- This is our first flash request post winner of the week! Congrats to healing334 for winning and THANK YOU for picking this song. I picked the rooftop concert because I wanted to see more of it and man am I jazzed or what? This is one of their upper echelon songs for me already after a few listens. It gets better and better. How do they keep getting away with this??

Mate, if you haven’t watched the Get Back documentary yet you’re going to love it! Over 9 hours of pure Beatles joy - chatting, laughing, goofing around, writing and rehearsing for the rooftop gig. It’s magical.
Absolutely agree. Magic is the best way to describe it.
When Paul gets going with those intense shouting vocals, it’s just incredible
It really is! My favorite part of the performance 😎
Been listening to this song for over 50yrs. and it never gets old.
Same here. It seems to only get better.
I sing this one real loud, and when I get to Paul’s section, my poor yellow kitty comes running because he thinks I’m dying😮
I hope I get to listen/watch to this every day for the next 50 years. I’d never not be full of energy and joy lol it should be my alarm
Imagine waking up every morning to Paul McCartney yelling “I’VE GOT A FEELING!”
@@L33Reacts - I'm 100% with you. This tune has played in my head since I first heard it in '82. My fave Beatles tune on a usual day. 'Rain' after that. Arguably Lennon's 1st psychedelic B-side. A monolith of early psychedelic philosophy with catchy guitar riffs and drones. Ringo cites 'Rain' as his favorite drumming on The Beatles record.
Paul McCartney had everything: Talent, Voice Looks, Fame and work ethic.
Yes Mrs. Galore…. I can’t use your first name but I agree. I love bonds response when he hears her name for the first time 😂
He had a pretty good band, too.
@@P.Galore it’s weird but his looks have never worked for me, he’s just way too boyish I think.
He’s still alive
Money as well
Whoever said The Beatles were not good live..does not know what they are.talking about or should remain silent... just watch this 🎉❤
Seeing people react to the Beatles has given me so much pleasure. The gift that keeps on giving.
I’m glad you enjoy, my friend! This really makes my day. The Beatles videos are always a highlight of the week for me :)
the Rooftop Concert was so much fun
They did this on a rooftop in the winter!!!!! George's rosewood Telecaster is epic. How can anyone judge them? No group of four people ever in modern history went on that epic of a journey. From the age of 21 their lives were taken over by "The Beatles". No privacy or social freedom. No walks in the park. No coffee in a cafe. No everyday activities we take for granted. Pressured to continually top what they did before. Just listen to the Stones work. Great work but not nearly the pressure to come up with something bigger. Everybody wanted a piece of them. They had to find a life of seclusion. They were actually buried and burdened by adoration. If you want the real Beatles go to their 1963 to 1966 performances.
The Beatles are unparalleled in their influence, and anyone who says they are "overrated" doesn't understand what the word means. They are the only band in history from which every member has been inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame as solo artists as well as being inducted as a group. Just one of many unmatched achievements.
@@kitharley6159 12 original UK albums, 230 songs in eight years and none of them were 30 when they disbanded. The Mozarts of their time. Legendary.
This just makes everybody smile. So good to see them doing what they love
It’s impossible not to smile while watching this :)
They are just simply the best. And that rooftop concert just proves that they could still do it live.
Keep them coming Lee.
Oh don’t worry I’m hooked. And I’m an addict so… you can put the pieces together lol
The Beatles started off pre-fame playing hundreds of gigs in the Cavern Liverpool and in HamburgGermany, they trulywere a Rock band.@L33Reacts
The smiles. The laughter. The Beatles were so much FUN. It was fun to watch and listen to them.
Oh ya, they were all about having fun.
If you get the chance, watch a clip of Paul’s Glastonbury set, 2022. He performed this as a “duet” with a video of John singing his part. It’s incredibly emotional. Paul said he enjoyed performing with his friend again after so many years.
I second this suggestion ❤
Yes.
Imagine being the people who called the cops on a free Beatles concert.
Beatles' clips are bittersweet to me. With the passing of John and George, it was the end of a unique era in history. The Beatles will never be again. Hard to let go. The youth of America so identified with the Beatles, working class kids who made it and created the most amazing music ever. Such wonderful times.
How cool it would have been to be down on the street hearing this
You hope they appreciated it!!
