I remember being in middle school at 13 or 14 years old and spending the morning in my living room trying to teach myself this dance by watching the video. I'd cry in frustration because I couldn't get it... my mom would come in trying to help me but I threw in the towel because it was just too hard. Fast forward to today, I have a career as a professional dancer/choreographer behind me. With my newly developed eyes and skillset I see how simple the routine is, and it's funny because I was told dancing was a talent that you either had or you didn't have. I didn't have it at all, but I worked my ass off and managed to build a respectable amount of skill. Anyway I'm probably gonna reapproach my childhood failure and teach myself this dance, so that younger Austin can put this demon to rest 🤣 this was one of the very first memories I have of attempting to dance despite the fact that I didn't take my first dance class until I was 22 years old
