it's actually funny how easy it is to get S rank in this game. Even if you alert and kill everyone in the mission area, you still got a big chance to get S rank if you did that quickly. Replaying this masterpiece 4 years since my first playthrough, trying some really crazy strats right now and already got 15 S ranks almost without stealth lol(except for phantom limbs and 1 other mission I can't remember). This is one of the best sandbox games I've ever played
I'm working on getting all my missions up to S rank. I think I've got a 80% S rank rating at this point. When you get all S rank you get a unique look so I'll finish getting all S and get that look one of these days.
i loved it when i first played the game, i accidently blew up the targets in the previous mission so, it was like "oh boss, you already uhh completed it. Mission complete!"
One Landing, or Strike Support varies on how you Play, Counter Strategy won't let you do it! Often, Land close then Mark the closest Dish, and order Bombardment for B score then request pickup, good for GMP too.
They’ve patched this out apparently. If you do the mission again too soon after you’ve already done it there’s a unique dialogue with miller saying that the coms are already down. Ocelot is surprised, tells you “uhh… good job boss.” And the mission is over in about 15 seconds. You gain all the point bonuses of the time and being undetected, but you gain only the mission completion gmp and no respect. Did it yesterday after a 6 year break and laughed my ass off 😂
You can just run up to the base and shoot the comms radio in the building through the window with a silent sniper and GTFO Or even climb in and water pistol it EZPZ And the total stealth one too.

Easiest way to pull this off..
Tip toe into the control room, leave c4 on the communications table, leave the area and kaboom perfect stealth.
There's also a mission with D-Walkers in Africa, and you can complete it in the same way.
How do you make the chopper land there? I can only land 700m from there.

Fairly sure you just flick the movement stick in that direction while *not* aiming from the gunner position.
In Pequod you can't, because you cant sit on pilot. You can swap position in helicopter.
