Great question at the end by interviewer.
Why isn’t gampo tashi and chushi gangdruk history taught in Tibetan schools???
Westerners have wrote many books on chushi gangdruk and gave importance to it. Even CIA (USA) knew how important it was and also was supported by Taiwan 🇹🇼 after cia ties were cut.
Tibetans should be taught about chushi gangdruk instead of condemning it !

34:09 what she said, I heard the same from my husband whose paternal side is from Datsedo. His grandfather was killed by Chinese long before his father moved to Lhasa. Chinese killed his grandfather on account that he was a spice of imperial China. All lie I think.

Yes, unfortunately, sometimes our interpreters were not able to translate everything accurately. But the purpose of the interpreter was to provide a brief, summary interpretation in order to allow the interview to proceed; it was not his/her job to do a precise, full translation between English and Tibetan. We have added a note to all our videos explaining that the written transcripts are the most accurate English translation for the interviews because these are based word-for-word on the statements of the interviewee and not the interpreter.
