    In my opinion religions are a human defense mechanism against 1)uncertainty 2)the inevitability of Death and a way to find meaning in a life without meaning.
    To me I rather enjoy as much as I can in the little time I have on Earth; that's my goal in Life (everyone has his own)

      absolutely agree with the points that you made on the purpose of religions. Also good that you actually know what you want from life (there are so many people that actually don't know what they are doing or want from life)

    I've never heard of this fellow before before your previous videos of him. Thank you for bringing him forth. I am resonating with him.

      There are many people that are against everything that is closely linked to religions at all, but if you have no problem with reading texts from someone who was religious and is not afraid to talk about religion then Kierkegaard is definitely worth checking out!

    That's the problem with religious scripture... it describes an experience that you can only recognize in texts after you had it. Before that, it is based on faith alone ;D

    • @PersonalPower
      @PersonalPower  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      that makes things indeed quite complicated not entirely sure whether I'd call it a problem since faith might actually be a part of that exact experience

    I had a professor, a Jesuit, who said Job was the first existentialist. I side with Camus, but it is an interesting take…

    I took a leap of faith when I decided to study stoicism and used it to better my life. And even though I'm a Christian I think like an atheist I'm taking a leap of faith is something I do all too often using stoicism to better control what I can control and not stress about things I cannot control and using philosophical psychological and spiritual belief systems to better my life stoicism is merely a tool that I used to help get a better view on life also once again love your channel surprised that I'm always waking up exactly when you upload

      Seems like we are in a very similar boat when it comes to approaching belief systems but there is one huge difference... in my time zone its 4pm when I publish my videos

      @@DWSP101 thanks a lot, I'm guessing the low views is a result of my channel being all over the place instead of really narrowing down on a niche

    Religion and Scripture are two very different things. One is the traditions of men. The other the wisdom of the Creator. “They call themselves Believers in Ehyeh, but are the congregation of the evil one.” Have Emunah in His word. Exodus 3:13-17, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 8:8, Matthew 1:23

      @@PersonalPower Cool, same. My interpretation of the afterlife is that we give new life by re-uniting with the Earth, becoming part of the plants and trees, but the train of thought w'ere on right now will end.

      @@gerryfromthevoid8986 that's a beautiful and obvious interpretation of the afterlife, yet people across time tended to disregard it.

      @Murad Qənbərli are you really your consciousness? Try being fully conscious of the moment, try being fully aware of whats going on. You can be fully aware and might think hey yeah I'm fully aware now but you can then ask "who is aware right here?" And all of the sudde you are one layer up, observin the aware being that you thought you were. And you can do this multiple times. If we are our consciousness then we need to first define it and that is quite difficult. Also, I fully agree the brain does not like to think about stuff like that and tries to distract itself
