Korg coming into 2024 like a 600 pound Gorilla!!
a much needed update- my old one kept shutting off because the micro-usb became loose as time went on. usb-c is much better. also, I always wanted more octaves in this synth. thank you Korg!
Seems like this year will be a Korgful year. First Gadget going AUv3, now instruments dropping here and there.. loving it!
WOW!!! The only question is when can i buy it???? The previous NTS-1 is a GREAT Synth!!! Big Thanks to Korg for making cool sounding synths affordable!!!
You can preorder it but I don’t know when they’re shipping.

Excellent review!
Aw, nice to see Matthew aka EZBot helming the demo 👏🏻 ace choice, Korg.
Beautiful little machine
Nice update to the original! I wonder if Minilogue XD and Prologue will get these digital engine updates? Ideally I think Prologue needs a mk2 version, with a better multivoltage PSU, motion sequencer, more modulation and a keybed with poly-AT (or at least AT)..
Looks great! I love my NTS-1 but like many, my USB post has started to fail. Glad to see the port has been upgraded as well as the addition of a Power Button. Great work Korg
Oh no... I didn't realize that the usb port has issues on the og. If you could do it differently, would you just leave the connector in?
Awesome!!!❤❤💯💯
Kinda daft how excited I am for this, but the Mk1 has become a creative partner I can’t be without, just love ‘em!
I have the nts-3 and this on preorder. Very cool.
Came for the NTS. Stayed for the EZBOT.
Ive got tweeek's J8 osc on my NTS-1 MK1, so there is plenty of sequencing for me. Honestly I'm holding out til I can afford an Electribe Sample 2. 16 steps of sequencing should be a minimum. 64 would be better, but with 16 or 32 I have enough time to change patterns on 3 different machines inside of an 8 count.
All that said, great work! I hope you continue to produce more of these compact, affordable synths.
8 steps is miniscule, but still useful for auditioning other parameters, and being able to instantly transpose instead of latch transpose let's you play something other than just those 8 steps over and over again
Oh wow I want it right now
Korg is on fire the last few weeks
You remind me of a young Chris Parnell of Saturday Night Live. It’s a compliment.
New Mk 2 is $169. MK1 use to be $99
although there are some updates on MK2, I am not sure about $70 price jump on MK2.
I wish they added preset saving on this one.
sounds massive
Has there been any update to the singal to noise ratio? Love the NTS-1, but its a bit hissy.
but do we have midi implementation for the user oscilator parameters?
Are we getting midi cc for oscillator params? Can we save patches in hardware?
go ez!
Korg should produce a eurorack module with just effects which are great in this synth. And sq-1 in eurorack format, people mostly use this sequencer with modular synths, this is the strangest decision to me, why they didn't make it in eurorack format. It can still be produced in a desktop form, but should allow to mount in a eurorack after unscrewing it from case.
Is there an NTS-3 demo too already?😮
I bought it - when will these lovelies ship, KORG? 🙏🏻
✨🎹✨
What kind of keyboard is that 3 minutes into the video?
omx-27. Great little kit!
@@thanajon Thanks!
I hope Korg has finally implemented MIDI CCs in the MK2 for controlling the custom parameters (Osc+Type) and values (B) of user oscillators. This was a major drawback in the MK1.
According to Looppop, it isn't changed.
That makes user oscillators almost unusable in my setup. I just don't understand what's preventing them from implementing this basic control. Really sad.
LFG!!!
and saving presets?!
Loving all the cool stuff Korg's coming out for NAMM this year and great overview of the new instruments! For those who have the original NTS-1 but are missing that new noise oscilator, I built a more basic free/donation based one you can use here:
th-cam.com/video/9R3mLR4aC5o/w-d-xo.html
It's on Korg's official logue sdk unit index too so you know it meets their standards! Enjoy and can't wait to see what people come up with using these new NTS's!
Wheres the damn kaoss pad demo?
Does this mean we are going to have an Epilogue or Minilogue XD mk2 soon?
Epilogue would be nuts.
more pleased with this one than the kingkorg neo. so is the new SDK the same as NTS-1 (prologue, xd) or drumlogue - as the two are not compatible?
This is the main question!
can the volca fm2 midi control the nts-1 mk2?
will there be a meaningful editor for fm2?
Where is the Electribe refresh?
I just have two questions..
How much?
And when can i get one
$170 USD and not sure when but it's Korg, so if there is a demo, it's a reality already. It can't be long.
good job Korg, maybe the price could go down to 130€
Korg i hope you haven't forgotten the new Electribe!
Electribe 2 is already 10 years old!
What about Monotribe?😮
Hopefully the software works better because the old one was REALLY shitty. The drivers didn't work properly most of the time.
That's just Korg in general. I love Korg, but their drivers and software... OOF
The biggest flaw of the Korg NTS-1 was the weak soldering and mass complaints of broken connectors, including my NTS-1 that has been repaired on three different connectors and now hotglued shut.
You would think they fixed it. But no, according to testers it is exactly the same.
So, that means Korg purposely made a device that doesn't last, and is considered a disposable product.
With the information, the prices are too steep for a disposable product that is proned to breaking.
Though I find the idea behind the NTS-1 and its functionality great as ever, I am very dissapointed in the QC department.
I would def buy the new version in a heartbeat if they fixed the weak soldering.
It's not normal to buy a device that needs to be hotglued before use to prevent breaking of connectors, which voids warranty.
I got it in 2020. The only problem I've encountered is the screws and the aluminum corners catching them. I wish Korg would reply to my emails about needing parts.
Avoid buying *anything* at launch if possible, all tech, all software. Give them time to tweak the product after returns, repairs, and at least a bugfix software update.
I agree that in most cases, electronic devices are built to not last beyond the next version. Some (ie: cellphones) have been found to have a doomsday clock that causes malfunctions after a certain date. This is true of many phones.
It's just like US health care and war. Causing problems so you'll pay to fix them. Businesses sadly wouldn't exist without that model. Late stage capitalism. 🤷🏼♂️
I'll stick to my 2 OG NTS-1's. This just isnt offering anything that I dont have already. I sequence it through a 64 step sequencer and have the Sinevibes FX so this isnt really for me right now.
Still no internal battery? 👎🏻
Wow 👌 G.A S Alert 😂
The price Korg wtf u doing ?
Still no built in battery cmon
That would increase price and size
@@StopWars420 by $5
not by much, people have done their own battery mods on the mk1 for like £10 if that @@StopWars420
usb hubs and battery banks exist...
Unfortunately still the awkward 80s display .....
