It was such a weird choice to have this beta return with a Ubisoft original song instead of having another beta return with the actual song instead… The only good thing about this is that Sweet Dreams can get a better dance if they ever get the rights to it
The problem is that Sweet Dreams is, most likely, a very difficult song to license. It was featured in Trolls Band Together last year but their version never had an official soundtrack release. I do think they could've avoided all of this by leaving the map scrapped altogether, because it really doesn't add anything to the main lore. It's just Leda doing some prancing and angsting, there are no big revelations or anything. It's just a very boring map overall-and I've always found Sweet Dreams a boring song to begin with, so there's not much else to add there.
@@biabarreto1434in this case you are partially right if we use the final version of Night Swan as base. However if you see the initial plans for her you would realize this map and this song would be very important for her lore. Her real name was supposed to be Leda Nox (a clear reference to the Sweet Dreams singer), even if it is still used on social media for some reason, and this song, that was supposedly to be released on jd 2022, would probably be the first teaser of the lore jd team was alr working on since the jd 2022 era. This song would be very important for the jd lore if they didn't changed the initial plans for some reason.
@@Sakiro64to base off what the map presents it seems like it was meant to appear before “Jack Rose’s” map which is why the beginning of that map and the ending of this map is so similar, but it was nice to see they were able to somehow just turn it into something completely different when they released Darkest Hour & Murder on the dance floor
they couldnt really abandon this map because it expanded and was needed for the lore, it was a very stupid decision to start working on this map before getting the rights to the song because of this. i understand abandoning songs that didn't getting the rights, but for such an important lore related map, it would have made more since to wait until they could get to rights the the song for the map, since they cant really abandon the map like they could for less important maps if they don't end up getting the rights. so they needed to make a ubisoft original to release this map, rather than trying to get the rights for a past beta (which mind you can take a while to secure) its faster and allows for the game to come out by the end of the year if they just made a origonal.

Born to be Sweet Dreams, forced to be Darkest Hour
Best description ever.

I was with you until you said Sweet Dreams was a boring song, and then I got irrationally angry.
Jk, great points all around @@biabarreto1434

I was wondering when having coaches lipsync was gonna bite them in the ass and here it is folx.
Help me with the comparisons pls these are what I can find:
0:00 Beta #1 has a different font of sweet dreams while at the same time the background is more clear than the other betas and final version
0:01 The fact that both beta 1 and 2 had time stamps which meant that it was not finished yet and they redone it
0:15 beta #1 only has the smoke white instead of black
0:26 Beta #1 have lighting in the background delayed
0:35 The head in Beta #1 is smaller than others
0:55 Beta #1 only has the replica of the coach their top of her outfit shown and which is also clear than others
1:01 Beta #1 only has the "machine" on (although very subtle)
1:05 both Beta 1 and 2 has the adobe logo accidentally shown (I'm not sure that it's just to hide a beta to avoid getting in trouble orginally)
1:17 The couch head is shown in beta 1
1:27 This same thing happened for 0:55
1:35 No white smoke shown in the background in beta 1
1:48 No smoke shown in Beta #1 at all
2:03 The coach's head is "talking" to her in beta #1 which she is just singing the song
2:24 This same thing happened again for 0:55
2:43 The couch in beta #1 looks clear than others
2:49 Ignore the fact Ubisoft (or this leaker himself which is something to protect himself) left in an adobe watermark in beta #1 and #2
2:55 The coach for beta #1 looks clear than others
3:01 Beta #1 part of the "Chorus ad lib" is completely different than others
3:33 The eye difference in each other betas and it's final
3:36 Betas #1 and #2 are placeholders clearly and Beta #3 coach's eyes are green instead of yellow in the final
3:48 The scene in beta #1 is left in compared to others
Also, I know yall are going to say, I know the coach's name: "Night swan", so don't call me an idiot that I "forgot" the coach's name
The first beta is so funny, idk why LOL
