I'm not getting involved with anyone's identity politics or religious/political beliefs, I simply have one LOGIC-BASED question: How TF do they have gender transitioning available in a Fantasy Setting that probably doesn't even include soap or basic plumbing? Do the throngs (all 23 of them) of multi-coloured hair beings legitimately expect that in a Fantasy setting, with magic or without, that ANYONE is going to work out the intricacies of gender transitioning before more meaningful inventions like, say, basic medicine and sanitation?
I miss the Gritty and Dark Fantasy genre that was Dragon Age. And that character creation looks awful so I know the previewers are lying because they are no doubt paid
It amazes me how these have such a horrible amount of narcissism that they feel the need to see themselves in everything. Normal people don't need to see themselves in movies or media in general. We want to see a better version of what a Normal person could be, something to inspire us to be better.
Why can't they go back to their roots (Origin)? Character creator meant you picked an origin. Your starting AREA and STORY changed based on the race and social standing you picked
That last point is why the top surgery scars are so clearly nothing but a political feature, not a gameplay feature. Because while you're actually playing the game, they won't ever be visible. Unless you intentionally choose to sacrifice your armor stats and run around topless, you will never ever see your character's chest.
This industry is rapidly spiraling out of control. It has gotten beyond ridiculous. These people are actively trying to destroy a hobby I have enjoyed since the mid 80s.
Don't they realise that most people like to play as "idealised" characters. For example I - a chubby balding middle-aged man - would choose to play as a handsome muscular chap. Similarly I'm sure that trans men want to appear as "ideal" men, not scarred women.
The artstyle looks a bit toony a little bit of Fortnite energy guess we know their target audience is mentally ill pudding people. Genuinely hope this game doesn't make EA all the money and the studio gets shut down. What a way to crash and burn a legacy.
It would have been far more interesting if you could make a deal with a devil or demon in the game to switch genders as a side quest. Or purchase potions with a temp effect that cost an arm and a leg until your reputation gets to a certain level with a faction. That way like in San Andreas you can seduce or repel certain characters based on your appearnce. Have a super powerful support but they are always hitting on your female self? Temporarily or permantly transition so they can stay focused without the banter. Want to seduce an NPC for a weapon or access to a secret passage? Become their dream lover for a time.
Are there people out there who are that fascinating? Do they think so much of themselves, and are that narcissistic, that they think that being them is better than being a protagonist character of a franchise?
When I was a kid, table top role-playing games were pretty much my main hobby. I was the nerd archetype in the late '70's and throughout the '80's, and spent a great deal of time in Middle Earth, Toril, Krynn and the New York of Marvel Comics... but my parents made it ABUNDANTLY clear that they would stop me from playing those games if they felt for a moment that I couldn't tell the difference between reality and fantasy. I don't think actual adults that don't know what their real gender is should be allowed to tinker with escapist fantasy - they clearly have difficulty knowing fact from fiction. P.S. they look like they belong in the toilet bowl!!
@@judgedrekk2981 Why would you insult the toilet bowl in such a way? 😉
Wait till the whole world is filled with these creatures.
We live in a very disgusting and disturbing times! No one wants this type of crap in our videogames. Jesus Christ.
These people are so predictable. It's never about the product, the market or the fans. It's, always, about making everything revolve around me.
They'd rather pick the "It Gender" instead of picking Male or Female.
Let’s see if the modern audience will show up
I'm not getting involved with anyone's identity politics or religious/political beliefs, I simply have one LOGIC-BASED question: How TF do they have gender transitioning available in a Fantasy Setting that probably doesn't even include soap or basic plumbing? Do the throngs (all 23 of them) of multi-coloured hair beings legitimately expect that in a Fantasy setting, with magic or without, that ANYONE is going to work out the intricacies of gender transitioning before more meaningful inventions like, say, basic medicine and sanitation?
Bioware: "When life gives you lemons, tuck'em!"
Honestly, it's a toss up on who'll jump the shark, the hardest, this year....Bioware or Ubisoft?
I miss the Gritty and Dark Fantasy genre that was Dragon Age. And that character creation looks awful so I know the previewers are lying because they are no doubt paid
It amazes me how these have such a horrible amount of narcissism that they feel the need to see themselves in everything. Normal people don't need to see themselves in movies or media in general. We want to see a better version of what a Normal person could be, something to inspire us to be better.
dragon age veil is definitely the biggest talk of 2024 💀💀, oh how the mighty has fallen
Yeah, totally not targeting children 😂
They could play pretend to be a woman on a fantasy settings but now they need to remind themselves they really aren't.
And then they ask why the western AAA industry is collapsing with tons of layoffs.
These games are not the games we played. Go indie, they take games to where they need to be
Nobody wants their surgical scars to be shown. They wish to have things that are impossible. Surgical scars break the fantasy.
I wonder if the people making these decisions are woke zealots imposing their view of what they *think* trans people want.
This kills it for me.😂
My wallet says no way am I doing this to myself.😂
Vara is too based
Not "certain" modifications. The "UGLY" modifications.
“It was incredibly important to make a game celebrating me.”
This industry is rapidly spiraling out of control. It has gotten beyond ridiculous. These people are actively trying to destroy a hobby I have enjoyed since the mid 80s.
A handful of trans people might play the game, representation is SO important
Sam Hyde said it best. “The average Indian doesn’t want to play as the average Indian. The average Indian wants to play as Arnold Schwarzenegger.”
Wow that's a very deep voice for a Ma'am Ms.Corinne
Don't they realise that most people like to play as "idealised" characters. For example I - a chubby balding middle-aged man - would choose to play as a handsome muscular chap. Similarly I'm sure that trans men want to appear as "ideal" men, not scarred women.
don't try to understand these people, it'll just confuse you more because these people are crazy.
@@Nomolyx1 True
The artstyle looks a bit toony a little bit of Fortnite energy guess we know their target audience is mentally ill pudding people. Genuinely hope this game doesn't make EA all the money and the studio gets shut down. What a way to crash and burn a legacy.
If they took the time to add these features there is very little doubt that this mentality hasn't affected the rest of the game.
I'm actually surprised they put "man" before "woman" in the gender section of the creator... someone is definitely going to lose their job over this.
It will flop and be mocked relentlessly but it will awarded GOTY.
Unlikely.
@@Aerwasilien just a FYI, but Alan Wok 2 won a bunch of awards, although not a GOTY
Just like Inquisition
Very likely to win some awards despite being a failure. Just like alan woke 2.

Players: Can I haz big bobs?
Bioware: Yes ! Well, but only ones that you already cut off.
Players:...
Bioware: Hello? Are you still there?
Can I use cancel magic?
"we're going to add top surgery scars as an option for our character creator!"
"What does this have to do with video games?"
"Video Games?"
They valued themselves way too much.
4:45 So, in other words, a hetero male.
P.S. Vara - I got the disturbing impression that Corrine is trying to steal your image. Kinda creepy....
