NF's "When I grow up" is a great song talking about his mindset growing up, and wanting to be a rapper. But if you want to really react to him, I'd start at the beginning of the Journey, with Intro 1. You not only get to see his progression as an artist, but learn his story, which forms the way he thinks, and how he approaches songs. He also makes a lot of audio and visual references to his early works. So the best way to react is in order.
This is one of my favorite songs I drive my boyfriend crazy with! And Search!
NF also doesn't curse, so the mouthful of hand soap bar is even better
Based on this reaction, I STRONGLY recommend you consider going on the “NF Journey”. I think you’d enjoy it and really become a fan, he’s a dope artist.
This is for anyone new who may want to take the NF journey as we call it because he intertwines his music like marvel movies.
All four albums is like a connected series. For instance in his when i grow up song, paid my dues, leave me alone, and why song, the black smile is the fake smile that he mentions in therapy session song.
He hides eggs in his videos. In when i grow up song there was two hidden eggs in that song. A black balloon by the trash cans and in burger joint he grabbed at receipt that had the date and time of when his song time was being released. He had outcast name tag on in the janitor part from his Outcast song. Another example is in the search song he had cage in background he rapped in from his outcast song.

That is a song you have to prepare someone for. It will be one of the most emotional songs you’ve ever heard. Known to make most people cry I know I do every time but it’s apart of his journey. I hope you go on this journey bc I really like your reaction!

Great reaction! You have 2 directions you can go. You can listen to all the material on the “Clouds the mix tape” album, which is just a place holder until the next album gets released, or (what I recommend) go back to the beginning and hear his story through his albums, and catch all of the connections. Clouds and Lost stand on their own, though the videos add a lot to them. But in my opinion Story is SOO much more impactful with the video for the first play through. Hopefully you're able to work it out! Loving every reaction I've seen from you!
