I got about 90lbs of honey in July, but I never take anything from our fall flow. I will also be feeding my colonies 2:1 syrup over the next few weeks. In my part of the country each colony needs about 7 or 8 deep frames of honey/syrup to make it through winter.
I'm still learning, so I don't know how much they really need to survive the winter here. They both should have almost a full medium of honey, plus I've been feeding them 1:1 lately.
@@FaewoodAcres That should be enough for them to get through what I would image is a much milder and shorter winter than ours. You can always provide them dry sugar for emergency feed, I'll have a video showing how I do it.
