Toxicology is a discipline, overlapping with biology, chemistry, pharmacology, and medicine, that involves the study of the adverse effects of chemical substances on living organisms, and the practice of diagnosing and treating exposures to toxins and toxicants. The relationship between dose and its effects on the exposed organism is of high significance in toxicology. Factors that influence chemical toxicity include the dosage (and whether it is acute or chronic), route of exposure, species, age, sex, and environment. Toxicologists are experts on poisons and poisoning.
@@zombiejaba3935 are you a Toxicologist? Well, I'm interested in this field, I am currently a Tech, but I anticipate the career in Toxicology. What are the main courses that a Toxicology cover? Can a Toxicologist create antidotes, drugs, and what other things?

well, you have to know the chemical we use in our daily life also those we are exposed to. Also their properties and effect on living organisms also u need to be good in chemistry, biology, maybe a little physics. these are just my suggestions. I am a Guyanese student and at the age of 11, I was fascinated with chemicals and their reaction to a living organism. IT's also weird I am the only person in my family and in my school who wants to be a toxicologist.
Yes, I'm interested in chemicals, their structure, effects, consequences and systematic arrangements since I can remember. As mentioned before you need to be good at math, chemistry, Biochemistry, medicine and a tad of physics.

How much Tylenol will kill, or how much won’t kill if used with a drug that’s theoretically not going to have good effects? *?* ?
Thanks
😌

So you need to be smart to study toxicology?
