As a Canadian soldier who served in 3 war zones with the US military, I was proud to have served with the members of the US Military, true professionals
I’m currently active duty US Air Force and I just ran into some Canadians recently in Iceland and traded patches with a few of them. Good group of guys, glad to have our brothers to the north by our side.
Honestly Canada is just like America except with better people I'm saying this as an American by the way because everyone I've ever met that's Canadian have always been great people
As an American, I love Canada. Ive been lucky enough to visit twice. I’ve never forgotten the role that Canada played in harboring and ultimately bringing home Americans trapped in Tehran, Iran during the embassy takeover in 1979. So thanks Canada! 🇨🇦
Nah I'd gotta go with us Aussies and NZ, you guys might be close but our biggest military day is ANZAC day, Australia New Zealand Army Corp. You don't really get closer than that.
When 911 happened, thousands of Americans firefighters, paramedics, cops prepared to go to New York to help with the scene. However our friends from the Great North were already on their way. The Canadians were the first to not only offer help, they actually came in the thousands. I’m not sure exactly how many, but I heard ehhh many many times. I have always loved our brothers in the north, but when I went and marched in the delayed memorial service the next year, again our Canadian brothers and sisters were there marching as well. I will always respect you, it was an honor to March with you, I will never forget the respect they showed for us. God Bless Canada. We have fought side by side for over 200 years . Canada is like our best friend that has stayed with us since high school, thru thick and thin. I don’t think we would stand by if someone attacked our brothers, do you?
Of course we wouldn't. Heck even Mexico, as much trouble as the US has with illegal immigration and drug cartels from Mexico, the US, Mexico, and Canada, stand united ready to face any dumbass thinking they can invade one of us. It's part of our best defense. And enemy would have to push through Alaska (harsh winter) Canada (Same), and cross tons of land just to even invade the US, same with Mexico, or they'd have to have a large enough navy to attempt to land on the coasts across 2 huge oceans, and even then they'd have to get past not only the US Navy (tough enough already) but also Canada and maybe Mexico's too. ANd if trying to cross Mexico you got a shit ton of desert to cross, and I;m sure by then the 3 countries would jointly mobilize their troops to Alaska or into Mexico and put up a joint defense effort, while the Navy pulls what ships it needs and cuts off enemy reinforcements, the enemy would need to land such a massive force, then even if they got past Mexico and Canada they'd have to fight through veried and large terrain and contend with US soldiers and one f the most well armed civilians in the world, even then if they could somehow take out some US leaders or take or destroy DC, the US has contingency plans for this, so you'd see such and epic guerilla war effort by US soldiers and civies, the enemy would be crushed pretty soon, and this is me just being generous with the enemy's chances, i reality the US along with Canada and Mexico is so well equiped the enemy wouldn't even make landfall, or barely get far before being decimated. The only thng we'd have to worry about is if Canada and Mexico both turned on the US, but I doubt that would ever happen as even if the government leaders pushed for this kind of war, the Canadian people at least would shut it down as a war with the US would be idiotic.
American Army officer here. I've trained with the Canadians in Canada, the States, and Latvia. The Canadians, like the Brits, punch way above their weight. Discipline, training, and professionalism are the hallmarks of a first rate military, no matter the size.
The thing about smaller but powerful military powers like the uk and Canada is they are normally groups you'd never want to fuck with as they know exactly how to fight and fuck you up
I recall when hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, I saw a report that stated the first helicopter to start rescuing people from their rooftops was from Canada! Thank you! I don’t live there, but I do appreciate the kindness your country showed towards those who so badly needed the help. Bless Canada! Greetings from Texas! 👍🇺🇸
Thank you for being a decent human being. I was one of them, It was actually in St. Bernard Parish, Canadians were the first rescuers those folks saw. Our Navy sailed from our East Coast and landed troops, supplies and rescuers before most American aid got on the ground. We have a small military but we can get "effective" boots on the ground on a moments notice, little red tape and/or bullshit. I loved being part of the effort and have since returned many times to help our American friends in their time of need including a stint in Texas during the last bad floods. Unfortunately the previous American administration has promoted so much hatred toward my country it will take many years before I step foot in the U.S. again especially after a bunch of red hatted ass wipes pushed around my elderly relatives in Florida for simply being Canadian. That insanity needs to stop.
I lived near Kingston during the ice storm back in 1998. It was January and had no power for a week. I remember seeing a convoy of electrical service trucks coming north from Detroit to help restore power. There was 70 to 80 trucks. If you have never been in Canada in January you might not understand how cold it can get. Privileged to have the neighbours to the South!
