I LOVE hearing that the style will last through workouts! Very important for me and the kind of lifestyle I want to have. I need to be able to go from the gym to the office and back without worrying about my hair. This is perfect!
But your hair actually does look pretty healthy. You just have a different texture. Your hair will not look like this texture. You have to do what works for your texture of hair. Your hair dont look unhealthy to me, but then again i'm not a stylist.
+Shiny Sphinx i think she knows what her hair type is she was talking about her hair health.. naptural85's hair is pretty healthy so to mimic this look on less healthy hair even if you got 4a hair , will be much more work. Its not about hair type.
Hey Napural, I must say you are totally my hair crush and I LOVE your hair! LOL the hairstyles that you provide us with are creative and opens up a new world to hair care. I admire your tutorials and I've learned so much and became my own hair stylist for the past 4-5 years I've became completely independent and confident, I appreciate you sharing the knowledge.
I love this style! I've been missing your hair tutorials. I've been natural for three years now and if I would have never found you like i did in my first 6 months I definitely wouldn't be natural today. Like I can honestly say I wouldn't have had the strength to maintain my hair without you! Thank you so much Whitney!
I'm so glad you decided to do a tutorial on this hairstyle. When I saw it on Facebook I just loved it; and thank you so much for showing us how to do it. Thank you Whitney, have a great day!
I think I saw this style in one of your daily vlogs. I love it. I know it's a lot to keep up with your regular day to day life and make these videos for us so thank you. We appreciate you. Muah!
I do a similar style that is my "go to" style or if I fail a twist out or other style, this cleans my hair right up. You did show me a few tips that will help to neaten up my style; I appreciate that. Thank you!
This is a beautiful style and what a great tip about adding hair from the top and bottom separately behind the ear. My daughter and I both wear a similar style quite often and I will certainly try this variation soon....like tonight LOL
Whitney, I'm SO glad you did a tutorial on this style. I was dying to see how you accomplished this protective style...I love it & I'll be trying it out today! Thanks:-)
Omg the struggles I have had with semi center my side twist or braid if that make sense, I think this will help me..lol This video is Perfect and precise, just love how you find the simplest technic for a clean and simple finish to the look as always thanks for sharing Whitney 😊
I tried this cute style on my hair, and my head looked a Hot Mess! lol!! I need a little more patience (and longer hair!). I'm going to try again and tweak it for shorter hair.
Your natural hair is giving me liiiiife! Just did a big chop and thought this style is very sophisticated yet playful so very easy to go from work to a bar and still feel great! Thanks for the tutorial. I'll be doing this with kanekalon hair!
So clever! I love the twisting from the top and bottom idea. It's so much prettier. I used to wear my hair very much like this back in the 80's. Time to revisit it, I think, with your new twist ;-) on the style. Thanks!
I love this style and think it can work with my in between length /growing out tapered cut. I wasn't too successful trying a style similar to this before cause I was trying to add in too much hair as I flat twisted 😕. Now I will give it a try again!
Thanks! Now I see where I would always mess up. I messed up when you get to the hair that pasts the ear. i didn't know I had to split the top from t he bottom when adding in. Thanks. Also, I always had a problem with the part showing. Thanks again. I will try this again soon.
Omgoodness I absolutely LOVE this hair style! I work in a medical office so I'm always trying to find up dos that are not too formal, but still look like you've done something nice with your hair lol. Thanks for posting this!
Thank God you posted this tutorial. Just seen it on ig and want to do this tonight thank you. I hope it comes out nice because my hair won't be as stretched since I'm washing it before styling.
Absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to try it once my hair is longer. I transitioned for ten months and cut it last summer. Still have a little ways to go before I can try this.
This is one of my go to protective styles! And yes, it does last a long time. I only make two flat twists (one on each side) and then swoop to the side to form a bun. :)
Omg followed your video and I achieved the style!!!!! I'm so excited I tried watching and following other videos but failed doing the hairstyles. This video was easy and I got the style thank you so much!!!!!
Hey Whitney!! XOXO This style is gorgeous! Wow, your hair is really growing out from the color and looking healthier (and some of the issues you expressed). You always maintain your hair so well. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, I'm so happy you posted the video today. I've loved this style ever since you posted it on ig a few days ago. I'm definitely going to try this tonight.
I'm so glad you did this! I've been trying to get this style and it never comes out right. With these tips I should be able to get it now. Thank you so much for posting this!
Can you please do a video about singe strand knots. Since my hair is getting longer, I tend to get single strand knots frequently! Thanks and love your hair :)
So after twisting the bigger side I realized that my hair isn't long enough to wretch round to the other side. But I managed, thank you. I love the style. My hair shall be your length one day soon.
This is so gorgeous. I recently cut off all my hair (approx. 6 months ago) & I can't wait til it grows long and healthy so I can do all your amazing hairstyles.
Love it. Want to start working out again but this rain girl in London is not agreeing with my hair in a bun (noticed on wash day I'm getting this matting in the middle where the bun usually sits). Perfect hairstyle to work out in then to go to work then class n still be looking cute. Thank you for sharing x
All Hail Whitney, THE Goddess of hair! We are ever so grateful for your magical ways with hair and can only hope as to master the techniques in which you have kindly bestowed upon us. Please take this comment and a thumbs up as an offering and continue to bless our computer screens with your angelic presence ( Is saying Amen going too far?) Lol Great Vid!
I really like your videos! I'm new to natural hair and appreciate you taking time to make such great tutorials! Now, I haven't mastered flat twisting or cornrows yet, but I'll get there! Thanks again! = )
Great tute! She's not kidding, I've had a similar 'do last up to three days before I had to wash it. Her tip about alternating grabbing chunks from the top and bottom was great and new to me! I only can get two twist sections though... 'cuz only the hair on the top of my head is long enough. The sides and back are in a pixie cut.
Totally awesome tutorial! I was wondering how you achieved that style. I have been waiting for this since I saw the pic. I need a new protective style and I'm going to try this right now! Thanks Whitney! Xoxoxo
I actually did this same exact style last week ^_^ the only difference being I braided rather than flat twisted and I simply crossed the ends over each other for a 'halo braid' look because my hair isn't nearly as long as yours. Great minds.. =D Thanks again for the great videos Whitney x
NEW Video! #NaturalHair
Perfect! Just what I needed. Thanks Whitney!
Eu amei Whitney!
Estou sabendo que seu nome é Whitney hoje
***** thanks for the hairstyle Whit. You're awesome.
Super cute style!
Love it! I've got to try this.
Nice. This would look nice as a bridal hair.
I LOVE hearing that the style will last through workouts! Very important for me and the kind of lifestyle I want to have. I need to be able to go from the gym to the office and back without worrying about my hair. This is perfect!
I wish my hair was this healthy!!!!!!
Hey Woman! I love your videos
But your hair actually does look pretty healthy. You just have a different texture. Your hair will not look like this texture. You have to do what works for your texture of hair. Your hair dont look unhealthy to me, but then again i'm not a stylist.
This is 4a hair. You have 4c hair so it won't look like this at all.
+Shiny Sphinx i think she knows what her hair type is she was talking about her hair health.. naptural85's hair is pretty healthy so to mimic this look on less healthy hair even if you got 4a hair , will be much more work. Its not about hair type.
+Daphne Dee oh. I thought healthy 4c hair would look a bit different than healthy 4a hair.

