Kinds of badal
As a substitute for mubdal minhu which serves to clarify and eliminate multiple interpretations, there are several kinds of badal, namely:
• Badal Muthabiq (مُطَابِق) or Kul Min Kul ( ل كل) is a badal that has a level of similarity and equality with mubdal minhu
• Badal Ba'du Min Kul ( كل ) is a badal which is the main part of the structure owned by mubdal minhu, either only half a small part, large or even equal
In general, in badal ba'du minkul there must be a binding dhamir that matches the mubdal minhu based on the type of mudzakar, muannats and the number of individuals (mufrad, mutsanna and plural as in the three examples above. However, it is also permissible not to include dhamir if it is considered safe from misunderstanding and if it fulfills one of the following three conditions:
- If badl ba'du minkul consists of isim ma'rifat with alif lam ta'rif
- If badal ba'du min kul becomes badl from mubdal minhu who is in the Mustastna Minhu position in the Ististna taam manfi arrangement
- If after badal ba'du min kul there are lafadz (words) that are still part of the mubdal minhu
• Badal Isytimal ( ل الاشتمال ) is badal that is not a major part of the structure of the mubdal minhu but is something contained in the mubdal minhu.
In this special badal, there are the same provisions as the Badal Ba'du Min Kul .
• Badal Mubaayanah (مباينة), namely there are 3 :
• Badal ghlath, which is the function of correcting mubdal minhu's mistakes and those mistakes are made unintentionally
• Badal idrob, which is the function of correcting mubdal minhu errors and those mistakes are made intentionally
• Badal nisyan, which serves to rectify the intent of mubdal minhu due to forgetting
In addition to the types of badals above, there are also other types, namely Badal Kul Min Ba'di (بدل الكل البعض) which is a substitute for the whole of the part.
