Hey guys! During this time of staying at home due to Corona Virus we are running some extra missions on the Spud's Buds Discord server to help keep everyone entertained and involved!
This was the best mission we have ever flown on the Spud's Buds server and the most fun Mission I have ever participated in! It was a very successful helicopter borne assault on Greater and Lesser Tunb islands in the straight of Hormuz!

Personally, I would have used a load out with APKWS for the boats and AGM-65 for destroyers.
But hey, everything got destroyed either way ✌🏻

Cymro1970 the SAM’s were they were meant to represent a Davamand class destroyer which is a WW2 destroyer still in service with the Iranians

Hmu if you want to fly with a viggen/harrier pilot in your wing. My rb 15s would have made quick work of this.
What a shame Harrier can't carry Harpoon even in BOL mode :'(

I want to see at least 1 video where gamers speak real fast and in terse tones like real aviators...lol. NOT. I like being able to understand the conversation and teamwork. Great flying, BTW.
For a foreigner it’s not so easy always to hear the radio communication. I’m trying to learn the basics in DCS. Could you make a video with subtitles maybe?
Thomas Heggem potentially that would just involve hours and hours of work to transcribe everything said in the videos

Believe it, Spent plenty of IRL time at Al Minhad, varied between 58 degrees C in summer to requiring boards to keep you out of the puddles during intense rain!.

Spud stop over boosting the engine on takeoff. Use less throttle or use takeoff water.

Noticed he only rotated nozzles to 50d. Isn't 65d standard on an sto?
FYI, your STO procedure is totally wrong. You are supposed to have nozzles at 0-10, and you don't rotate the nozzles to the STOP lever until after you reach the NRAS (nozzle rotate air speed), which would have been calculated for you on the VREST -> STO page. You can also hit the VSTOL button and then enter the NRAS into the UFC and press ENT. That will box the speed on your HUD when you reach NRAS so you know when to the throw the nozzles down to the stop. You'll find that you are able to take off in a much shorter distance than what you've been doing.
Destroyer with disabled weapon system???how convenient, IRL this harrier will get smoked with AA missiles it can't even get close to shot his mavericks
Had a Sunday Mission with a stationary destroyer but fully armed randomly spawn last weekend anchored just off the coast of an airbase. Took a three ship about half a dozen anti ship missile waves to finally kill it and it shot down at least four strike aircraft in the area and shut down a huge section of coast from attacks.
For the sake of fun I certainly don't mind liberties because in a plane without anti ship capabilities that really, really dragged.
