Is it possible that Cayde was the unamed second father of the Abram's family? His feelings toward Sunderesh were one sided and Micha Abram's only ran into Cayde-1 after he went "Missing". Not to mention the fact that Micha was a young boy still grappling with their Gender Identity at the time. If so, Cayde remembering Micha as his "Son" whom was nicknamed Ace and wouldn't be a contradiction of the Lore Provided. The fact remains that even pre-guardian Exo Cayde had difficulty remembering what Ace looked like and the name of his one sided love, Sunderesh. Zavala should have asked if he had seen his family in the afterlife
Theres already an in-game exchange between Zavalla and Cayde where the latter states that the afterlife, so to speak, that he experienced was more like all of the guardians and ghosts returning to the Traveler and living in peace. However Zavalla responds saying something along the lines of how thats not an afterlife hes interested in nor is it worth being a part of if he cant see his late wife Safiyah and son Hakim there.
He explained what happened after he died, he was pulled back pretty much instantly from his perspective but was years for us. He couldn't havw told him that if he wanted.

1 question that I have after this lore is if the darkness inherit to exos is linked to Cayde talking about having flashes from before being a guardian, to my knowledge no one else has talked about having these flashes, becoming a guardian is a 2nd life to most, a life detached from the first, but maybe the link exos have to the darkness (Clovis using the darkness to make exos) and darkness being the energy of memories and realm of the mind means that exos have some residual memories from before becoming guardians, that darkness that was used to create them holds on to some bits and pieces from before they get brought back also Micah answered a question I've had for awhile, which is if exo guardians could grab a backup of their memories after getting brought back as a guardian, answer is yes as we know now, I just wonder how many exos have decided to do that, probably not many
Really only anyone with the intent to travel to Europa and search the facilities. Though I can imagine it wasn't an Ideal since most exos were either very rich, or they were experiments and weapons.
And is there anything in the lore that explains why exos have bodies that perfectly replicate flesh and muscle but their heads aren’t even close? I mean I know the real reason would be to save on creating seperate bodies for Exos but I always wondered if they explained it in lore.
You know what's a crazy thought what if "Maya Sundaresh" is "Sundance" Caydes Ghost. It makes sense because they both have sun in their names. That would mean Caydes wife was always right by his side till the end but it's a nice theory.
I mean if he was writing to Ace before he met Micah that means they gotta be real right? Unless as a human he was lonely and made the story up in the first place so when he couldn’t remember things as an Exo he could have something to believe in?
Thing is, ace could have many possibilities. Maybe it's a younger brother, or a cousin. Maybe a really close friend, the only person he had in life. I agree with his take, that it wasn't about whether they are truly real or not in the end, but that they felt real to him and that's all he needed to keep himself going.
I can digitize brainwaves, upload your consciousness... I can change memory, your past isn't real, or is as real as you remember it... I can manipulate your sight...
Honestly i think he just mixes them both up. We do not know at what point in time human cayd left his son ace. Maybe he was around the same age as Micah. So we gotta assume if there even are memory flickers of his human life left, they are but a fraction of the memory flashes he has ofa family. So in the end I think they turned into the same as some sort of coping with the lost memory.
Stuff like this is why I started to lose interest in Destiny. They take pretty solid stories from Destiny 1, and then flip them all around for.... reasons? Bungie just can't resist injecting tidbits of social politics into everything lately. On one hand it's not really problematic on a conceptual level, but on the other hand when it show up so many times it gets immersion breaking as it goes from just being lore to ripping you out of lore to make you go "here we go again." There's a couple things they do that get annoying. Social politics is one of them. Everything being 'paracausal' is another. And possibly the worst one is everyone referring to everyone as 'old friend' which is like THE laziest, most generic character exposition past amnesiac protagonist.
IDC what ppl say Cayde shouldnt had died in TFS. He still had so much potential from his own past life, to working as Maya Sundaresh's personal Bodyguard or even being a mentor to Crow
Got a stupid question, are exo still being produced to date?. I mean how if an exo gardian dies, how is his mechanical body come back to life?. Thoughts that the ghost could only revive flesh body. Am puzzled
Well a key thing is that Exos are also part vex tech, and while the vex aren't a traditional sense of the word "species", their radiolaria is very much organic. I do believe in some way they developed Exos to effectively transfer the essence of a human fully over to the machine, thus a Ghost can easily see a person inside of these deactivated bots.
Cayde being Maya Sundaresh's body guard couldnt have been thrown in there for no reason could it. Far too important to just throw that in. Micah-10 got me wanting to know more.
To my knowledge I don't believe ghosts are re-incarnated humans. I would like to rather think that Sundance was just a new "face" that could be close to Cayde by being his ghost.

