I remember sitting in my freshwater ecology lectures at UCT in 2006/7 and ecologists at the uni then were already fighting with the city to get this work done. It's amazing to see that it's finally happening, just sad that it's taken so damn long.
Great initiative. Grew up in Obzie. Catching 'guppies' and tadpoles in the L'beek is an integral part of my early youth.

The river was not canalised in 1926????
