Just sharing notes. Sorry for any mistakes:
7 barriers to duas being anwered
1- Lack of kushoo or focus in duas. Understand what you are saying and asking.
2- Lack of conviction that Allah will answer your dua. Never say in shaa Allah when asking Allah. Be firm in your dua
3- Earning and Eating haraam. Haraam source of income.
4- Being impatient for dua to be answered.
5- Wondering why dua is not answered, which leads to doubt.
6- Making duas with ill intentions or hatred toward something or someone.
7- Asking for impossible or inappropriate things.

I am not desperate in my duas yet 😂, but I am anxious about them marrying the right men. Please make duas for them to have not only Muslim husbands, but men who are among the most righteous who will help them in their deen.

Can you discuss the different types of oppressors please?
I made dua for someone day and night. At the time of tahajjud, at the time of rain, while travelling, during adan, after every obligatory prayers, immediately after waking up at night, did istighfar, did lots of tasbih(including the important ones) etc. But my dua was not accepted. Now l don't believe in dua anymore. What is the point of making so much dua and end up not getting it. This makes me believe there's nothing much powerful than destiny. No matter how much dua we make, whatever is written in our destiny will eventually happen.

Assalam walaykum va rahmatulah wa barakato Sheikh, i have a question regarding today's daily reminder. I have a restaurant that serves pork for breakfast and we serve Mimosa. I also donate money that I make from the restaurant to orphanages and my community in Afghanistan who lost their husband's. Are my prayers accepted and are my donations halal? Do I need to sale my restaurant that provides for my family in order to have halal income to donate and feed my family? Will my prayers be answered?

serving Alcohol and Mimosa is forbidden in Islam based on Quran and Sunnah, you havea good heart to donate, but donations has to be from Halal sources to be accepted by Allah...
What Should You Do?
It’s clear that you have a good heart and want to do what’s best for your family and community. Here are some steps you can take:
Transition to Halal Income: Consider transitioning your restaurant to serve only halal food and beverages. Remove pork and alcohol from the menu and replace them with halal alternatives. This way, you can continue to provide for your family while ensuring your income is halal.
I take an oath by Allah, you will find more blessings to come, even if the profit is not the same in the begining. just take a correct step dear brother, and don't continue in this way.
Seek Forgiveness and Repent: If you’ve been earning haram income, sincerely repent to Allah (SWT) and make a firm intention to change your situation. Allah is the Most Merciful and loves those who turn back to Him in repentance.
Continue Helping Others: Once your income becomes halal, your donations and charity will be even more blessed and accepted by Allah. Your efforts to help orphans and your community are truly praiseworthy, and with halal income, they will carry even greater reward.
7 reasons why our duas aren't granted
1. Ghaflah - lack of khushu ( focus)
2. Lack of sincerity - lack of yakeen - know that Allah SWT will grant our duas - don't use the term "if you wish" be firm with your dua
3. Consumption of haram - sources of income is haram - make tawbah and stop any form of sins
4. Al maksiah - all forms of sins - repent and stop all forms of sins
5. Al istijal - in a hurry for one's dua to be granted - trust the taqdir of Allah SWT.
6. Dua that has evil element - to harm others or severe the ties of kinship
7. Asking Allah SWT for inappropriate things - don't ask for things that contravene with the laws of nature
Allahuma inni asaluka Firdaus al a'la minnal jannah bil ghairi hisab Allahuma sali alla Muhammad aameen Ya Allah 🤲🤲🤲
