Not to be one of those people who ask for videos, but could we get a comparison of HarmonyOS and EMUI? I would definitely be interested in seeing the difference between the two since my only experience with Huawei is my P40 pro that runs an older version of EMUI.

Also, as another factors that I may consider in a folder is the size of the inner screen....I, for one would choose the largest inner screen possible (for very reason why one would go for the folder is the big screen it appears), so i think the xiaomi mix fold 3 scores a point here over both the x5 and oneplus
It is a 7.85 inch screen... 0.18 les than the mix fold 3....

@@AverageDadOfficial to me it is....i have both the x3 and Xiaomi at the same time and make a visual comparison and while it's only a few percent difference but it matters (at least to me) if you regularly use the phone to watch sitcoms during treadmill sessions like me 😂...guess it is a personal preference....thanks Avg dad for your feedbacks!

Nope... only 2.5x zoom, no wireless charging, no IP rating.... it is great tho!
@AverageDadOfficial I think Wireless charging is a take or leave kind of thing for some, but I agree on the 2.5x zoom and ip rating. Though not deal breakers, and many I bet would choose it as its easier accessible, and global, which would put it top for some

Watching this video from the best of the beast huwawi mate 20 x, I wonted to upgrade for the huwawi mate x5, but to be honest im not gonna bay over x5 of the price what I've paid for the Huawei mate 20x back in 2081.

Honestly, I want a Huawai but with Harmony NOT EMUI. I want to break out of the google / Apple world where my data is sent to the US.
I don't care if the Chinese government see's my data, fact is the US government can do more with my data than the Chinese one

Am sorry but I can't see anyone wanting to pay nearly 2 and half grand for this phone. Not when the one plus open has just been released at over a grand less with only a few features missing ?
Hi average dad! It has been great watching your videos...and I have been using many foldables in recent years (including the xiaomi mix fold 2, huawei mate x3, xiaomi mix fold 3, etc...) and one of factors that fans should consider is whether the foldable phone one wants to buy can sync up with OS wear watches like the Galaxy watch 6 classic and/or the Ticwatch pro 5. Fyi, I am about it ditch my xiaomi for the oppo find n 3 (global rom as I will buy the Hong Kong version) as chinese rom foldables unfortunately do not support os wear 3 or above.....i was thinking of the huawei mate x5 but it is a no go for me as my guess is it won't support os wear watches too..... Is my undwrstading correct? Thanks a million!

If you are using the mix fold 3 and you are willing to unlock the bootloader.. You can install the custom Elite rom for the mix fold 3..with it you will get android auto and the wear os working. To get the rom you have to pay $8
I have the mix fold 3 with this rom and everything works just great!

The difficulty I have with installing the mobvoi health app (app for the os wear ticwatch pro 5 is that it says my GPS (Google Play Service) version is "too low" do you know whether this would solve the problem? Good video, but I think Huawei Mate X5 is the best foldable in the world at this time. People often overlook the Mate X5 because of the lack of Google support, global availability, and it's very high price tag. But pound for pound, the Mate X5 is still the best foldable in the world right now, from top to bottom.

Even I as a Samsung s23 ultra owner and fan , I admit I have massive respect for Huawei, Xiaomi, One Plus open, and Honor offer. Here in the US they actually think Apple is better than android , which is laughable. We can all agree as tech enthusiasts they are all way more innovative than Apple . The reason I like Samsung is Samsung has wireless powershare and charging, water resistance, s pen gestures and utilization when my fingers get tired and for photos from a distance , Samsung Members, Samsung health , Samsung flow , Dex , Samsung TV , wireless projection , etc
Those are all the things that I love about Samsung as well. But those are pretty much things we should be able to get from Huawei if they hadn't been banned. As of now Huawei is the only brand I've used that has the potential to take me away from Samsung. I just keep hoping that they get unbanned. Because as much as I love Samsung and the ecosystem that comes with them, and I have a lot of Samsung products, Huawei just wins in the hardware department for me.
@joshuabergeman354 exactly but here in the US unfortunately Huawei isn't an option so I have to stay with Samsung but if Samsung doesn't do the redesign with the z fold 6 ultra foldable they are in trouble because of what Huawei, Xiaomi, One Plus Open etc are offering
@@morm2173 I'm typing this on my OnePlus Open and imo you're right, Samsung is in trouble in the folding market if they don't do something different with the Zfold 6. They need to work on the crease and a wider outer screen and better camera hardware. If they do that my next foldable will be Samsung because as much as I love the OnePlus Open OnePlus just doesn't have everything I want the way that Samsung does. And it's not just the software, although I am a huge fan of OneUI, but everything else. As of now Huawei is the only one I've had experience with that can provide everything Samsung does and do it with hardware that is just amazing. But unfortunately living in the US unless the ban gets lifted I have to stay with Samsung.

Its ok i think the oppo and huawei/honor are 2 leading companies, both have real innovations every year. But i would prefer oppo find because they done incredible job with the crease, screen and speakers. Also love the design more. I don't care about throwing my phone on stones or drowning it in the water. I'm not stupid do so this.

But i love more design, crease, screen, sound and miltitasking from oppo.
I have oppo find x2 and it's incredible. I'll switch it to the n3 flip in the best future.
I'm sorry but you're wrong only in one way. Google services will never function the same on these devices. My favorite device that I still own is the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G. 7.2" display
The US destroyed their functionality to work properly here and also kill off any updates.
I'm 52 and I've been part of the Xda community making custom roms etc and I know my phones and their functionality.
I own the OnePlus Open now and I'm happy with the hardware, but the software needs sooo much work, so many bugs and lack of features. Even the glass or plastic that covers the camera modules pull in so much sun glare it's a joke.
If the Huawei didn't get this ban, sure I'd be all over it.
I may actually go for the global version of the V2, the Chinese model even with Google services pushed doesn't function the same and all that China bloat
I love Samsung and I have pretty much everything except the household appliances. I have the TV 4 pairs of ear buds a tablet and a chromebook as well as a Galaxy watch 5 pro. So yeah I'm pretty deep in the Samsung ecosystem and I like it here fine. But if Huawei hadn't been banned I would absolutely be running a Huawei system. I might not totally replace Samsung with Huawei but I would definitely be buying a lot of Huawei products because as of now they are the only brand that has everything Samsung has and more. I tried Apple and for me they're just boring. So right now I've used the Huawei P40 pro and the Huawei watch gt3. I want the Mate X3 the way a baby wants a bottle but on Amazon it starts at $2,000 and works its way up to a bit over $3,000 and that's too much with too many compromises for me to be able to justify
