- In this video I visited H&M to see what's new in store and to sift through things that are perfect for women over 50. It can be a bit tricky sometimes to decide what to wear, so even if you're not thinking of buying anything and you're just after some outfit ideas on what to wear with what you already have, I hope you'll find some inspiration from this video.

Hi Gemma, your videos are always right on point! You look great in everything but the big, oversized jeans & pants aren’t becoming on anyone. They make even skinny models look huge!

How absolutely ridiculous. They’re not big and oversized - they’re loose fit jeans - which are current at the moment. If you think they make Gemma or skinny models look huge, you clearly have no eye for fashion or the slightest idea of what is current and on trend. You’re probably still stuck in God awful skinny jeans and look completely frumpy.
I think you look great in all the jeans! I’m partial to wide leg jeans and thought you looked quite stylish. I even like the third one on you - seems to give you an edgy look which I like.
The gilet is super!
I have to admit I've lost patience with pieces that are chucked out on the hanger all crumpled up. I won't even try them on. There are so many choices out there and fortunately more than a few do take the trouble to steam their pieces (sheesh, at least on the display window models) so they look their best. I figure I'd rather spend my hard earned cash at places that respect the customer *and their own products* enough to make them look their best before going out on the shop floor. If other budget friendly brands like Uniqlo and Muji can display uncreased, tidy merch than really anyone can. If they can't be bothered then I'm out the door.

I’m still having trouble knowing what size to get to be honest. I chose things on what I think I am and generally get it wrong 😊
@@GemmawhattowearI think the loose fitting jeans look amazing on you. It’s all in how you style them. I wear both skinny or wide legs depending on my mood.

Gemma can you please make a video on downsizing wardrobe? I love clothes, shoes and accessories. But I want so bad to cut down my wardrobe, but at the same time get such a bad feeling. I want to look elegant woman on low budget. I love colors. I just don't know where or how to start.

I try to find the clothes I want in genuine leather or suede, but the colors are nearly always limited to black and some browns, which I already have. But, H&M a few years ago made some faux leather skirts in the lighter colors I prefer like ivory and sage green. I loved the ones I bought, but have since lost too much weight to wear them without alterations. I’m working on that, leather isn’t an easy material (faux or genuine) to work with. So, I hope they bring some more in this season’s colors, too, like that pretty chocolate brown. (I can’t have plastics contact my skin because of allergies, but they’re ok with a silk petticoat). I did find genuine leather mini skirts in burgundy and dark green at Whistles, but they are almost sold out now. I ordered one in my size and another a size up, all they had. They are expensive, but will last forever. Wrap London has the most gorgeous genuine suede mini skirts in khaki green and black, I bought both (one last winter, one recently)! I gave up one faux leather trousers after getting a hot flash once and being unable to bend my legs to get back in my car, they were glued onto my sweaty skin. H&M Premium usually offers a few genuine leather ones every winter, I hope to get some.

Loved everything but the third pair of jeans. I don’t like the wash on them in particular around the crotch area. The first two pair looked great on you though. 👍🏻 Looking good!
I thought pair 1 & 2 looked great on you with the added bonus of #2 making you look tall.

I’m 5’6 - 8 1/2 stone which I think is around 120lbs
Second pair look best even though I don’t like the colors of the jeans I prefer black
