Turns out real men can enjoy romance too 💪🏼 haha Yay awesome review! I commend you for being one of the very few booktubers who reads outside their usual genre and taste, and does so with an open mind. Your analysis was really interesting and I thought the points you made were very fair. I agree with what you said. I probably don’t mind melodrama personally but I can see what you mean that it’s there. Two key questions: will you watch the film and will you read the sequel? Being honest, I don’t think you’re missing much from the sequel if you’re reading it from a research perspective. There’s nothing in the second style wise that isn’t in the first. Thanks again!
Let's hope my boys don't unsubscribe 😉 I'm glad I read it to get a look at what a true romance novel is versus what I expect it to be. Sure there were things that didn't surprise me but some that did. I'm definitely going to watch the movie. I'm not sure about the sequel since you mentioned it was an afterthought so might not have the same punch. Though I'm willing to be convinced.
@@JasonFuhrman boys huh? Bye... LMAO JK. I personally do not like romance novels with the exception of Gone with the Wind but kudos to you giving it a shot. 😂
@@JasonFuhrman Haha, on the contrary- they’ll all be ordering their copies, which will look beautiful on their bookshelves nestled between Blood Meridian and the Darkness that comes before 😅 Yeah I’d say unless you’re dying to know what happens it’s fine to skip the second book. Movie worth a watch - curious to hear what you make of it and if you would have made the same choices if you had adapted it.
Go on, tell me your naked truth...
Mine is I loved this book and the movie and I’m not ashamed. So not sure if that counts as one but there you go haha.
You never cease to surprise me Jason.
Surprise
@@JasonFuhrman So when's The Drop review coming out? Lol.
@@someokiedude9549 hopefully soon. I have to get a couple more out first. I'm behind as usual
13:59 I misheard "Minecraft" and it thought for a second you want to change careers.

If you want a darker, more literary romance with better prose and more character depth check out Endless Love by Scott Spencer.
@@sethrakes1991 thanks! I'll check it out
But is it as good as The Notebook tho? ;P
Challenge accepted
If only The Notebook had a 🐄💩 scene
