This gasser madness has grown from a pair of cars match racing several years ago.... to the Southeast Gassers club of today. They now have a whole gasser show, with 3 classes and over 50 cars! A lot of us old folks remember the 50s and 60s and hoped for a group that would recreate those days - the Southeast Gassers do that! WillyB

Excellent video! This is pure drag racing! I was 10 years old in 1967 and can appreciate what you're showing...also I learned a lot from your video too! Great job!
I watched Quain Stott destroy that transmission and then take it out the car hit it with hammers and mess around with it and in under a hour it was fixed and he was out racing again.

Live in S.C. now, but I used to go w/ my dad to Dragway 42 when I was a kid and watch him run his '66 GTO 389 tri-power/4sp. w/ a straight axle. THANKS for the flashback !!
Dragway 42 is about 4 miles from my house I can hear the cars every weekend. I grew up going there on the weekends before the 20 million dollar rebuild.
Awesome ! I grew up in Ohio and Raced in D/Gas at Dragway 42 It looks so different now than then? where did all the trees go? looks like a great idea to see the gassers again. I came back to Ohio for a visit in 2015 and attended the gasser show at Norwalk motor park. may the Gasser gods be with you on the new show.