@Rob Rochon Well said. There are so many people that simply have no idea where the truths are concerning Trump. They just have never heard it if they only listen to Main Stream Media. I'm in Boston and there has always been a kinship and bond with Canadians except at the Bruins games! The Canadian Military has a long history of being Fierce Fighters, Tenacious! Some of the best fighter pilots in WW2. Britain would of fallen if it wasn't for the RCAF
As an American, I will always say this about our brothers to the north...don't f*** with our brothers to the north. The video doesn't lie, Canada's special ops teams are no joke, with an active unnamed member currently holding the longest sniper shot record at over 3,540m.
After a few misses, he loaded in American Made Ammo, and made the shot.. I'm almost positive on that.. I remember watching a show about it on the history channel I think.. Anyways 1 hell of a shot..
@@sam8076 well yeah I'm American but ever since the start of the cold war the USA has always built it's military up and up and up and defense the main reason is because the USA thinks by being power and strong no country would mess with them in fact the only country's that are strong enough to mess and maybe take down the USA is China and Russia especially if they team up the USA is just dead
@@Steve-zc9ht Home land Invasion of USA is just plain impossible, imagine facing the whole US Navy with the US Air force in their home water, then think about the logistics of crossing those 2 oceans just to get near and when you get near your ships are vulnerable to air attacks by the nation who got the world's number 1 air and number 2 air power, Russia and China can beat them outside but Homeland invasion is just impossible.
I was in Afghanistan with some Canadians for a bit, they good dudes. Good rations too. Did y’all know a Canadian holds the record for longest confirmed sniper kill? 3540 meters.
Thank you Canada for your assistance. Most people in the world do not know why America decided to use that horrible atomic bomb . We are not beast and in no way did we start this conflict. Japan was warned as I understand, and still kept up their assault on America. AMERICA ENDED IT QUICKLY IN HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI, with insidious results there for innocent peoples. Please God never let another event happen anywhere in the world from these deadly necular bombs.
Canada: We've never lost a fight. Bad guy: *Rolling up sleeves, getting ready to fight. Spots America, who is armed to the teeth.* Bad Guy: We're just kidding!!!! Get over here Canada! Give us a hug! No, but seriously. We love our neighbors to the north! No one messes with Canada without also messing with the U.S.
Yeah, it's easy to say we've never lost a fight when we've got a giant big brother behind us while we're lipping bullies off 😂 - Thanks big bro 👍 Always got your back too!
No worries Canada, we got you. We'd never let anything happen to our polite neighbors to the north. But if you could maybe do something about your cold air that keeps drifting over the border and causing havoc here we'd appreciate it. :)
@@SilvanaDil Sorry bit of a comic book nut. So a bit confused. Where you speaking of Freeland in Gotham. Which would be funny in a way. Or more likely I admit were you speaking of Kate Freeland?
I worked with Canadian Forces while in the US Military. I had nothing but positive experiences with them. They’re like my next door neighbor with different uniform. Only the usual ‘aboot’ and eh’s reminds me they’re Canadian. I still have a Canadian Flag, part of my exchanges with foreign forces collection. We have both each other’s backs. 🇺🇸🇨🇦
Canada provides a huge contribution to the defense of the United States through the factor of its immense size. You provide significant time for defenses if we were to get attacked from the Arctic as your northern territories and provinces are well monitored through dual protection agreements. We also know that you’ve always got our back. There have been so many examples of this. One well known case was in 1979 when the Canadian embassy in Tehran hid American diplomats after the US embassy has been seized. This came at high cost for Canada as they were forced to close their embassy in Tehran after this act of support for us.
@Rob Rochon There’s an amazing Tony & Olivier Award winning musical based on the story taking place in Gander, Newfoundland. It’s called “Come From Away”. I’ve never seen it on stage but I’ve heard the live cast album and seen some video performances. It’s amazing.
@Rob Rochon How many soldiers come from those places? Not many. Most come from places like the South and the coasts with warmer climates. During the Texas freeze this year, Most of is could not handle single digit temps and many died. How do you think we would do in the -30 degrees?
@@cobes11 you're talking about in a state that barely gets below freezing and people don't buy warm clothing because of it. The power was out for weeks, so no heat at all with no fireplaces because it's Texas. With that said, our military comes from all over the country. They train in all types of weather and climates to make sure they are ready. Don't forget, we also have military bases in Alaska.k
Thank you for doing this, was entertaining and fun to see your reactions. As an American I am more than happy that we have such good neighbors to the North and have enjoyed such a mutually beneficial relationship.