You know you work any style you do. Just flawless.
The bright lighting is actually better because I can see exactly how hair is being twisted. Please keep it this way!

This is a beautiful style and what a great tip about adding hair from the top and bottom separately behind the ear. My daughter and I both wear a similar style quite often and I will certainly try this variation soon....like tonight LOL

The directions on this twist method will definitely help me better now
Very cute style. Perfect for those days when I don't feel like twisting my hair.
You always explain so well. I love you. You're the best!
I love this style and think it can work with my in between length /growing out tapered cut. I wasn't too successful trying a style similar to this before cause I was trying to add in too much hair as I flat twisted 😕. Now I will give it a try again!
I'm in LOVE with how beautiful it is while still simple to replicate !!!! Thanks girl ! Your hair stays gorgeous of course lol
It’s lovely ❤
your videos have helped so much on my natural hair journey, I have a similar length and texture and your videos are always a go to!
Thanks! Now I see where I would always mess up. I messed up when you get to the hair that pasts the ear. i didn't know I had to split the top from t he bottom when adding in. Thanks. Also, I always had a problem with the part showing. Thanks again. I will try this again soon.
I could barely concentrate because of that music. It's GREAT! As always, beautiful tutorial!
Omgoodness I absolutely LOVE this hair style! I work in a medical office so I'm always trying to find up dos that are not too formal, but still look like you've done something nice with your hair lol. Thanks for posting this!

Love this tutorial. I can't wait to try this style. Your tutorials are always the best.
I would have to add braiding hair to make the bun but it so cute and simple. I love it
Absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to try it once my hair is longer. I transitioned for ten months and cut it last summer. Still have a little ways to go before I can try this.
You Rock!!!! This was one of the best two strand flat twist tutorials evah. Thanks!
Incredibly cute! Thank you so much for yet another great tutorial!
I love this. I wear a tuck and roll with two stand twists. Looking forward to doing this style when my hair gets a bit longer. Thank you.

Very cute but simple hair style Whitney...thanks for sharing! Oh your nails and makeup looked great as well!!!
Everytime I do a side parted sleek bun, I have the urge to do a style like this, I just didn't really know exactly how I was gonna do it lol. Thanks!
This is so simple and gorgeous! I wonder if it'll work on my 9 inches of hair? I'm so excited to get that length one day.
I could only flattwist the left. Cornrowed loosely the right . Came out cute though ! Thanks!
Can you please do a video about singe strand knots. Since my hair is getting longer, I tend to get single strand knots frequently! Thanks and love your hair :)
I've had my hair in either braids or crochet for months now. This video is making me miss my hair.

Whit, I thought your initial lighting was perfect because it highlighted the beautiful texture of your hair.
I really liked it! So wanted you to add a flower or some kind of accessory lol

Love it. Want to start working out again but this rain girl in London is not agreeing with my hair in a bun (noticed on wash day I'm getting this matting in the middle where the bun usually sits).