In the documentary The Beatles: Get Back, it was a delight to see them after the concert when they went down to the building and then listened to the recording of the concert, they themselves did not believe how good they were.
Macca absolutely crushed it. Love this song. Bass playing is top notch. Nobody can touch him.
Every time a Beatles song comes on it transports me to instant youth and happiness. No other band affects me that way.
Im a new a fan and they already transport me to some better days… instant joy, as I said in the video. Nobody does it better !
There is just something special about the rooftop concert, that makes this brief show the makes me want to watch it over and over again.
"Instant joy bro" "Paul's bass in gnarly" HAHAHAHA I agree! Great reaction young Legend.
Not only were they creative and trend setting artists but turns out they were a good little rock 'n roll band!
If you watch the documentary, all the niggles and annoyances just melted away the second they started to play live. These guys were so tight and so talented and they were at their best on stage. It was just all the other crap around them and in their lives that broke up these four great friends. There will never be another Beatles
Wonderful performance
Immaculate. It doesn’t get any better than this.
The confidence that billion people give you !!
I consider them rock ‘n’ roll but more importantly innovators of rock ‘n’ roll and the way they change the whole scene
They threw a wrench into music as a whole and never looked back. Changed the machine forever… nothing was the same, ever again!
@@L33Reacts the 1st track on their 1st album is --- Ive seen her standing there--- released in early 1963 so theu showed their colours right there.....thats as hard as you could find back then
@ L33reacts. Yes When They meant Bob Dylan and they ask him what he thought about the music and he replied your music is great but your lyrics are about nothing and that really bothered John Lennon and I think that was back in 66 but anyway after that they took rock ‘n’ roll in a whole different direction and never looked back
@@rbking9296 The Beatles are not just the greatest rock band, they transcend music. That’s what makes them generational.
I think that for a band that had such an enormous impact and so many songs, there’s not actually much visual footage, so it’s always special to see them! Those little snippets of history that mean so much.
You are speaking the truth… it makes every video all the better because you know there isn’t much visual stuff of them like this. That’s what I mean when i say this seems to be the final visual form of the Beatles
@@L33Reacts Watch the entire “Get Back” video. You’re gonna LOVE it! It’s about 9 hours long, so just take your time. 🙂

It always amazed me that they were able to play their instruments. It was JANUARY!! Their fingers must have been frozen! 😂😂😂
The Beatles were an enigma. And still are.
Welcome to the Beatles family for lovers of real music.
You mentioned that The Beatles never had a reunion after their breakup, L33, but a few months before John's tragic day in1980, the Lads had resolved virtually all their personal issues with each other, namely John and Paul, and they were in the process of planning a surprise reunion concert in Central Park for the Spring of '81, followed by them going into the studio to make new music. They knew the concert (then album) would be bigger than anything but the moon landing, but sadly, the world never experienced that long desired reunion. On Dec. 8, 1980, the news broke and it was such big news that it nearly rivaled the moon landing, so many people around the world were so deeply shocked by what happened. I wept, much longer than I wanted to weep, and sporadically for days afterward, and yet not as long as John deserved. He was one of a kind, as were the other three. ❤✌
I, like a lot of people, heard about the shooting while watching Monday Night Football.
Howard Cossell broke the news. John loved the NFL and had been in the booth before.
Just walking on Savile Row today makes me smile because of this rooftop concert.
Very few have reacted to this version of this song. Magnificent really. Everything, including the reaction. Well done.
Thank you bro. I’m glad you enjoyed. These guys are the best!!
Even during the most testy of times, they always enjoyed playing together. It shows here.
Man I fucking love this roof top gig!😍
The rooftop show was a rare moment in rock music history.
Great memories, great music.
Thanks for the Magical Mystery Tour mates 🙏
Paul in his last tour used AI to extract John's vocal here from this performance so that he could do a live version of this with him in 2024
They were so friggin close. They made each other happy. Johns wit and writing is the icing on top
Rooftop is a classic. Paul ate his Wheaties for this one. Some of his best singing.
The rooftop is my happy place. The end. 🩷🌼🩷🌼🩷🌼🩷
It’s amazing how we become Beatles crazy ..it just sneaks up on you.
Grew up with them as life's backdrop. Hooked from Day one, they were just different and for that generation in this country, they were OURS!