I'm an American and I was only in Canada once when I was around 10 years old and I loved it! I went to Toronto and saw Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. That trip still stands out to me decades later. A few years ago I saw a comedian who said Canada is like the attic of the United States...You don't get up there that often but when you do there's some cool s*** up there!
Btw, it really wasn't Canada fighting the USA in 1812. It was the full fledged power of the British military. Canada didn't technically exist as a nation until 1867. All military forces up until then were British Colonials, which the USA had just fought a few decades earlier in the Revolution....and almost lost. The British were one tough force back then. The USA was mainly just a bunch of farmers and tradesman, until the industrial revolution around/after the Civil War.
and the men are so handsome! Went to BC to the Great Bear Rain Forest, and an awful lot of good looking men...good thing I am too old to do more than look!
As a American, i can attest we love Canada & Canadians. you guys rock and we honestly do love you though we tease you guys alot and vice-versa but its all in good natured fun. as an American militray veteran, i consider your country (Canada) as America's most trust-worthy and reliable ally in the entire world !!!
Definitely helps that they have some of the harshest environments on the planet to grow up in, and then later train in the military. Quality, not quantity.
As an a person who lives in US, I really do believe Canadas Joint Task Force 2 is one of the best special operations forces in the world next to Delta and SAS 💯💯..

When in the USAF served with Canadians as we both jointly served in Aerospace Defense Command ( NORAD )Spent a lot of time in Canada and while sometimes our cultures clashed, I always felt welcome in Canada. Have only good memories serving with our Canadian partners and the hospitality of the Canadian Citizens
@TheManMan , Why are you making such unnecessary and out-of-place anti-British comments? The original commenter was making a positive comment to the US and Canada from the UK, and my reply was a joke and not complaining about the UK in any way. Your multiple anti-British comments just come off randomly bitter and stupid in the context of the conversation.
@TheManMan as Geordie I don’t mean to be mean to be rude but as the public , most of us don’t really care but either way I wanna move to Canada so lol.
"Didn't we burn down the White House? Sorry guys" 200 years later and still apologizing, you guys ARE Canadians. ;-) Seriously though, love this and much love for our brothers to the Great White North.
Just FYI, the British burned it not the Canadians. It was British regulars that used Canada as a staging point. Americans had looted and partially burned York twice, the then capital of the Canadian territories, during the War of 1812 (they also looted and partially burned the secondary capital as well), so maybe it's best not to keep count.
Kind of like Robin Williams said "Canada is like the loft apartment over a really great party..... KEEP IT DOWN eh." lol just playin. love my Canadian bros.
Kudos to Canada. Canada is our best friend. Yes, we've had our differences in the past (sorry for that, we were, um....enthusiastic..) but today our mutual interests and our mutual culture make us the greatest of allies. Oh Canada!
As a Minnesota girl I love the Yeah No, For Sure sweatshirt lol! I've always felt that my state has always had a bond with Canada and Canadians in general sharing similar climates, love of the outdoors and hockey 😀
Live in Minnesota and grew up in northern Minnesota!!!!lots of friends used to go to Canada and fish!!!I am glad you have our backs and we have yours!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
Every single Canadian that I have ever met has been tremendously polite and friendly. Never had a bad encounter with a Canadian. A Canadian frigate made a port call when I was stationed down in Norfolk one time for Fleet Week and I was invited on board several times for formal dinners they were throwing (I was Chief of the Guard for their pier for several days, so most of them got to know me pretty well).
Canada survived the War of 1812, but "win" is a strong word, and the video you watched was a bit off with the notion that the war was about American expansion. It was British violations of American sovereignty, not America wanting land, though Canada was a war aim (but not the cause).
Hey, you completely kicked our asses 207 years ago...though you were technically still part of the UK then...its funny how it seems like so many of those relics have turned into Hockey rinks in both the US and Canada.
Greetings from Minnesota, the Canada of the US. Love the channel boys. I will say the only time I've experienced Canadian aggression is when it comes to hockey. I drove up to Winnipeg to watch the Wild play the Jets in their first year back. I'll tell you, wearing a Wild jersey into Bell MTS Place is no joke! Lol. But it was all in good fun. Also, had a lot of fun with Jets fans when they came down to St. Paul. You guys are awesome.
America was not fighting Canada in 1812, we were fighting Britain. We did some fighting in Canada but it was because of Britain, not because of Canada. Also, Canada has some of the best snipers in the world. Three of the top five record holders are Canadian and the number one is Canadian.
