Great video and photos. It is an awesome camera for sure. I recently purchased a Canon 5D Classic and 40mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.8 STM lenses and can’t wait to spend some time getting to know how to use it to its optimum potential. From the few photos I have taken it gives me the same feeling as my Fuji XT-1 with XF 35mm 1.4. There is something special with these lower megapixel cameras especially when paired with a great lens.
Just got a 2nd one... I make B/W photos and I love it... I have more modern cameras, but.... I made my personal profile in monochrome, raising a little contrast and sharpness, as I hate editing photos. Great video and great shots.
I don't really know myself either. I liked the 50mm 1.8 when i had the 5D last time but of course that wouldn't make sense since you already have the 40mm. I was considering possibly getting a 100mm or 105mm macro that would be used for other stuff too
@@too_many_cameras I was thinking about a 50mm 1.8, but like you said, the 40mm pretty much covers that range. The 85mm f/1.8 is a little pricey, but I definitely can't afford something like the 24-70 f/2.8 L. I've got an 18-135mm USM Nano on my 7D, the 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 USM might be a good choice, it's got a great range, it just doesn't have that really wide aperture.
I bought a EF 35-135 f3.5-4.5 yesterday. This one was 50€ so very affordable. Image quality should be decent at least according to the very few reviews i found online. I should get it by thursday. I'll make a review of it one day
I like that you show us how you set up your camera. It's very helpful, especially for a 5D classic owner like myself.

I always wanted to have a classic 5d, in Brazil it is very rare to find it for sale. Great video!
Good photos, you have a good eye, keep shooting.
Gorgeous pictures 🙏🏻
Canon 5D Classic is a camera to be felt instead of being seen or checked. It's a pure photographer's camera. Not meant for tech lovers.
It has all the needed features and nothing more. Love it
Nice work
I have the 40mm, do you have a recommendation for a second lens?

Get the 135mm F2 if you can. You won't be dissapointed.
@@lucasliaskos A cheaper alternative is the 135 f/2.8 Soft Focus.