@@nils254 So Micah was born a female and remain female as an exo. Since the lore on the gun states Female of the subject, which is the biological gender and would be accurately stated for scientific reasons. If not then it would be inaccurate and Clovis Bray hated inaccurate data.

@@mshaman86 what are you talking about beyond light It said that you have to be put into a near exact EXO otherwise it would have that EXO mind deterioration. where they freaked out and started destroying themselves. Like the one that had a second pair of arms the mind couldn’t comprehend or handle the irregularity and it started to freak out and destroy itself by ripping the extra arms off. The reason why I said near exact is because it can be not completely exact due to one of the EXO complaining that Elsie Bray had one that was more suited to her original body. So Micah-10 having a completely different body from the original gender, they had is a total Redcon of the EXO mind deterioration. If they really were going to forsake this part of the lore they shouldn’t have put it in the lore in the first place.

Many of the lore tabs for weapons and armor from that particular season, along with its associated lore books "Achilles Weaves a Cocoon" and "Beneath the Endless Night" elaborate on this :)
@@seraph8 geez huge thanks to you! i would never know!! when i played this season i was just rushing through things cause my work was horrible didn’t even notice this lmao
@@DragaoDeJasmin Of course! I understand how easy it is to get lost and fall behind on the lore when real life gets in the way... so much of it is fantastic, and I'm glad I could point you in the right direction :)
Riven was Cayde in this DLC, calling it now.
Ace was maryas kid
My headcanon was always that his life as his Halo Character, or the Destiny Equivalent, was the family he had before.
What if we were ace somehow (I'm sure there is lore i'm not thinking of that would prevent this, just a thing that crossed my mind)
How tf would we be his son or wife.
@@KodexKat no idea, just thought it would be interesting to see how they would have done it. I don't actually think we are lol
Bungie just can't resist injecting tidbits of social politics into everything lately. On one hand it's not really problematic on a conceptual level, but on the other hand when it show up so many times it gets immersion breaking as it goes from just being lore to ripping you out of lore to make you go "here we go again."
There's a couple things they do that get annoying.
He literally chose this as his final purpose it was his choice not ours
Hoe do exo guardians remembwr their names and how many resets they had?
Wahat if Maya Sundaresh is Sundance in disguise? 🤔
To my knowledge I don't believe ghosts are re-incarnated humans. I would like to rather think that Sundance was just a new "face" that could be close to Cayde by being his ghost.
This lore is a bit of a shit show to be honest but I will follow you until we'd discovered the real in this story
Ahh yes his son. Best kept secret in the sol verse
Isn't ace the chiken?
That’s the colonel
Whats great about being an EXO in game is I get to make up my head canon were I believe my EXO hunter knew Cayde 1 through 6. :)
Parasocial about a fictional character is a new one..
@@KodexKat if thats the worst type of fanfiction you've seen, stay innocent 🤣
I wish cayde got made when we crushed the hive wizards ghost. It's one thing to hear about it, but to see it... Missed emotional weight
What are the odds that a child being told he has two fathers and no mother would grow up confused about his own identity? Cause and effect.
I like the idea that cayed raised micah as his illegitimate child
How is there only 7 comments in 25 mins
Wait u said mica is transgender wtf
I love micha-10
Surprising they didn’t make him gay. Because everyone is gay in Destiny.
Genuinely don’t know if there is any straight relationships in this game anymore
@@HUMADUCKeris and drifter? zavala and his wife? crow and amanda?
Pushing the unnecessary nonsense woke agenda in the game because they’re desperate for that good esg score, just like disney and netflix.
Pretty sad tbh. But thats how it goes with these big companies.
@@Ninja_Proyep😢 we know that he is not but the dads probably groomed him to be "trans" which no human is.
Just like a cat being a vegan. We know its the owners
I can legit only think of saint and osiris, tf are you on about?
I dont thnink weve seen the last of Cayde honestly
I hope your right, i hate the fact they teased us with him coming back ,FINALLY, and then take him away again.... -_-
L take