Yep! They're The Beatles for a reason :)
I'm glad you noticed Paul's reaction after he belted out that one part. With the way he was going at it, I believe he ran short of breath and almost blacked out as a result. Love the rooftop reactions thus far. Another gem from the rooftop performance is One After Nine-O-Nine. It was, in fact, the song that followed I've Got A Feeling.
They served a long apprenticeship in Liverpool and Hamburg. Not surprising that, given their raw talent, they created some of the very best music of the 20th century. And, how good it is to see younger people reacting to it. Keep up the good work and enjoy your time with the Beatles.
The best of the "Rooftop" is the smiles shared between the Fab Four. Still, so much love. Peace out.
All these years, and I still can't believe how great they were! I can never get enough of them.
Same here… and I’ve only been a fan for less then a year 😂😂
The joy they felt playing.
And George still wasn't 30 - what an incredible journey he had from the age of 15. And the gifts they all left us is indisputable. Truly great music is timeless and ageless. The pleasure now is seeing young music lovers like you discovering the gems for themselves. I hope you'll pass it on in your family, so their music will never die. Thank you
None of them were 30!
The Beatles are the best composers, the best vocalists, most popular, most famous, so at the end ......CLASSIC OF ALL TIMES
Definitely the Good Stuff! The Beatles were an important part of the transition from rock'n'roll to rock music, so they were both.
I think its great that you recognize greatness! They are so much fun.
When the Beatles were playing music together all their worries melted away. It was outside of making music that created the tension and led to their breaking up. Put them in a studio or on a stage together, though, and the love shines through.
They were a brilliant live band.......and the girls screamed all over it till they gave up!!!!
We missed so much.
This song together with Here Comes the Sun lift up my mood instantly when I am feeling down!
I really appreciate how Paul has taken up the mantle of doing justice to the Beatles and its absent members in his concerts. He's got a back catalog that it'd take 20 or 30 or 50 concerts to get through... yet he makes time to play something for (or about) John, something from George... it's like he's been committed to spending his last years of performances trying to heal the fans' disappointment over the acrimony of the post Beatles 70's,. He doesn't need to, but he does, because he knows it's important to us.
Also, it's like he shares his grief with the audience about John and George no longer being with us... and his appreciation of Ringo still being here and doing his thing... Paul just wants to keep healing his audience and himself as long as he's able to do so. That's special.
I appreciate that Paul does this too for us. His respect for John makes me respect Paul even more if you know what I mean. Beatles = love.
I've been on this train since December, 1963. Pure Magic. Lightning in a bottle. Glad you love them now, just like us old boys...!
The Beatles set the standard that's never been surpassed. Was great in many genre's, great vocal's and songwriting. Wonderful stuff.
"I've got a feeling" we're over as The Beatles...😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤
They also played Dig A Pony on the roof top. I LOVE that performance also.
Pure Rock and Roll.
Pure joy. Love and gratitude to BILLY PRESTON, who plays with precision, grace, and soul. The keyboards are the glue on some of these tracks, or the icing on the cake, or the special sauce. And for four guys who stopped playing concerts in 1966 (and couldn't hear themselves play after 1963) The Beatles are playing together like a four-headed beast.
The incomparable Fab Four does it again. Pure joy in everything they did. Love this so much. A great start to my day. Thanks and blessings all.
This was my first Beatles album. Got it for christmas when I was young. And something about the feel, the feel, the feel, it changed me. So, groundbreaking. I still feel the "stange" run through my body when I listen to this song.
Watch the whole rooftop concert. Fun to watch
The Beatles are my favorite group. There is no such thing as too much Beatles content!! The whole Let It Be album is great!
The Beatles and the music are great no doubt however you and your reactions and commentary are equally great that's the magic of this channel and I think your community reacts and knows this to be true as well❤😮
Glad you got it! It is Joy!!
Man, I go crazy with McCartney's singing. I had the opportunity to see Paul on his tour last year and when he sings this song I can guarantee you that it is magical to see him do a duet with John
Yeah man, they're absolutely rock! And pop. They DEFINED both! Love your reactions, you're the best :)
When I was a little kid, I bought the bootlegged cassette of the Let It Be album in South America and I remember listening to it all the time with my Dad in the car. The songs we always came back to were I’ve Got a feeling and Dig a Pony. Dad, of course, was a teenager when the Beatles were huge. A senior in high school when Let it Be came out. Dad and I never had much in common but we could always agree on The Beatles. So, my fondest memories with Dad as a kid were cruising around listening to and singing along with the Beatles’ hits. Dad loved when we would harmonize just like Paul and John. ❤️
Could you imagine hearing Paul crank out that vocal for the first time….man!
