@Kinda batooni honestly, it makes perfect sense why Adrien keeps only seeing as a friend since she keeps throwing such mixed signals. People tend to call him blind but really... seeing how she acts I would also assume she does not like me if I were in Adrien's place.

The she comes and 90% of the things that comes out of her mouth are her denying having feelings for him or saying that they are barely even friends. And one more extra: The show doesn't show it well, but by the way his "love" manifests ... The Friend Zone is actually where his pool for potential love interests is. And from where Mari runs like it's the plague?

He's also affectionate with his friends and Marinette is clearly affectionate with her friends as well, so when she only acts weird around him, it is suspicious and disheartening (as was shown in the museum episode, for example). And when you also consider the fact that all the girls who clearly hold feelings for him act forward and open with him about their crush, the only logical conclusion would be for someone like Adrien to think that Mari does not like him. Some fans tend to forget that Adrien has just been allowed to go to school. The guy is as clueless as a puppy to normal social interactions. I think the show expresses his confusion rather well in this regard.

Considering the type os character he's supposed to have and his background. Regardless of him being socially inept or "friend hungry", even if he's madly in love with her but unaware of it. He tries too hard to get closer to a "just a friend". Sometimes, I doubt even if he would do the same for Alya or even Nino, his supposed best friend. Sadly, I can only blame it on the writing team being incompetent. And writing the scenes with their OTP in mind, instead of the actual characters.

I'll tell you why... so at my school the sports teams always have to say "hey i'm *name*" And they always try to say it in a deep voice or some crap and a couple times their voices cracked. And there was like a whole day where like half of then were cracking. I couldn't stop laughing. And rn it probably took me a half an hour to write this comment bc i'm laughing so much.
