I was a 15R for a decade. Loved working on them. 12th CAB all the way. Started on the 'A' model briefly, then onto the Longbow.
The Apache scene in the movie Toy Soldiers gets me every time. Silently rising out of the trees and smoking the bell tower threat! A definitive, 'It was at this time, he realized he f*cked up' moment.
Will always be my favorite attack chopper. Looks SO MEAN. Like a giant mechanical wasp.

Ive looked for info on this before with no luck.
The equipment that obtains information from the spacecraft is the airspeed and heading sensor.
It's called AADS.

Yeah, that points in the direction the aircraft is travelling in 3d space and then the pilot gets a little circle on his head mounted display (through the helmet mounted monocle) that shows where the aircraft will end up if he continues at its current velocity. It's a very cool and intuitive system... From my experience of flight sims.

So if the 30mm turret can follow the gunners sight or helmet as he turns his head does that mean he has to remain looking at his target while firing? I mean he has to remain perfectly still or risk missing correct?

So this is a setting they can use and when he sees his target he can unlock it from head tracking and manually control the tracking camera from the controls inside. It will still stay on target.

Al contrario, el 64 tiene un mayor historial operativo en un lapso de tiempo también mayor.
El 28 tuvo un alto número de bajas en Ucrania, sin embargo esto se puede atribuir a tácticas, tecnicas y procedimientos (TTPs) ineficientes por parte de la aviación rusa más que un defecto inherente de la aeronave. (Ataques sobrevolando directamente al enemigo, por ejemplo)
La doctrina estadounidense busca evitar confrontaciones aire-aire entre helicópteros, por ende los 64 del mismo país no tienen integración con Stingers, si fuese un 64 de exportación, los cuales en muchos casos si tienen integración con los ATAS, dandoles una gran ventaja.
Aun asi, cualquier variante sea, confiaria mucho más en el 64 debido a la mayor cantidad de fuentes de adquisición que este cuenta.

it literally says in the video that it is armoured to protect against up to 23mm rounds i doubt the farmer's riffle is larger than 23mm
