Hey guys! I had so many request to do a tutorial on this bun! I had this bun on some of the pictures that I uploaded on instagram and there were many people that wanted a tutorial.... so here you go!! This is a type of bun that many girls & actresses in Korea like (loose, messy, natural). I noticed that in America, the tighter bun is more popular. Girls in Korea like to wear their bun loosely with a lot of volume at the top and loose at the button. Hope this video will be helpful for some of you guys! More hair tutorials coming soon!

So true! I'm from China and live in the US but I never see this particular style even on Asian girls that are not from Korea. Korean girls know best when it comes to hair/makeup/clothing hehe I find their style very flattering most of the time

These types of buns, for some reason, have always reminded me of one of the hairstyles they had in the Joseon dynasty~
Either way, the bun's super pretty! I love how casual it is and since I have a lot of baby hair near the back of my neck, I think this'll work great~

I love her videos and I have no problem whatsoever when she does all the Korean styles. In fact that is why I started watching her videos(kpop/drama fan)
But this hair style isn't exactly Korean. Actually it's the most common every day hair styles of married woman in Brown countries. They have the curl she did with iron naturally.
Well it's not a big deal of course. May be she just doesn't know and now will learn something from her viewers :) like we always learn from her.

The buns in america and korea are different. I mean here in america i find the messy bun more popular here in america. But in korea, this bun is mostly what girls wear often. And also I find it interesting that shes telling us all about these korean stuff. I mean like korea and america are so different and its nice to know all these new things.

Loose buns are really popular in Korea like top knots are in america. It's seen frequently on dramas, celebritys, street fashion, etc. This was referred to being korean style because its so commonly used by korean people.
you're right-people who aren't korean do it, but i've seen mostly koreans do this hairstyle, hence the title... and if her saying 'korean' all the time really annoys you that much, then simply tune it out or don't watch her videos~ i honestly didn't notice it until you mentioned it, but i think its great that she 'has pride in her country'! its better to be proud of your heritage/ethnicity/whatevertheproperwordis (^^;) than to be ashamed, imo ^_^

I liked the tutorial, Angel! For people debating: does it really matter where it originated? As someone said, the hairstyle has been popularized in places like Korea. This method could be called the Korean bun. So idk, unless we're going to go hunt down the origins of the ponytail with hair wrapped around to hide the elastic, dare someone attach it to a country, I think some calming down needs to happen.

It might not be practiced by ONLY Koreans, but it is MOST WIDELY KNOWN as "Korean" style to many people. Yes, maybe the style didn't originate in Korea, but the style was popularized by Korea (especially in Asian markets globally). This goes for so many mass-market products nowadays; don't even get me started on fortune cookies!
