I was thinking it was going to be a funny video. It’s not, it’s a masterpiece of combined aesthetics. The blackout stage, that row of clean new fender amps lined up like a brigade, the suits, the pleasant bland expressions, the massive wall of guitars and the telepathic drum programming got me shaking my head in disbelief. That’s really inspiring stuff. You even captured the surf music spirit.
This has become my favorite StSanders video. At first I laughed a bit, as with all StSanders videos. But mostly I was just awestruck by how very creative this video is. The music composition is incredible and watching the Ventures "play" it is entrancing--such a cool juxtaposition. I would love to see how StSanders created this one.
I've made so many people's day by sharing this. You've made so many people's day. Been following you for what feels like 10 years now, love all that dissonant shit. The stones shreds still kills me man, and I've watched it a hundred times
Surf music at it's finest. Passing Stones got me into serious hot water with my wife. The night I discovered it I was in bed. I was listening with earbuds. I couldn't stop laughing my wife kicked me out out of our room because I was couldn't stop laughing. I went out in the living room, then the part where Mick puts his hands on his face and says "Charlie Help!". I busted out laughing hysterically. My wife hit the ceiling, I was keeping her awake. I finally went down to the garage and kept my hysterics to myself. It was quiet at the breakfast table the next day. Passing Stones is a Classic.
Why isn’t there a thrash band doing this look?!? I love that 50s/early 60s were guys strated looking like they were in their 40s by the time they were 19 yo
This legit needs to be a thing that is done on a regular basis.... You can tell by the looks on their faces that they knew this was happening in a different timeline..
Dude I have been following your stuff for longer than I can remember (probs ten years now) and I just wanted to thank you for the entertainment and comedy, you're insanely talent and you have nothing but my up most respect.
surprised they didn’t break into Seek and Destroy. as a drummer, i’m very happy with the quality of the drum treatment in the latest batch of videos. this is amazing.
Aside from the idea of The Ventures playing metal being absurd and hilarious, the composition you created is very clever! Would love a Dream Theater or Liquid Tension Experiment shreds vid, btw!
God! This is incredibly funny!!!😁😁 ... the guy who did this must be REALLY talented!!!!! What a piece of art! Must check out all the other videos from this guy! 😁
Given the proper equipment I think The Ventures could have absolutely played this in the 60s. Surf and thrash both have a lot going for them technically.
If I could go back in time to the 50s, one thing to do on my checklist would be to built effect pedals and perform some extreme metal in front of a rock'n'roll crowd or at a jazz festival.
Brought tears to my eyes. So many of us have great memories of The Ventures playing this song on American Bandstand, Ed Sullivan, Hullabaloo and Shindig. If you share these memories as well, just hit "like" for this comment.
WOW!! This is fucking Kick-ASS, brother! Great work: you really are a great player! Listen, if you, Andy Rehfeldt and Bill McClintock got together, you could easily take over the world.

"Uh... guess you guys aren't ready for that yet. But your kids are gonna love it."
BttF!!!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣✌️✌️
Exactly!
Dad dad daddy’o
It's AMAZING how perfectly executed this is!
sublime
3 years late here, but wow what a masterpiece! Phenomenal Work!
Yo. This is amazingly accurate. How you worked the parts to look so accurate. You sir are mad. Where is your music? You’re a genius!
StSanders: a poet, a genius, a madman. All toghether in the same gas mask.
Amazing. These guys were truly way ahead of their time. And sharp dressers too.
The drum sync is insane - love it 😂
It even syncs up where the source material skips during the last guitar solo - brilliant!

I was 23 when I first saw “Passing Stones” and I’m now 35 and still watch it from time to time.

Love when he looks at his mate & smiles
I will tell my children this is where rock music started
3:26 a glitch in the metal matrix
This legit needs to be a thing that is done on a regular basis.... You can tell by the looks on their faces that they knew this was happening in a different timeline..
love both the triumphant smile of pulling off those tight djents and the bead of sweat. Plus, drummer is absolute monster.
Great! I think i heard a little bit of Stone there too..
Dude I have been following your stuff for longer than I can remember (probs ten years now) and I just wanted to thank you for the entertainment and comedy, you're insanely talent and you have nothing but my up most respect.
Thank you very much!
What sorcery is this? I don’t know what is going on 😂 I’m awestruck, could not stop watching and I’m a stickler for sync in music videos! Hats off!!
surprised they didn’t break into Seek and Destroy. as a drummer, i’m very happy with the quality of the drum treatment in the latest batch of videos. this is amazing.
It actually bothers me that the world doesn't really know your brilliance. This is fucking next level sensational. Brav-fucking-o.
I am a huge fan. I am otherwise speechless because it's so good. Bravo!!!!!
Voivod influence! Love it man!!
Aside from the idea of The Ventures playing metal being absurd and hilarious, the composition you created is very clever! Would love a Dream Theater or Liquid Tension Experiment shreds vid, btw!
You mean, it's not REAL?
Who knew?
This is so cool.
Unbelievably good!!
Brother, your playing is off the charts crazy good!! Riffing Madness!!
Pure Genius as always!
God! This is incredibly funny!!!😁😁 ... the guy who did this must be REALLY talented!!!!! What a piece of art! Must check out all the other videos from this guy! 😁
This video is AWESOME!!! The audio track alone is a gem. WOW!!!!
That was incredible!
This is flipping genius. I could have sworn I heard some old Kreator in there. Brilliant 🤘
Jumalauta! That’s fantastic! From 3:00 onwards that’s sheer brilliance. Good job, Santeri!
Outstanding! 😂
The beginning reminded me of Meshuggah's I.
Ok now I want a greatest hits CD in the new format if course🤘
Top notch🕶️🥇work!
Where are you man

