    I just did a 21 hour fast. I have been easing into it with 14, then 16 then 18 hour Intermittent fasting with Healthy Keto diet. Wow, my energy is back. Just 7 weeks ago I was in ER as I had a brain melt, so confused, fingers went numb, lost perpheral vision for 20 min, it was horrifying. Found I had an old mini stroke and my blood sugars were 306!!!!! I wasn't checking them. I was so very dizzy all the time at times knocking me off balance and so fatigued all the time. I immidiately gave up all sugar and carbs and followed the day I got home from ER Dr. Eric Berg and Dr. Jason Fung. They are transforming and saving my life!!!!! Thank you so very much. I'm so grateful to my friend for introducing me to their programs. I look forward to fasting 3-5 days. My sugars are now as low as 125!! And its only been 7 weeks!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooo Hoooooooo!!!!!

    It's all about commitment. I've been on 20/4 fasting for over 20 days and have seen significant lost in my stomach inflammation. It's not only about fasting but eating the correct anti inflammatory carbs and protein in order to get proper nutrients in your body. I skip breakfast. Actually have eliminated breakfast from my daily diet. My lunch is at 2PM and my dinner is at 6PM maximum 7PM having only water afterwards or green tea without sugar. I'm done with sugar, starch, rice, potatoes, bread, etcetera because they are source of inflammation. Tumeric is my allied for my protein intake. I don't see an issue making fasting a life style. Please avoid junk food as it's poison for your body and your entire life.
    Great conversation. Thanks very much.

    Yes ! I don't "have" to, I get to, is crucial for me when it comes to the mindset for fasting. Wonderful video. So inspiring.

    I have been intermittent fasting for over a year now. And I feel much healthier And no more fatigue and pain all over my body. No more pain killers from the Doctor. Fasting is much easier and no need to count calories. Give your body a rest from eating so it can heal. Good luck people and be safe when you are fasting.

    hi Megan, i am a GP in adelaide. Am a big fan of Jason and your work, but its disappointing TFM is so expensive online and is really out of reach of people who need it most. Any thoughts?

    How often do you recommend 3-5 day fasts? Weekly? Per month? Couple times a year?

    Do you think fasting helps with depression or anxiety?

    • @TheFastingMethod
      @TheFastingMethod  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Naomi, some people say their anxiety and depression improve but there's no data to support it yet.

      @@TheFastingMethod I am one of them! But overdoing a fast can also cause it! It's a fine balance for me! Might be lack of nutrients for the longer term fasts.

    I need to change my way of showing love, I have always shown love through cooking for people. I need to learn how to stay out of the kitchen. That’s my downfall habit

    Well done for this video Megan, I like to give some information that you might tell everyone. One, if fasting... when do we do take tablets and Insulin in morning because say take after eating? Next Keto, eating butter can be very dangerous to add weight to lower intestine when your Gall Bladder taken out. Exercising does not help weight go away when a diabetic! Why do Keto when liver not handle FAT. Thank you, Sgt E Dickey

      Hey Edward, it's always best to follow your doctor's advice for your own medical conditions and medications! Fasting should be a decision made as a team.