@@andrewmerritt8790 Not really, you guys failed all of your strategic military objectives for the campaign, while the British and Canadian militia met almost all of theirs. At best its a draw. The only objective you guys met was not get counter invaded by the brits, and still remain a country afterward.
Sure us Americans like to pick on Canada, but it's all in good fun. We genuinely consider you as our little brother, and NOBODY messes with our brother!
As brothers go, I feel like America is the doofus kid who'd ask us to zip him into the luggage, and push him down the stairs for shits and giggles. Canada is the kid who'd sit there with the camcorder and laugh his ass off.
I trained Canadian troops when I was in the Marines, it was a lot like the army. Some units were pretty tactically knowledgeable. But many weren’t. Discipline was probably the biggest factor. Many weren’t very disciplined tactically or rank structure. But they were fun to be around. I always enjoyed talking to them. Semper fi
Everything I knew about Canada came from watching Strange Brew. Once I visited I realized Strange Brew is actually a documentary. Nothing but beer, hockey, Euchre, and jelly donuts at Tim Ho's!
US and Canada are like brothers. Same with Mexico. We have disagreements but as brothers we support each other. Never will be any type of fighting between us.
Well, technically, if a NATO nation attacks another NATO nation, then the attacking nation officially betrays the pact and the rest of all of NATO has the right to defend the victim nation.
I'm American and proud to have served. Just want to say to the Canadians, always remember Passchendaele and the victory you won. Much respect to the Canadian military.
Also, Canada's military may not be large, but it's well-trained and highly capable for its size. But it is the Inforgraphic channel, and it tends to have a penchant for this kind of thing for both the U.S. and Canada.
Here in lies the issue with the infographic channel they only give really general information. For instance the US defense budget, which sounds pretty big, doesn't just include military spending. The budget includes some of the expenditures of the alphabet agencies (DoH, DoD, CIA, NSA, etc.); it also includes the budgets for research and development such as DARPA which more than just weapons, but also stuff used in daily life (GPS, duct tape first invented for soldier's use, the earlier form of super glue, etc.); and so many other miscellaneous expenditures that are filed under 'defense.'
From America we love our lil bros from the south you are apart of what makes our continent so great love y’all! We will always have your guys back! And I’m sure the same for y’all!
Fun fact that’s left out of this video is It has been estimated that there are 2,308,000 hunters in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Michigan and Idaho combined. The hunters in those five states alone would comprise the largest army in the world. The number of hunters in Texas would be the largest standing army in the world all by itself
Eh... they be friendly for this channel. But Canadas self identifying "culture" us anti american. Theres a youtuber who goes in depth about the anti american woke culture that Canada pushes.
I love your take on the history of the War of 1812. Ya might wanna look more into it tho. Maybe listen to "The Star Spangled Banner As You've Never Heard It." The War of 1812 wasn't about Americans attacking Canadians to take over. It was, in fact, The UK trying to get the colonies all back. So you didn't win the War of 1812, or we'd all be British.
A Canadian sniper has the longest shot in military history. I want to say it's around 2 miles. That's crazy 2 miles with a 50 caliber Barrett sniper rifle.
I love how one of them said " didn't we burn the white house down?" And then they both immediately start apologizing! 🤣🤣🤣 Being American, I found it very funny. Glad to see that we have such a great and friendly country bordering us!!
When are we going to apologize for burning their capitol? The burned ours in retaliation. I guess it is bad manners to point out someone else's bad manners...it is better to apologize for feeling offended!
Well, 1812 was USA v. British Empire; it ended in a draw. (And, yes, some parts of present day Canada were burned; they just weren't as famous as the White House.)
No thanks. We've got too many leftist freaks in this country already. Instead of adding a bunch of Canadian lefties to the lot, I'd rather deport the ones that we've got to Canada.
Fun facts about our standard issue service rifle for the Canadian Armed forces: The C7A2 uses the ELCAN C79A2 4-1x magnification scope with top ironsights The C7 variant is one of the only rifles used by NATO still using a 20 inch barrel, where as other NATO countries use barrels between 12 and 16 inches. BUT the C7A2 does use a telescopic stock allowing it to be retracted and makes it more ease of use in buildings making CQC easier than the C7A1 which does not have a retractable stock The C7A2 is not only more accurate than the M4 due to the production line of the barrels, but also has a longer lifespan due to the barrels being cold forge steel whereas the American rifle barrels are just made on a cheap production line Reply to this comment if you want to know anything else about the C7.