The tune is actually amazing!
Amazing, just glorious. Hilarity aside 0:48 sounds really badass .
This is perfect. Just found your channel (only knew the immortal shred) and its brilliant. Thank you for doing this!
I LOVE THIS
Amazing. Sounds like a mashup of many different metal bands. Loved the solo 3:09.
Dark and luminous at the same time. They had it all.
Lol that was cool, I can't even imagine what metal would be now if it would have already existed back then
One continuous tone.
If I could go back in time to the 50s, one thing to do on my checklist would be to built effect pedals and perform some extreme metal in front of a rock'n'roll crowd or at a jazz festival.
Probably not much different considering NWOBHM was in the late 70s. Probably was experimental music then.
@@guffaw1711 you would have to wait until the rise of transistors and opamps
My favorite vid yet!!!
These guys were ahead of their time. Audience didn't know what to make of them. So much sound out of that Gretch 4-piece.
Brought tears to my eyes.
So many of us have great memories of The Ventures playing this song on

This is good quality work, and soo funny!
Black and White Metal?
In it's infancy, then red and yellow came to be...
Masterpiece.
At a certain point I could hear Kiaiiii I will never go to school....
This is some Andy Rehfeldt level stuff here, fantastic
Watch Bill McClintock if you're not already. I love Andy as well. All my best to you!!
Between Saunders, Andy and Bill we have a wonderful amount of talent and progression in the whole mashup field/genre.
How have the two not collaborated
Great riffs! Each one better than the last.
Geweldig! Love it!
Mad respect to the guitar skills here!
Lol...love your videos man...spot on
1:13 Hey that's Contra!.
I can't think of anything witty to say except apart from the comedic value, it was actually an awesome song.
This made my day!
you're an artist, sir :D masterpiece!
These guys were crazy, they averaged 7 deaths per live show mainly due to the intense moshpits.
Well done brother. Well done
Incredible, really amazing 😉
Dope stuff
That was truly brilliant.
This is your masterpiece
Bravo!
I just know that thrash metal already appeared in 60's. This style reminds me to Chris Poland - Return to Metalopolis.
WOW!! This is fucking Kick-ASS, brother! Great work: you really are a great player! Listen, if you, Andy Rehfeldt and Bill McClintock got together, you could easily take over the world.
Forget Black Sabbath! The Ventures are the truuu kvlt originatooors of metal! They were at least 20 years ahead of their time!!🤟🏻😁
Whomever made this video is a genius..
You are a genius!
This reminds me of Vektor and I can't help but want a full album. Nuts solo.
Every time I see a Sanders parody I split a gut…really great stuff.
So Megadeth, especially the guitar solo
These are always so hilarious that I laugh so much that I really have to check did i piss on my pants.
The song is amazing on its own, but factoring in they had to sync it all to this old video.
holy damn!
i sub after enjoy 2 video in your crazy channel 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
man..🤘🏻🤣🤘🏻
1:16 on, definitely some Dream Theater vibes
You fucking geniuses!! Now bring me back to 1958!!! ))))
God of music !!! :D
Y E U S S ! ..... and 2:51 OMG I'm dying
Hypnotizing.
Cool
Wow they got some pretty fat overdrive out of those brownface bandmasters! Must have had them cranked way past 11.
Hilarious and brilliant.
That’s a pretty good song. 👍🏻
Have to like hearing that one audience member clap at the end in the left corner
Tää on kova 😂
Where is the music from?
the ventures wipe out live 1966
"What they would have played but were not allowed to"
Ootko itse soittanut myös rummut?
Genius, musician, philanthropist, billionaire. President of the US.
This is genius!!
I didn't realise Thrash metal was invented by The Ventures! This is incredible for that time!
This needs a Nobel peace prize
1:21 goes hard
Where can I buy this record?
iTunes, Google Music, 7 Digital, etc...
@@StSanders Edit out that glitch at 3:26 and I'd buy it. Excellent otherwise, great job.
So. They were the early Thrash Metal rockers. Deym!
WOWZA!
Случайно посмотрел на скорости 1,25 и не заметил подвоха :D
