but It was stolen.
I put it into trunk of Honda scooter, and some stole the scooter !!!

Cool collection. I used to have one that is super thin, barely thicker than the thickness of the tape, with a stainless steel look. I always feel like from an innovation standpoint, Aiwa was the more risk-taking company.

@@OLDBUTGOOD The one from Back to the Future is a Silver first version non-IC North American HS-P02 MKII, because the second version with IC models came out right after Back to the Future filming was completed. You can easily tell a second version with with the screws on the cassette door as well as slightly different headphone jack port. You can get a clean silver one for under $1000 but they are often second version Japanese or European models and the one from being sold from Japan tends to be the least expensive. North American silver models are fairly hard to find.

I just bought an AIWA HS PL303 from ebay yesterday,sadly without the extra battery compartment....Any tips what i need to do in order to restore it?
Without external battery case you can't use it portable you have to make one by hand, I have no other advice in general old Aiwa models after 1996 without external adapter can't work because receargeable dedicated batteries are no longer manufactured. Link video

Which model do you want?
Who can look at my nice F07? I replaced Belt and adjusted speed. Cleaned the 2 leaf switches. But now play won't engage. FF or RR won't move the gear lever. It was working. I don't want to disassemble the gears. No experience on this model.
Aiwa class F07 are very weak on the electronic side and cannot be serviced 100% correctly and give errors even if you are a very good restorer, so try again but with 30-min tapes or 15 min. when you test the functions, the best advice is to borrow from a collector or buy an identical one and watch again how a functional one moves. I don't have a video with the repairs of this model.
@@OLDBUTGOOD Thanks for the reply. I didn't want to mess with the gear base. Way to many springs, and I have no experience inside this walkman. So, it plays and sounds nice. The motor is just always running when in stop. Thanks for your replies back.

Double check the leaf switch position. I freaked out when my HS-P02 MKII stop working while I re soldering the headphone jack, I inadvertently put the the leaf switch out of position because the board is not properly secured in the middle. Just slowly and carefully pull the board out a bit and use a stick or tweeze to gently push the leaf switch back into position then release the board.

@@OLDBUTGOOD Your Aiwa is more likely need a new belt (they are very easy to replace) rarely needs capacitors or any mechanical work.
@@diegosilang4823 Yes, the first problem is capacitors and the original belts are much more resistant than today's clones.
