- In this weeks episode we look at the episode trendy Bixie haircut today we are cutting a soft version of this particular haircut. I particularly like the Bixie haircut it has been a staple favourite of mine for many years and I am very pleased to see it is currently trending it is a great shape for all age groups.
It is a playful haircut for your more mature clients and it can be a more extreme version for younger clients are real winner or round.

Love watching another hairdresser work. Although I'm 28 yrs into this industry, there is always something new to learn. Watching other stylists work is a great way to pick up neat tricks. Thanks so much! Continued success James. 🙂
Wonderful! Glad you enjoyed the tutorial thank you very much for your comment all the best
Excellent! Much prefer these full length videos over the short ones. Thank you again! Always great! 👍
Exellent! Love this for my thinner hair clients.Ty James! 🙏❤
You’re very welcome glad you like it
I love your videos, they are full of information without being too long. Thanks for sharing your knowledge:)

really nice, quick , simple and practicable for the clients at home also. Love the new Studio
Thank you Anja glad you like it
Thanks for sharing J, as always great education. I love ❤️ it that every other educator on YT got their own version of how to cut that reinvented 90’s layered Bob into the new BIXIE cut! I enjoy your YT clips ever Time.
I love this haircut! ❤ had something similar to it years ago and could never get it replicated again. Now that I know what it's called. I can ask for it to my stylist.
Sally is a good sport letting you use her as a model. She looks great with the new cut. Although the natural colour looks good I think a clear gloss might give it a bit more life?
Fantastic hair cut, defo something I going to try in the salon
Wicked Dee 🤟🏻
@@TheLifeOfHair I let you how I get on with the cut 👍🏼 also I am super excited for salon international this year!! I went last year wasn’t that many companies there but I did meet mark Hayes and signed my Vidal Sassoon book 🙌🏼

Thank you very much yes I think so too
Thank you once again for clearing up the bixie for me…. ( I was an accountant in the 90’s) Bob and pixie look… many ways to do it as I’ve also watched others do it differently. I love to add oomph to the hair also ( I use that word all the time).
You’re very welcome yes it’s a cracking little haircut. Definitely add suits ooomph
Nice to see a wearable trend
Hello James ! Nice technique ! Thank you for the video !
Hello Christos thank you very much Shah, you’re very welcome

@@TheLifeOfHair 11 months later.... watched it again!! LOVE THIS BIXIE!!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!! So good.
You’re welcome Victor
She has the same texture as I do. What is the name of the product you sprayed on her hair?
I am growing my hair out, too. Lots of white or silver in my hair. Freeing to not have to color.
I love her cut and her natural color. What a bonus for easy styling. I would be thrilled not to use the round brush.
You created a great style. Love it.
I gave similar cut to my mum. She has round face so I geve her more layers and height. It is the best look for ladies who do not style their hair every day. She has very thin hair too, so they dry out very very quickly anyway
Yes precisely Vanessa that is exactly what this is a good for people who do not want to do and enormous amount of hair
Stunning and nice work!
Thank you Candace 🙏🏻
If the client didn't want a fringe, how would you do the layers then for it to be like a bixie?
L would have been nice to see the Final Cut on Sally without her mask on
Thank you for the video. It is amazing like usual.
You’re welcome Amal thanks
Very very beautiful 🙏
I really like it a lot 🙇👏💋😍💕
I have thick wavy hair and have always done a variation of this, but it's so hard to do on oneself! I've tried to explain it to stylists but so many cannot work with 'Viking' hair. They all end up getting a panicky look and then handfuls of product as the hair dries and shrinks up. I hate cutting it myself but going to a salon is such a disaster. The last one went in and cut chunks out close to the scalp to try to get it to lie flat (he said like Meg Ryan). Well, you can imagine how that went as it grew out :(
Great video. This guy is very good! 🙏🏼😊❤️
thanks!!
You’re very welcome
Lovely job thank you!
OMG do I need a bixie?
All I can hear is Jon Richardson!
I'm a Cutting Spec Ret. I really like your work. I know you're well grounded technically and historically. I really love and respect that. But the consumer-driven naming for haircutting nowadays sets my teeth on edge. I get it about our need for being relevant, but Lobs and Bixies, etc. Awful. Used to be we with the knowledge defined things for the consumer. Now, it's flipped. We've abdicated and no one's the better for it from my point of view. Saw it begin in the days when no one could cut Sorbie's Wedge haircut and any bowl cut or other graduated shape became "The Wedge." "Just wedge it," etc. I know I'm pedantic about it, but Sassoons were my heroes decades before I became a hairdresser. And the legacy is nearly entirely forgotten by consumers with no understanding or appreciation for the history.

I shared it. THANK YOU SO MUCH ---be happy ❤. #1 view provider Promo_SM!!
Peccato la mascherina
I love your hair videos but must you wear those ridiculous masks since they don't actually work???
I feel like I'm in a never ending sci-fi movie :-(
this is not a bixie