Can micah be micah-10?
Wasn't that obvious?
That's literally it. Micah Abram transitioned, and when Clovis exofied her, he kept trying to put her in a male chassis but she would succumb to DER and die. Micah-8 was the first female Exo Micah.
Hello
You sure Bungie might have retconed it and made him gay like saint and Osiris out of the blue
That never sat right with me, they don't feel like lovers at all from the dialogue before and since the retcon happened.
@@Xemphas we learned about this back in the season we saved saint???? What???
Bruh 💀 Cayde literally talking about how he loves Maya Sunderesh stfu 💀
Shit is awful. Futurama did it first as sex bots lol.
I wouldn't have minded if pre-revelation they weren't being written as brotherly. Put a creepy twist on everything romantic after. That's what happens when you let deranged shippers expand your lore.
God Micah's so damn cringey. Alphabet shit aint needed in videogames
You're not needed in video games
Straight stuff isn't either but its included and can be nicely implemented
I like how only bigots are mad about Micah but nobody super into the lore has complained and liked her, funny that
The story for Cayde went from great to crap in just a few short years. Wonder why? (We know why.)
Poor Micha, getting shoved into dysmorphoric foreign body. Kinda messed up
What lmao? The Embraced Identity sniper rifle literally describes Micah as *female* prior to becoming an exo, so she has a female body.
@@nils254 So Micah was born a female and remain female as an exo. Since the lore on the gun states Female of the subject, which is the biological gender and would be accurately stated for scientific reasons. If not then it would be inaccurate and Clovis Bray hated inaccurate data.
@@caseydew6882this is my only problem with Micah being trans, like there is no way Clovis would let that slide, the dude is a fucking menace
@@caseydew6882 Micah was a trans woman who got a proper body for herself
@@odessawild7798 I don't think so, the lore says Female. That's not interchangeable. You are either Male or Female, that can't be changed.
Lgbt everywhere
interesting, not a fan of the whole woke shit personally but interesting nonetheless
All this alphabet people projection into a video game is immersion breaking and unnecessary, could care less for cringe trans exo tbh
right
If you don't care, why do you complain? Have you ever thought about just ignoring it? And how it it immersion breaking? Putting real concepts into a video game can hardly make it less immersive.
@@SmileyXY what do you care if one complains on a product they’ve paid for? Can’t handle a different opinion on something that’s made up in real life also?
@@Specter_TF141 It's just a lore tid bit. It in no way affects the main story. Till now you wouldn't have known that Micah is a queer exo. So I don't understand how they are projecting in any sense.
@@Specter_TF141 Bro you act like the opinion is " I hate minorities are in my game" is RESPECTABLE
Micah being a gun makes sense if they identify as the opposite sex lol
Huh?
I get it, funny haha
What? He cant be a gun😮
Exo’s can have kids?
He wasn’t always an exo.
@@KodexKat yea, after I watched the video, I got that. Even though they may not be real.
I’m seriously done with all these stupid red cons that bungie keeps pulling in the lore. I swear this is the last expansion I play. I love destiny for its gameplay, but I love the Lord when it’s very accurate and they have been very sloppy with their consistency.
This isn't a retcon. This was all explained in forsaken.
@thewolfofdoyle Nope nothing has been "redcon" you just misunderstood what was said.
@@FierceDeityBaryon how am I misunderstanding what is literally said in the lore?
@@TheWolfOfDoyleHEY GUESS WHAT, THE CPRRECT BODY FOR HER TO IDENTIFY WITH WAS A FEMALE ONE

What if, micah-10 is caydes son.... 🤔🤔🤔... If you listen to message cayde left for us on the radio, he says " i need a reason, or a purpose" ... What if Micah-10 becomes the reason ?.... 👀 ( I demand cayde to come back !! Dx)
First
I think it is a long stretch to make a way to shoe horn a political agenda into the game
What is political about inclusivity? Many types of people exist. Why shouldn't their stories be included in a game whose philosophy is all about complexity and diversity?
Can they just not make any new characters not straight without you freaks immediately jumping up and down whining ? Doesnt even MATTER if its well written to you people now
i'm coming home "ACE" 🥲
What are those missions where Micah and Cayde interacted??
The missions you get from Micah where you have to go find the lost ghosts
