I had the honor to record this video and listen to his voice live. He was an incredible singer who unfortunately lost his fight against cancer. RIP my friend, it´s a shame there´s no other recording of this song.
This is my 2nd comment because I am so disappointed with OTHER singers, and THIS one is exceptional. How can a voice and musicianship be so unknown and lacking promotion? His voice sound is natural, well focused, wide ranged, and with warm golden tones. His interpretation is genuine. He MUST recorded this with a good orchestra accompaniment and release if for us. PLEASE!
He passed away in 2018, I have a better recording of a previous event of that same song that was recorded with an actual camera instead of a cellphone but it's on dvd and I have no idea how to grab that part and upload it to TH-cam
Bravisimo! Beautiful voice with warm, natural-sounding tone, excellent interpretation (the ONLY one to correctly use crescendo on the repeated 2-note pattern), remarkable high notes. Bad news: I missed seeing this video for 3 1/2 years, and I heard so many bad recordings with wrong voices ! Yours should be re-recorded in a concert hall with orechesta, and I want the recording! I shall listen to this many times.

Since I first listened to this performance, I have continued to listen to others on TH-cam. Several of them are professional singers who have full orchestral accompaniments and professional recording conditions. They are not nearly so good as this one, both with voice and with interpretation. THIS performer deserves a professionally recorded CD or video, and I would love to have a copy, and I would like somehow to be notified if and when such a recording is made available.
jejeje, todos dicen "hasta que alguien sabe cantar en Xalapa" jejeje, pues si, "sabe cantar en Xalapa" pero no "cantar de Xalapa" ya que este chavo talentoso no es de Xalapa, es de la Ciudad de Tuxpan, Ver. siendo uno de los orgullos a nivel nacional, iniciando sus estudios de Bel canto en la Academia "Juventino Rosas" de su misma ciudad de origen, saludos
