The guitarist and vocalist harmonizing is Dominic Frost. Very talented I’ve known him since he was a teenager.
This song was my besties ANTHEM when she had stage 3 colon cancer and we found out (while she was in the hospital, post-opt) that her husband of 25 years was cheating on her. It was such a sad song and she would cry years ago, but now we go out and play this at the bar or even karaoke to it and it’s a totally different vibe now. We ROCK out to this song and make it clear that it’s no longer a sad song for her, it’s a positive song!
I lost my mother last year. I discovered the song "thought you should know". If you want to feel a song, this would be the one.

Morgan and Hardy are buddies I have noticed, morgan is making waves in country music, does he do some poppy sounding stuff yes but his voice is soooo unique and his songs are so well done! I highly recommend the entire dangerous sessions double album it’s eclectic in sound

Great reaction!! Dominic Frost is in Morgan's band; is the guitarist who also provides the main harmony. The other guitarist's name is Tyler. Mo' and Dominic have done many acoustic sessions available on TH-cam going back as far as 2016; some of them live in clips such as "Taste of Country", etc. He and Dominic have even begun doing some alternate-stage, three song sets at some of his concerts acoustically and alone. Morgan and Dominic at one point began informally back stage playing and singing the Jason Isbell song Cover Me Up, and it was their and others' affinity for their sessions of that song that lead to an official cover and release of that track, which is not a single, yet triple platinum so far.
This Wasted... track debuted #1 on Hot Country Songs Chart on chart date 1/23/2021 simultaneous with the Dangerous album debut, which also debuted #1 as a country album, and also #1 for all genre albums on that same date. Mo' is the only artist ever to debut a #1 track on the country chart and an album #1 on the chart simultaneously. Also, this track is one of only six in history to debut 1 on the country chart and also top 10 Hot 100. This one was 1 and 9, respectively. Of those six tracks in chart history - 1958, Wallen has four: this one, 7 Summers, Don't Think Jesus, and You Proof. This track recently made #1 on country radio for three straight weeks, and has been #1 on Hot Country Songs for 8 weeks non consecutive. Also, his label sent it to impact pop radio July 12, so it's possible that it could get back in the Hot 100 top ten, which would be the first time in over a year and a half. It did reach up to 11 a couple weeks ago.
I read and learn all things Wallen and spread the word in lieu of the industry and music media not promoting he and his Team's achievements or even publishing it for listener consumption in hopes that this subversion, and even censorship will control his popularity. He is not the only country singer that is downtrodden by the media. Basically, it's any white guy with rural and/or Southern roots who has not signed on to the woke crowd in Hollywood. This last paragraph is of course opinion driven; the rest are facts via music data I've noted and tracked by watching the charts each week.

I never really liked a raspy voice but his is different and his twang is not put on. He is pretty authentic and genuine. He is very humble and thankful. He's hilarious and overall a good human and good soul.

Ok so yeah I am not usually a big fan of anyone completely because I will like a few songs here and there from other artists but I would never buy an album.
Morgan I will buy every album because of him and also he does a lot of writing himself but the other people who write for him are just as equally impressive and they all are a complete package.
I also love George Strait and most of his top songs are written by Dean Dillon. George sings Dean Dillons life lol.
I don't who writes for Keith Urban or if he writes himself but I do love his singing.
Jason Aldean also has a great voice and songs and I haven't looked into who writes for him either or if he writes.

Agree wholeheartedly. He’s worked so hard for what he’s accomplished with the wolves at the door trying to silence him. But as in the lyrics of Don’t Think Jesus, he’s shown humility and not ‘thrown those stones’ back at his critics. He may not be perfect, but who among us is? He’s a class act in my opinion and deserves the good things that have and are coming his way. ♥️♥️

Morgan Wallen is chill. He's gone through some stuff and made it out so it's hard to not root for the guy. I enjoy his music. Another artist I like right now is Luke Combs. He did a cool song with Upchurch called Outlaw. LC was scared to get canceled and distanced himself from it because the video has a confederate flag but aside from that its still a cool, country video. Reminds me a lot of growing up in a small town.

You’re right about the Taste of Country Risers acoustic performance of Cover Me Up. It’s just Morgan with his band mate Dominic Frost also on acoustic and harmony. Their harmony is sick - my favorite version of Morgan’s Cover Me Up. And if you weren’t aware, Morgan co-wrote this (Wasted on You) along with so many other great songs in his ever increasing body of work. He’s just getting better. I also MUST disagree that he’s too good for country music! He may definitely be TOO good - he’s great but he IS the soul of country. Love anything he does. ♥️🎶🎶

Morgan’s best song is one that three of his friends wrote about his life called “Don’t Think Jesus”. Definitely his best. Sand In My Boots, Quittin Time, and Livin the Dream are also very good deep songs by him.

He is in fact using wire brushes in this song. The wire brushes arent pushed out all of the way, making them more stiff, therefore making more of a stick sound.
