Guys, this was either too fast or too long, or both. It starts out so happy, but by the end, some of dancers are clearly distressed. The audience would be perfectly happy with a more relaxed and loving performance.
@Trixie287 - I was just thinking that they danced for eight minutes at a constant heart rate of 250(???) and nobody passed out or gasped for air or had to be carried out on a stretcher. It's probably no accident that clogging originated in mountain country where people grow up climbing hills all day long, develop powerful muscles and a strong heartbeat. So should we all move to Appalachia? Would they let us in?
look, back in the day, people, had dirt or clay floors ? so, this dancing, was a way, of keeping the floor level *** beat that. in mexico, it's a way, of, keeping the cockroaches down ? you trap them, under your sombrero, and stamp on them, as they try to escape, from under it
epic fail from whoever filmed this....clogging is a celebration of human movement from head to toe....couldnt watch this to the end as a result of the closeups destroying the visual groove,,,,,
An “epic fail?” Come-on “TonyHunter7760”, how old are you? You’re blowing hot-air up the orifice😮💨 with your critical & ridiculous comments regarding the photographer! This footage is a 40+yr-old home-video taken by one of the performers parent for the sole enjoyment of their family & friends … certainly not for your egotistical arsh. Didn’t your mother tell you to “just sit back and enjoy the show, keeping your negative comments to yourself.” . . .🙄
You poor thing. Others, myself included who enjoy every aspect of this dance perhaps appreciate the opportunity to watch the close ups, the feet in rhythm, the expressions of the dancers after 5 minutes etc. Life isn’t about one person but a collective opportunity to learn and enjoy. Congratulations to the dancers, very well done, thank you I enjoyed it very much.
Johnlvs2run - The “guy yelling” is the official ‘Caller’. You could refer to him as the ‘director of the dance’. Similar to Square Dancing, Callers yell out directions to the dancers informing them of their next moves! Without a Caller, dancers would simply be dancing-in-circles around the 🔥campfire🔥 🥴 🙃You must be very young . . . or I must be very old🤣🤣😖
I am 86 years old and have loved to watch clogging most all my life. This group of cloggers is the best I've ever seen!
Excellent,, from Dumfries Scotland

Agreed
That guy constantly yelling ruined the ambiance.
