A tear down actually shows they paid attention to the flaws of the old design. Functionality wise, Transient handling has been improved. Hope they will find a way to add cooling fan cos it will drastically improve the lifespan.
Bro you have really been a light to us the users. I watch u everyday. Especially weekends I watch u morning till night digesting.. want to say thank you🙏. U have really inspired my knowledge towards inverter system… pls is felicity inverters durable 🙏
I like your video. I'm a solar engineer just gave you sub and a like, hope to some day inform and educate people like this and continuously increase my knowledge in the field
i just installed one yesterday, a challenge i noticed on this new design is the installation process.. the screw is hidden behind the system which is a little bit challenging to mount it
Place on the wall then mark the hole with a pen marker, bring down the device and then drill. Put Fisher peg in the hole and then put a screw in it. Finally handg the controller.
Great!💯💯 but please can the settings be done with/through the modbus? Instead of having to make use of the buttons to set the parameters. Or is the modbus just for monitoring the system?
When you get an error 04 at peak sunlight of the day, what could be wrong and what can be done… It keeps flashing red and the amps and watts turns 0 at intervals. Please I await your response. Thanks
I have a question Sir, please do you know the function of that RJ45 port on the device? Is there a way to read the stats on this controller remotely? I am in dire need of this information! would appreciate any help or walk-around!
The display looks very basic for a charge controller and I wonder if it comes with the ability to detect the type of battery connected and if it has default charging settings for different battery types. Does it come with a modbus module for remote connection and monitoring, or will a user have to search for and purchase that separately?
Yeah I agree the display is quite basic, it doesn't detect the battery type only detects voltage of the battery. It has default charge settings for batteries. It has a modbus
I prefer New one because it regulate the high voltage because it happens to me I thought the controller has damaged but it worked correctly with out damage after resetting the panel
I did an installation two days ago with the new charge controller but the issue is that in the inverter is used for only Night. So whenever the charger controller charges the battery fully charged, instead of it to stop charging it will be showing the fault light and tryna charge again but still show the fault light when it senses the battery fully charge. Pls is that how’s programmed
In all the new one is technologically more advanced than the old one. However, cooling cannot be as efficient as in the old one because plastic is a poorer loser of heat through radiation than metal.

Yeah I agree with you fan cooling will prolong the lifespan. Thanks for sharing your thoughts

The fact that your videos are uploaded in 4k’s are one of the beautiful things I hate watching lower resolution because my tvs are 8k 🙏
There is a VoC change on the 80A new design. It's now 145V as against 195V of the previous design
Thank you so much for this Useful information

Does this charge controller work with Felicity solar batteries? Communication , wake up cable?
Great!💯💯 but please can the settings be done with/through the modbus? Instead of having to make use of the buttons to set the parameters. Or is the modbus just for monitoring the system?
Just for system monitoring
Plz do for choice inverter 24 volt
I am encountering an issue setting up the wifi of the above device (Felicity charge controller 45A (SCCM4525-II) to my phone or laptop.
Need help
I love your videos
I notice the display light goes off at night 😢making it difficult to know my battery percentage
Yeah. However, you should be able to see your battery level through the inverter.
How do 1 setup the modbus on this felicity charge controller. I will like to set it up on my system.
Tell me what you think about the new Felicity design
Yes it's pv powered
When you get an error 04 at peak sunlight of the day, what could be wrong and what can be done… It keeps flashing red and the amps and watts turns 0 at intervals.

Error 04 means high battery voltage. You might need to have your batteries checked.

Is the MaxGE a Felicity product too? Where can I get them to buy? I live in Abuja
Great video, pls what is the amp of this new charge controller?
120 Amps

Bro nice video...i noticed something about D new felicity controller D LCD blinks towards evening nd also morning...which is a bit scary
@@lewisdipo it is PV powered so whenever the PV light is low it blinks, nothing to worry about it is perfectly normal.
the new one looks better but the old on looks stronger, but then i will go for the new one because of the additional feature..
Good choice
What a top notch review.
Not an advert o lol just reviewing the product

@@jamesjoseph3264 okay that's good to know
Hi, I need a 100A 195V PV
Great video
Thank you

Set the appropriate charge voltage for the installed battery
Please is this new design still PV powered?
Yes it is. There is no display in the absence of sunlight.
Good one
Thank you
I still prefer the old model design, but the new model upgrade is better
Yeah there are a few improvements but what do you miss about the old one
Educative 👍
Thanks for watching Sir

ok
i like the old
The old design looks better
Why do you think so
Too much talk and repetitions
