Mahathi Veenapaani

This is the second song of the Ramayana series, first one being Taapasi bilajudu uploaded an year ago. This song is composed in Sriranjani raagam and is set to Aadi taalam.
In this particular song, the most important sequence of Sri Rama Jananam is described by Lord Brahma's Manasa Putra- Maharshi Narada on his veena called Mahathi to other sages. This song shows the deepest desire of King Dasaratha of Surya vamsha to procreate and have descendents for which he performs the Putra kameshthi yagna. The god of Fire blesses the king and his wives with a sweet (paayasam) which helped them have Lord Rama and his brothers.
