Thank you for post this. I have two paintings to work on that involve a cat as part of the scene and have been trying to figure out how I wanted to approach the fur of a shorter haired cat.
i was totally captured by this in depth tutorial! I have been trying to find a full detailed tutorial like this for some time , wow and AMEN! Thank you! beautiful!!
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. You have helped me understand the fine detail work needed to create realistic features. I will try to apply your steps to my own work which I know will be better, thanks to you! Blessings, Sandra
Thanks back to you! The blue one is an inexpensive #6 round by Creative Mark. The brown handle is one of my favorites - a #6 Billy Showell fine point brush. You can find it here: www.billyshowell.com/brushes Best wishes to you!
@@RebeccaRhodesWatercolorArtist Thanks Rebecca! I was going to inquire about your brushes as well! I have lots of brushes, but those look better than anything I have & I thought I was being pretty picky! Thanks for the link! I'm going there straight away & check them out!

We're sorry, but the page you were looking for doesn't exist.
I love this painting! Being on watercolor canvas how do you protect it?
Kendra, I spray Krylon Acrylic sealer - it smells for a while, but does a great job of protecting it.
Super fantastic!!!!!
Thank you Carol!
I love it !!!
Thank you Pat!
Great tutorial, I will use the several layering techniques on a few otters..silly me, I though I could do the otters in two or three passes. Thanks.
Hey Dan, it's great to hear from you! It's incredible how many layers it takes to get the depth you want.
Could you tell where you got the reference picture? thx