We are all Terran., The U.S. and Canada have no reason to fight each other; but have every reason to work together with all Terrans to better ourselves, and prosper.
As a fellow Canadian I understand your fears of nuclear war I was born in 1970 and even as a child I knew about nuclear war but to be quiet honest we didn't think much about it, in fact I think instead we tried to live everyday to its fullest and we planned are futures, mine was to travel the world and since I've been all over Canada and the States, five countries in Europe, three in Asia (8 times to Thailand) and a seven day cruise up the Nile in Egypt I haven't done that bad and my trips aren't over yet. So if I was going to talk to teenagers now a days I would say plan your goals and make sure you do what you planned that way you won't have any regrets.
Not gonna lie, I have a lot of respect for my northern neighbors...you let us fight in your army in Europe before we officially entered WW1, you stormed the beaches of Normandy with us in WW2, and your special forces guys are putting boots up terrorist a**es with us right now being just as lethal...but we are your internationally recognized defense force, so keep it down over there. Much love!
Only 20 seconds in watching this channel for the first time and already love their personalities and humor and all that great job new subscriber love from the United States 🇺🇸🇨🇦
Wait a minute, it was British troops who invaded Washington D.C. and burned down the WH, the US Capitol and other government buildings. You guys weren’t even a country yet; I thought y’all became the Dominion of Canada in 1867. Even then, didn’t y’all still belong to the British. Aren’t y’all still subordinates of the British crown? I’m probably wrong in assuming that but I thought y’all still have ties to the British unlike us.
We are no longer subservient to Britain, but the Queen is still our monarch. It's a weird technicality, but since the Royal Family is little more than a figurehead, it doesn't interfere with day-to-day operations. For all intents and purposes, we rule ourselves, and the Royals are Canada's most popular celebrities. We're still pretty close though. We may have moved out of the house, but we still come over for Christmas.
Basically America's military is also Canada's , in my opinion if anyone was dumb enough to invade Canada , America would not take that shit sitting down. We have nuclear weapons which can travel around the world and then some so do not fuck with our neighbors or our home land. I'm just one american but I love Canadians and have always been thankful for such great neighbors.
One thing about the US. They dont forget. If you have helped them or stood with them in the past, they will be there for you. It may not always make the nightly news, but it does happen on a regular basis.

I had the privileged to work hand in hand with the Canadian Air Force with the AWACS (962nd AACS) squadron in Alaska. They are very professionals, courteous and integral part of the squadron. The USAF plane that crashed and killed 24 in Alaska included Canadian Air Force aircrews. There was a painting done titled the 24. We had French-Canadians and English Canadians, they always argued who’s the best hockey player of all time, Wayne Gretzky or Mario Lemieux.
Canada is that little cute adorable brother that always helps the big brother get the hot chicks much love and respect from America I forget what event it was but the national anthem cut off and the Canadian people finish the American national anthem from then I've been learning the Canadian national anthem
I think it was a hockey game Canada was hosting. If I remember right, the microphone cut out during our (USA) national anthem and the Canadians realized what happened and finished singing it.

We also know that you’ve always got our back. There have been so many examples of this. @Rob Rochon How many soldiers come from those places? Not many. Most come from places like the South and the coasts with warmer climates. During the Texas freeze this year, Most of is could not handle single digit temps and many died. How do you think we would do in the -30 degrees?

Btw, it really wasn't Canada fighting the USA in 1812. It was the full fledged power of the British military. Canada didn't technically exist as a nation until 1867. All military forces up until then were British Colonials, which the USA had just fought a few decades earlier in the Revolution....and almost lost. The British were one tough force back then. The USA was mainly just a bunch of farmers and tradesman, until the industrial revolution around/after the Civil War.

Canada survived the War of 1812, but "win" is a strong word, and the video you watched was a bit off with the notion that the war was about American expansion. It was British violations of American sovereignty, not America wanting land, though Canada was a war aim (but not the cause).

Fun facts about our standard issue service rifle for the Canadian Armed forces:
The C7A2 uses the ELCAN C79A2 4-1x magnification scope with top ironsights
The C7 variant is one of the only rifles used by NATO still using a 20 inch barrel, where as other NATO countries use barrels between 12 and 16 inches. BUT the C7A2 does use a telescopic stock allowing it to be retracted and makes it more ease of use in buildings making CQC easier than the C7A1 which does not have a retractable stock
The C7A2 is not only more accurate than the M4 due to the production line of the barrels, but also has a longer lifespan due to the barrels being cold forge steel whereas the American rifle barrels are just made on a cheap production line
