I just followed your steps bud added a wicking system. I am going to follow you all the way from Sri Lanka
Wicking system. Very interesting. Please let me know how it’s working. Might be something I should add to my system.
do you have a video of creating the ebb and flow system?
th-cam.com/video/tuknZEsXB1U/w-d-xo.html this is the video on how I made the tub that I use for all my ebb and flow projects
I probably missed it but how do you water/feed in the ebb and flow? I'm also in Florida and want to try strawberries but isn't waiting until fall better? Can they take the heat?
Oops, I hit the wrong key. Great question. I feed with a similar water soluble fertilizer. 8-12-32 along with a blend of Epson salt and calcium nitrate 15.5-0-0. Watch my video on how I blend master blend solution and substitute the master blend with the strawberry fertilizer.
I failed to mention in the video that Reese were a June berry. They should be fine. I fertilize them every time I water them. What ever liquids are not used, go back into the holding tank below the tub. Watch the video on how to make the tub.
I will do a short today showing the capture of the solution back to the tank and show the other strawberries growing from last year.
@@TomGolaszewski73 So with ebb and flow you just dump the solution in? I would have thought some more gentle spray or watering from the bottom.
@@mikehebert7936 I jut pour the fertilizer mix in and around the plant and let it drain back to the bucket that I took it from. Remember, the coco coir stays more on the damp side. Water less until it gets warmer here.

I am 100% going to start following you. I love the holes in the pvc pipe I never thought of that; I am gonna see if I can get a 12$ pump and make that work for me; I appreciate your content!
Thanks so much. Have a great hydroponic garden!
