Thank you for this!!! Unfortunately, not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now. 9 years later, fully debt-free and over $100,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now I'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $40,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling!
The school systems are designed by our government, to make you an employee. Not financially literate. Sad but true. We had to do our own research on the subject, as Robert Kiyosaki is such a big proponent one
I'm not so good at understanding finance. I've got 56k in my savings and a mortgage. I'm positive that I can pay off quickly once I get this job I've applied for. But, I don't like this house due to neighbors and the construction. Moving out isn't an option because homes are $2M in the same neighborhood. I feel stuck. The 401k and IRAs aren't helping much either. I started saving just 3 years ago.
My brother said, "working that dead end job & they're never gonna pay you enough so you can buy a house next to them" Best facts I've heard all week bruh💯👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿.
