kaneki from Tokyo ghoul. I'm trying myself right now but failing miserably
Try checking out the Fathomless Warlock, they get a tentacle attack, and Warlock feels like it aligns pretty well with Ghoul