One After 909 from the rooftop is equally fantastic. So tight. Probably my favourite 'live' clip.
Ya, there is pure joy when the light is on and tape rolling... it's genuine
They started off (before fame) as a pure Rock band (1960). From 1963-1969, they were not only a great band, but were an incredible live band.
So glad you did this one. Mac’s vocal performance is 💯. And as a live fucking band…they were dangerously good 🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯
Dangerously good indeed… I love these dudes
No one wanted to go on the roof except for Ringo, so they all went on the roof!❤❤❤❤
Paul really belted it out and the coats were fabulous, joyous ❤️.
Beatles junkie….love it!!!! I have ben one since 1963 and i honestly cant think of a day that goes by without me playing at least one Beatles song…and that will continue until they lay me down in a solid oak overcoat. Welcome to my world.
I've listened to this and watched this a million times
Dude, I think Paul is killing it too!❤
FINALLY a reactor, YOU LEE, reacting to the rooftop "I'VE GOT A FEELING," where all the other reactors only react to "DON'T LET ME DOWN." NOW you KNOW how we die hard fans feel, so glad that you "get it" At least THIS 77 year old Beatle fan is! Every time I see young people "getting it", it just makes me so happy. It's fun to watch it happen and that they feel as WE did back when we "first generation fans" first heard them and saw them. It was INSTANT love!! KEEP doing reactions to the Beatles and their solo work!!
And it's a LIVE take no edits or overdubs.
Hey L33. The Beatles were the most iconic and special band for everyone of my generation but I'm very happy you have discovered them and that they make you happy. Stay on your Beatles journey, you will never be disappointed. Peace.
Great reaction Lee, cheers :)
This whole Roof top concert was AWSOME ! you should watch the whole thing.
"All these years I've been wandering around the world... wondering really how come nobody told me... all that I been looking for was somebody who looks like you!!"
One of Paul's greatest vocals. Some people see McCartney as just a love song balladeer... but he could write and sing any style.
He could sing the sweetest, softest, most tender love song or he could roar a screaming rocker as great as anyone.
Aimee Nolte made a video where she calls him "the man of a thousand voices"... and for good reason.
Paul loves that they’re playing together again. He’s so overjoyed.
George’s bright green pants😀
Thank you, healing334 and Lee!
The dischordant guitar sounds are AMAZING!
I was just about to comment that this was "pure joy" about 2 seconds before you said it!
Too funny Randy hahaha❤️
Hey! L33, you have the poster I had up when I first started listening to The Beatles (in the 80s as a teenager!) ❤
love it! you got this! peace to you!
At the end of the day, they were just a really tight Rock-N-Roll band!
The concert lineup was Get Back (a partial run through as a sound check), Get Back (first full take), Don't Let Me Down (first take), I've Got A Feeling (first take), One after 909, I Dig a Pony, [God Save the Queen improvised national anthem during camera break] I've Got A Feeling (second take) Don't Let Me Down (second take), Get Back (final take)
Beatles concert audiences were freaking crazy loud in the 60s. It literally drowned out the music. They wanted to do a live concert but without the screaming fans so we could really appreciate them live. It was their last live performance together. We are blessed.
That was great .. loved it
My favourite Beatles song!
Thats the Beatles. .John and Paul together .Amazing. The power.
Yes, they never had a reunion concert simply because their feeling was that they could not relive the past. In many ways, it reflects their attitude of their albums. Once they released an album, they were anxious to move on and do something altogether different. In fact, upon their first visit to America, they really didn't want to play their old songs (She Loves You, I Want to Hold Your Hand, etc.) because they were ready to perform newer material.
Yes! Beatles junkie! Me too. Always think of John and Paul first when the question of songwriting comes up.
❤❤❤
Growing up in the UK in the sixties was magic. The Beatles, The Who, The Stones, The Kinks, and when Motown took hold in the US it also took off in the UK and was part of the scene too, but a lot of my fondest memories were listening to a new single released by the Beatles and hearing it for the first time on a crappy little transistor radio.
